    No more chipping on the granite countertop! I was afraid this container would not fit my old Waring base (model 51BL26), but with a little "push" down, it works just fine. I no longer have to worry about chipping the rim, as I did with my glass container. The size is smaller, but it holds two "smoothies" perfectly, which I make every single day. I am more careful about cleaning this product. No more in the dishwasher. I rinse it out immediately after using, and it is ready for the next day. 5This is pricey but it is the only blender top ... This is pricey but it is the only blender top that is 1. glass and 2. classy OK I am weird but my old top broke after several years and could have bought a whole blender for less but nothing as nice 5Don't buy, invest in a whole new blender really disappointed that the blade has become loose and won't blend. My original glass container lasted 10+ years, this one, just over a year. For $80 I thought I was buying a quality product. 1Blade's already broken after 6 uses! Used this for 6 smoothies (no ice!) and the blade's broken. Seriously disappointed in Amazon (my go to retailer) for selling this garbage to me, and in myself for not reading the reviews first, the blade is obviously defective. How can they force me to put even one star?! Last purchase here, I hate cheats. 1As advertised Works just like the original parts. 5Waring quality has disappeared We've had a Waring blender for years, but didn't actually use it all that much until fairly recently, when my wife got into the smoothie thing. She started using it 1-2 times per day for several months, generally using frozen fruit and milk or yogurt and various seeds. The original pitcher eventually wore out in a kind of scary way; the blade assembly must have started to loosen, and is spewed glass shards into a smoothie.We bought a replacement pitcher which lasted several months before the blade seemed to shear loose from the spindle/axle. At that point, the spindle would turn but the blade wouldn't blend anything. I ordered another replacement pitcher, and the first time she tried to use it, the blade again sheared loose from the spindle; it did not even successfully make a single smoothie. Returned it and ordered another replacement. This time, first use it rattled horribly; it appears that the whole blade assembly is loose in the glass pitcher, and I'm worried it's going to start spewing glass shards again.I am giving up, and switching to a completely different brand blender. The quality of the Waring brand appears to have been engineered out of the product. 1Ours stopped working. Ordered this replacement. Top acrylic ... Ours stopped working. Ordered this replacement. Top acrylic piece was broken. Informed them that day. 4 days later new one arrives, all is well.So while the product would normally only receive 3 stars as I shouldn't have to replace the actual blender only 2 years after owning the product, the customer service was punctual and professional, no complaints. 4Exact replacement This is an exact replacement for my Waring Commercial Blender that I've had for many years. I just love the blender and it still worked fine, but needed to replace the glass container. I'll treat the new one better--hand wash only, never in the dishwasher. 5Can't live without this blender Love this blender.... My father gave me the original for a birthday present several years ago. After much use and many protein milkshakes (a few margaritas too), the mechanism in the jar became extremely tight....and would freeze up regularly. We tried repairing but taking this thing apart is not for the mechanically challenged. We hesitated spending this much just for the jar portion but the motor portion of the blender was still running like a champ. I bit the bullet and ordered anyway. Since we haven't tried any other blenders in the past 5-6 years and while we were waiting for this jar to arrive, we purchased a few different brands in the $80-$100 range to test them out. What a joke!!! Even though they say they crush ice....THEY DON'T!!! Even the ones with the "ice crusher" mode.....BULL!!! Returned these other blenders quickly and just waited for the waring replacement jar to arrive. Such a difference......will never worry about the price again. It does what it's suppose to.....Thanks, Waring!!! 5Lasted only 5 months before complete failure of the blade ... Lasted only 5 months before complete failure of the blade mechanism. It was only used for smoothies - almond milk, banana, kefir, and protein powder.. It is supposed to be under warranty. However, after two days I have yet to successfully resolve the warranty issues. 1
