Customer Reviews

Really niceThis is really nice quality and razor sharp. I think it's perfect for cutting roses to bring inside and can easily put in the disheasher or wash with soap if you want to control spreading plan disease. 5Best quality. I'll be giving to my brotherBest quality. I'll be giving to my brother, a professional landscaper, for Christmas because he lost his clippers from japan a few years ago and I know he'll like these better than what he has. I've been using these clippers for close to twenty years and there none better. 5These pruners rock!I am a serious gardener. Having the right tool makes any job easier. I've had many different types of pruners and these are the best by far. I initially bought these because I have a small herd of goats whose hooves need regular trimming. I've found that trimmers sold as "hoof trimmers" are basically one-use throwaways. They typically dull after one use and you need to act quickly and surely with a reluctant goat. These pruners are serious business and I recommend them unreservedly. They have maintained their fine edge, whether I'm trimming branches or my goaties' hooves! A sound tool is a thing of great beauty! 5Not for serious workGreat looking. Very good craftman craftsmanship. Lite. Comfortable in the hand. They are not for serious and big work in the orchard. I am engaged in the production of plums whose cuttings require cutting and slightly thicker branches (over 1/2 inch). For one working day, I do even thousands of cuts. So far I have done this work with scissors KUKER art.72 (double CUT). Soke Hidehis scissors attracted me favorable reviews of people who represent themselves as professionals ...The disadvantages are as follows:1. It takes an excessive force to cut the thick branches (2 to 3 times than the model I mentioned, or Felco 30, which I also have).2. After crossing the branch, there is a strong impact that is transferred to the fist and causes pain. - Shock absorber is absolutely necessary.3. I tried to use them in a young plantation, when forming a crown of young trees. For a precise and clean cut, they require putting in an ideal position and angle in relation to the branch, which takes up too much time. Otherwise, it happened that a portion of the bark on the branch remained poorly cut.In the end, the scissors proved to be excellent for bragging among colleagues (samurai steel, no sharpening, excellent sound when cutting ...)I recommend for people who decorate ornamental grass on the garden, 2 or 3 fruit trees behind the house, but not for 24-7 work in a serious fruit plant. 1Can t buy better than this!Beautiful craftsmanship! I bought this for my wife so she could have a set of clippers at least similar to a pair I have that were given to me by my Japanese grandmother 30 years ago. These were just as well made and I was equally impressed and proud to give them as a gift. Stop buying the cheap crap they sell in the chain stores and wasting your money! Buy the last clippers you will ever own! 5The flat grind is perfect, polishing is perfect and the tool is very ...The flat grind is perfect, polishing is perfect and the tool is very sharp. The spring and cutting action is very nice. This is over all a Beautiful tool. It came in a nice decorated cardboard box. In side you have what looks like a warranty card and inspection card(both in Japanese). There is a light weight leather blade cover. 5Not a good value for your money.I have good news and I have bad news regarding these shears. First the good news, they are sharp! Really sharp. I cut the tip of the thumb on a heavy leather work glove. Sliced right through the leather ( missed the thumb) and didn t know it. No hesitation, no pull, just zip, and it was cut. In 40 years of gardening I have never done anything as stupid as that, and never had a pair of shears that sharp. Now the bad news. I couldn t figure out why the manufacturer would invest the time and money to put an almost mirror finish on the blade. The reason is it s much easier to keep clean, and you need to keep it very clean because the clearance between the anvil-blade and the blade is very tight. It s so tight that if you are cutting anything that is going to have sap, dirt, anything that will stick to the blade or anvil, it s going to prevent these shears from opening. In order to keep these shears working properly you are going to have to keep them very clean. Like after every use. 2You can't miss with purchasing these shearsNow on my second gardening season with these shears -- they are surgical-sharp. I've used Felco for years, and had and lost other quality Japanese hand pruners, and these are the best of the lot. I'm able to cut pretty large branches with these. They leave clean cuts. Just be careful to not let them nip you! 5Beautiful product, very different for $5-$10 models you get ...Beautiful product, very different for $5-$10 models you get at the local hardware stores. Ships from Japan so there is some waiting period but its very much worth it. Came in a nice box something akin to jewelry but its certainly not a piece of jewelry. Very solidly built and sharp, cuts with extreme ease. Nice tension. Looks like will last years. At to of the line price wise but I am very happy to have bought it. 5No response from sellerI think the product is visually beautiful. I have a question concerning its performance and a problem. I sent two messages to the seller and have had no response. 2
