    DO NOT BUY THIS! This chair CRACKED in half while I was rocking my child. He and I ended up on the FLOOR! Do not purchase this product!!!!! By the way I ordered this chair in February. 1Does not last long I came back to revise my review after using this chair for 5 months. While I love the look and feel of the chair, the springs started popping out after 3 months of use. I've glued them back in several times using different adhesives but they still will not stay. I am 125 lb so I don't think weight is the issue, but it makes me feel bad when I get up and hear the chair break every day. It is no longer useful. I regret going with a cheaper product for something that is used daily, so now I will spend more replacing it with something of higher quality. I don't like posting negative reviews, but I think this is worth mentioning since it did not even make it 6 months. 1Two chairs have broken in less than a year I purchased this chair in November 2016, the chair was not used until my son was born at the end of February 2017. The chair was then used daily by adults weighing 180lbs or less (definitely not over the weight limit of the chair).In October 2017 (6 months of regular use), the bearing broke leaving the chair unable to rock and leaning to one side. I tried contacting the company with no luck finding contact information. I then reached out to amazon who told me they did not have contact information for the company and didn t know how to get in touch with them. Amazon customer service stated that I could not return the chair because it was out of the return window. They said all they could do was have me buy a box, break down the chair and pack it in said box, and pay to ship it back to them, and they would ship me a new chair. After a long fight with amazon customer service they finally agreed to ship me a new chair and email a prepaid return label so I could ship the broken chair back in the box that the new chair came in. Seems fair, so we did that. We received our new chair November 2017.It is now June 2018 and this new chair is now broken (7 months of light use). The left arm of the chair snapped completely off the chair and if you sit in it and use the arm rests you will fall out the left side of the chair. I will be contacting amazon customer service again for a return of this chair, will update once I get a resolution.Long story short, AVOID THIS CHAIR. Save your money, time, and energy and purchase a nicer chair. This chair is junk and the company is worthless. Amazon Customer Service is usually great but they have been such a hassle about this chair. 1Life saver!! While pregnant I agonized for months over which rocking chair to buy for breastfeeding. I knew it would only get used for a few short months then go sit in a corner and gather dust so I didn't want to spend a lot of money on it. I kept coming back to this one but just couldn't justify the price tag, and ended up accepting an old wicker rocking chair from my parents house that apparently they used when I was a baby, although I swear I've never seen that chair in their house all these years. It was hard and uncomfortable and rickety but hey it was free right? Well, I used it to breastfeed and pump for a couple of days after bringing the baby home and was miserable. I went to our first pediatrician appointment which was also a lactation consultation, and they had this amazing gliding chair. My back was KILLING me at this point from all the hunching over during feeding and pumping sessions, and I about cried with relief when I sat down in it. I had to have one. So after 2 months of trying to live with the awful chair, I gave in and got this, even though the reviews had made me cringe... I was scared to death of it falling apart on us. It took my husband about 10 minutes to put together and said (jokingly) whoever the chair broke apart for must have either done it wrong or were really fat, because he was impressed with the materials and such. I'm still on the lookout for it giving out on us but so far so good! I actually look forward to using it and it makes feedings MUCH less stressful, which is incredibly important for milk production. It goes beautifully with the theme of the nursery too! I actually plan on using this for my gaming chair after it's served it's baby purpose. The only minor complaint I could possibly have is that if I use the ottoman while rocking it tends to make me feel motion sickness which I never get, but if I put my feet on the floor instead I don't have that problem. Not sure why this is but I'm sure it's just a thing unique to me that I'll eventually get over. This chair has saved me! 5Like many others and with many different products Like many others and with many different products, when it's the number one best-seller you automatically think there is a good reason for that. You anticipate receive an amazing product and move along with your life, happy with your purchase because it serves the purpose, and serves it quite well. I am a 180 pound father. Not heavy or out of shape by any standards. First time I sat on the chair and leaned back the wood shredding in half like paper, and I had my 10 month old son in my arms. We fell backward and luckily he did not get hurt. So thank you amazon and thank you Longwood Forest Products for sending me a wooden chair with the strength of a toothpick. And you're welcome for my regard for not sharing multiple expletives. 1Look elsewhere! Do not be bamboozled! Have had this chair for 7 months. About 2 months ago it started squeaking quietly when in use. Then it gradually got louder and louder. We tried oiling everything no dice. The squeaking just grew louder, except now there was an additional BOOM when you sat in it. (To clarify this chair was used daily by myself and my husband, both of normal weights and sizes. It was used to rock a wee baby to sleep, not in cage fighting.)So this booming went on for a few weeks. The squeaking continued. Two days ago the boom finally graduated to a snapping and the chair broke while my husband was sitting in it. I don t know much about rocking chair assembly, but apparently a bearing broke? After 7 months of light use.I also agree with another reviewer about its potential to tip over. My 3 year old sat in it (again, no WWF chair throwing) and it tipped backwards. Another day, it tipped forward. Just not very impressed. I would advise to just pay a little more and get a better chair. 1Update to review Update to review: April 22, 2017I bought this chair in August of 2016 and absolutely loved the feel and perceived quality. Unfortunately, that didn't last. Within 3 months it started to creak, then squeak loudly if I rocked in it at all. I cannot out my kid to sleep if the chair makes horrendous noise Everytime I move.After putting up with the noise for a bit by not rocking in it, I looked underneath and two of the support railings had broken and we're out of their settings. I figured that was my fault since I weight 189lbs and with baby we weight over 200. (Yeah big baby.) So I repaired it, gluing what needed glued, resetting what needed reset. It was a HUGE pain but I felt it was worth it at the time.Had I known that was only the beginning of my problems, I would've boxed it up and sent it back. Since November-December I've repaired the chair a total of 4 times and now as you can see one of the rods has completely broken off!What a piece of junk, if it doesn't even last a year. Ridiculous! Don't waste your money. Pay $10 more and get a Stork one. One of those was given to me as a gift and is still going strong a year and a half later.Fantastic rocking chair! It's comfortable, priced right and versatile. The only issue is that it squeeks a little when I rock, which for me is no issue, but might be a problem for mothers with light sleeping baby's. 1Great deal So comfy and cute. After searching for a glider for a decent price for months we picked this for our daughters nursery and our thankfully doesn't squeak or malfunction in any way! It's definitely a great deal, so glad we bought it. 5Adorable, comfortable, affordable We purchased this chair for my daughter s room. It arrived quickly and was remarkably easy to assemble. The snaps were a bit difficult, as other reviewers have indicated, but if you employ a bit of elbow grease and patience, they snap into place quite nicely. It looks great and is very comfortable. Let s get down to the brass tacks:Pros:*package arrived earlier than expected and was well-packaged.*the item color was exactly as described and shown in the description (light pink).*sturdy construction*smooth bearings and smooth rocking motion*well-constructed*heavy-duty fabric on the upholstery*the side pocket is great for storing storybooks, etc.*ridiculously quick and easy assemblyCons:*the snaps were a bit difficult to fasten when we assembled it, but it worked out.For the price, you really can t go wrong with this! See the pictures - it s great!UPDATE: We've been using this chair multiple times daily and have had no issues with it at all. My husband and dad (both well over 200 pounds) use it daily, as do my daughter and I. The chair still rocks smoothly and has held up remarkably well. Have had this chair put together for a little over 3 months. One day it broke. My husband took it apart and noticed that one of the pieces was not sitting right because a bearing was jammed so far in that we can't remove it and fix it. Will be contacting the company to see if they will replace the piece and will update this review to let others know how the customer service is. 1
