    Works as described We had a UV light installed by Culligan. After 1 year, we contacted Culligan to replace the bulb and they want $224. I saw the same bulb they would install here for $95 and bought this one.The first bulb came damaged and did not work. Amazon replaced the bulb and the second is installed and working.Installation of the bulb took literally 2 minutes. Squeeze the tab to take out the assembly, remove old bulb, insert new bulb, put assembly back into the fixture.The bulb has been operational for about a week now, no issues so far.FYI - criminal of Culligan to charge such a huge markup. I don't want to see what they sunk me for on the UV fixture. 5Makes my Well Water safe to drink We buy a new one each year since we have a well and know that whatever comes through the water will go through the UV system and make it safe for us to drink! Cant ask for more than that! 5Great reliable product, works exactly as promised We built an off-grid house 4 1/2 years ago and rely on water from a cistern. Our UV sterilizer is the final stage in a 3-part filtration and sterilization process before the water goes into the house plumbing. We've been using these lamps since the system was installed approximately 5 years ago, and we've never been disappointed. They've all lasted a year (or longer -- we inadvertently had to use one for an extra month past its expected expiration, thanks to a contractor's mistake that made it impossible to swap out the bulb until plumbing was redone, but water quality was not noticeably affected.) I'm quite satisfied with this product and won't hesitate to keep using it. 5Great quality This is the second we have ordered a replacement bulb. Good for 365 days and each has lasted at least that. Well packaged and arrived in perfect condition 5Complete OEM package. Taking the advice of others, I ordered this item by itself not wanting tossed in the box a 40lb bag of dog food. It arrived intact, Sterilight OEM and included the O-rings. Easy-to-understand directions in English and useful pictures made this a no-brainer. If you can read and follow directions there is no reason you can't successfully do this yourself. 5You get what you pay for I have tried several less expensive "replacements" for this UV lamp. Though it is expensive, you know you're getting quality and long-life from this lamp. I've had the cheaper ones burn out or become ineffective, before the 360-day cycle for replacing your UV lamp. 5Rapidly delivered and easy to install The product shipped rapidly with free Amazon shipping. Installation was easy thanks to available "how to" videos on YouTube.Earlier I made arrangements for a local company to come replace the lamp. I had taken the morning off from work to be there for their 7-to-11 service window. They arrived without the bulb and said they had to figure out which system I had (even though their company originally installed it) and then might possibly bring back the bulb later that afternoon (beyond the original service window). On top of that they wanted to charge $100 for the "fact finding" visit and I had to remind them that the guy they sent out last year brought the bulb and got it changed in one short trip. I said "forget it" refused to pay anything and decided to change the stinking bulb myself.So save hundreds of dollars and change your UV light yourself! 5It was poor quality compared to this one I previously purchased a less expensive lamp (not made by Sterilight) for my Sterilight unit from another manufacturer. It was poor quality compared to this one. The connectors on the end were bent and had to be carefully straightened. This lamp was much more solid and was obviousy a higher quality. Do not be fooled by cheap imitations. Buy a true Sterilight and you won't be disappointed. 5Nice product, but arriving in one piece is a dice roll! The product itself works great, provided it arrives in one piece. I've ordered this twice now through Amazon, and both times I had to request a replacement because the lamp arrived broken. Amazon obliged both times with a quick replacement, but it is still a hassle to have to make the return and wait several more days with the UV system alarm beeping constantly. This second one arrived in the same box as a heavy item, both wrapped in their own individual boxes, but that could be why it broke. My suggestion is to order it separately, just in case! 3Order Original Brand To Keep Warranty Works at expected and described from manufacturer. Easy to i install. Do not order a knock-off because it will void your warranty. just an FYI, Amazon will show that the sleeve and O-ring are recommended to be ordered together. I did that, but it turns out I did not need those items. The O-ring came with the replacement lamp AND the Sleeve. So I ended up with 3 O-rings. I plan to keep them, hopefully I will be able to use them at some point. Just save your money. 4
