Nothing fancy, just good basic dish towels It was time to cycle through some of our older dish towels, and these seemed like a good value for the quantity. I've bought this bundle of towels twice (one was labeled differently but they are the same), and they've held up great. No shedding, no rips, no fraying edges---even after many trips through the laundry.Note: these are used primarily for drying hands and wiping small spills; that is, we aren't using them for drying dishes. They are fine for our purposes, but I think they would not be large or absorbent enough for drying dishes and pans on a regular basis. They are just basic "utility" towels, nothing heavy-duty. 4Worst towels! They are not absorbent at all! These are the worst towels! I bought them because the reviews were really great. I am not sure how they got such a good rating. The do not dry anything, they smear the water around the counter, they do not work well to dry anything. They are horrible! I washed them and they are coming apart at the seems. They look nice, but are not good towels at all. I wouldn t recommend them. 1Really like these. Would buy again. These turned out to be slightly softer and thinner than I'd expected, but are by no means thin. The softness does decrease the absorbency over thicker ones I've used, but I still really like them. They seem to be good quality, handle the wash well, and are a good value for the amount and price you get. Love that I get two colors. Whenever these finally wear out (a long time from now I'd guess), I'd be happy to replace with the same ones. 4Not sized as described, very poor quality white checked barely 15X24, darker barely 15X22, not as described 15X25 - poor quality towels - sewing, especially on darker very poor quality, will not buy from this seller again 1Repells water, not absorbant at all. 4 months since usage.These just dont absorb water in the way we want ie dish drying & counter drying.Take a washed pan dripping, apply these towels and you literally see the water pushed around and smeared over the pan, not dried.Attempt to wipe a spill on the counter with these and you instantly increase the size of the wet spot.Thought about donating to my garage for checking oil & wiping hands but nope, dont want them doing a bad job there either.Trashed. 2Came apart after 1 wash Seemed nice when I got them. Washed in cold water hand wash cycle in the washer and 5 of the towels started to fall apart and unravelled at the seams. Not impressed expect a better quality! 1Frankly surprised they are more substantial than expected and at a great price point. I try to limit my kitchen towels to only be used for drying to keep them clean as long as possible, but they're the handy, go to item and so are inevitable used for everything and so get dirty more quickly. So I like to have a clean supply at the ready. I saw these towels and ordered them, really expecting to be disappointed due to their low cost. When they arrived I was immediately surprised that they had more heft and cotton than expected. They were immediately washed, of course, but after washing I saw no thread snags or shrinkage. They absorb water well and far better than similarly priced but thinner towels. Very satisfied and a really good value for the price and utility. 5Okay .. Not very absorbent. I am using them to dry my hands in the kitchen. I washed them before use and I wish I washed them separately because they gave off a lot of lint and destroyed one of my jackets. Also I expect that they won't last couple washes; threads were coming off in couple of the towels ...Grey towels give off color too so definitely wash them with darks. 3Holy cow, THEY WORK! GET THESE TOWELS. THESE TOWELS ABSORB WATER!!!!I know that sounds .. obvious? But you would be surprised at how many simply don't. Kitchen towels have one purpose, to absorb water. Yeah, that's right, they have ONE JOB and so many simply do not do it, even though they are marketed as absorbent (some towels are more for polishing than drying).If you, like me, were dismayed at living in a society and world that produced defective towels, these will delight you. They're cotton so they'll leave some lint, but *they are kitchen towels, not dish towels, so they're supposed to*.I'm glad I got that out of my system, and I'm glad I bought these. 5Seam and weave durability Product looks nice but after washing these towels on a light cycle the seams and piled weave seem to deteriorate.. this was just a preliminary wash. 1
