Don't stand up well to washing/drying Although I didn't check - I assume these were perfectly rectangular when I received them. After washing/drying only one or two times, the edges curled and they lost their shape making them very difficult to neatly fold and store. Would not buy again. 1For What They Are, These Are A Good Value First, let's set some expectations here. These are working kitchen towels designed for hotel and restaurant and other production kitchen use. If you are an interior decorator who has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on the kitchen in a high-end house, designer appliances, up-scale counter tops, custom-made cabinets of exotic woods, a hand-done floor, and all of the best plumbing and electrical fixtures, then what you are now looking for is to complete your picture is not a dish towel but an object decor and these are going to disappoint. If you are planning to spend time and effort and money doing fancy embroidery or toll painting, then what you are looking for is not a dish towel but an artistic canvas and these are going to disappoint. BUT, if you are seeking dish towels to dry your hands, wipe up spills, dry plates, and handle similar tasks in a working kitchen -- be it working in a restaurant or hotel or home -- then these are a good value for the price.Before washing, these measure about 26x15 inches. After one wash cycle in warm water with Tide and a normal 25-minute dryer cycle, they shrunk to about 22 1/2 X 13 1/2 inches.I have purchased five dozen of these so far. I have returned two of the five dozen because the towels in those packs all had one long side unfinished. This is disappointing. But the return process is easy.Anyway, for what they are and for what you pay for them, these things are entirely adequate. 4Excellent quality of kitchen towels Before Christmas 2018 I purchased a 12 pkg of Utopia Kitchen Towels for my home. I have been very satisfied with the product and how well it performs anything I have attempted to do with it. My daughter came to my home over Christmas week with her family. After helping out in the kitchen she remarked how much she liked the new towels I had purchased.After she and her family returned to their home I ordered this 12 pkg of kitchen towels and had them sent to her. She was very happy to receive them and is also delighted with your product. Thanks for the quality of product and the excellent service. 5OVER PRICED PAPER TOWEL I wasn't expecting top quality dish cloths but these are horrible. Completely stiff when they arrived so I gave them a quick wash. They came out completely misshapen and so wrinkled that folding them was difficult. Sorry, I'm not going to iron dish cloths. They aren't even very absorbent. Spend the extra few dollars and get a better quality dish cloth, not this over-priced paper towel. 1A good towel but can be made just a little bit better. I just got these the other day and washed two yesterday to see if there was any validity to some of the claims in some of the reviews. Well, they washed well and nothing frayed. However one did come out uneven in it's dimensions. They are good towels and dry the dishes well leaving absolutely no lint behind. (I wish I would've went for larger towels but that's another issue.) Having been a Dry-cleaner once I know that with steam they can be straighten right out. But who wants to go through that, although that they come out uneven is not a problem at all for me. It's just that I have a few that I bought in the supermarket in New York some 10 years ago and, they are larger and did not change in dimension at all and are still in use today. I know that this is a problem that stems from the weaving of the material and that's a manufacturing issue. It is a good towel and I do recommend them to anyone who just wants a kitchen towel to dry dishes or, wipe the counter. And they do dry well. Plus, they are better than wasting a lot of paper towels. Don't get me wrong; sometimes paper towels are better because depending on what it is, you wipe and throw away. But, that's not always the case. In short, they work well and are a plus in any kitchen. 4Great for the kitchen I like these because I they can be washed and they are durable and not too expensive. My wife doesn't like them because they are not fluffy (but she doesn't do much of the cooking). The Real reason I switched is that I can have enough on hand and change them every day and once a week do just a load of kitchen towels - Let's face it - you need to wash kitchen towels with Bleach and in hot water to kill any germs or bacteria and you should not wash them with your bath towels. I am very practical and that is where the 5 stars comes in - Price , Quality and usability these are a winner . I also have two colors - Red Stripe for hands , Blue for Dishes - I am thinking about buying more and using them for napkins as well - yes they are good enough for every day napkins and better for our planet (wow did I just say that) 5Cut Crooked I should have looked more closely at these before I washed them. Almost all of them are cut crooked, and some are severely so! A few of them have frayed seams after one wash, and a couple have random lines of pink on them. They are soft, and did not shrink much. Will make good rag/cleaning towels.*Updating my review to add the customer service for this company was wonderful! They offered to replace or refund the item, even after I washed them. They responded to emails quickly, and were very polite. Also, they did not ask me to update or remove my review, which I appreciate. 4I was impressed! These are simply wonderful little towels at a great price. In fact, I love these so much and consider them such a great deal, that I've now purchased them twice. These get used in the kitchen, down at the barn, while working on the tractor, cleaning the bathroom... there's no end of uses for these tough little towels. They're made very well so at this price point, I truly doubt you'll find better in a local store. My father was helping me out in the yard one day and asked for a rag to clean the oil off of his hands with, I handed him one of my Utopia towels and he almost refused to use it. He thought it was too nice for a shop rag and maybe it is, but it works great! Yup, probably getting him a set too. a nice, hardy set of hand towels is more of a necessity than a convenience in my opinion. 5Definitely worth the price..... I really do like these a lot. They work well for drying dishes, and cleaning house purposes. The weave is tight enough - not the real loose type that absorb nothing. They wash up great and me.....I like ironing them - but if a person takes them out of the dryer before they're completely dry they probably won't need ironing.They lose a star because there is not one straight sewn hem in the bunch. Every hem is crooked. I like them so well.....I bought a second set after I saw how well the first set has worked out.Recommended......but like I said crooked hems. Thank you. 4Never buying paper towels, napkins, or tissues again! One of my first attempts to reduce my waste was making the decision to stop buying paper towels and napkins. I decided to go old school and invest in a nice big set of dish towels that were high quality enough to tackle my occasional big spill but also good looking enough for me to want to proudly display them not only by my sink but also on my dining table. So glad I found these because they are everything I was looking for and more.These dish towels are super soft yet absorbent enough to handle bigger messes. They wrinkle pretty easily but I found that shaking them out a bit one by one before tossing them into the dryer minimizes that by a lot. Air drying completely eliminates all wrinkling so if you're down to air dry, your dish cloths will look prettier and the planet will thank you for using less water and power. Now that it's nicer out I've been rack drying them on my apartment roof and have found that even though it's still a little cool out, they dry completely in around an hour.I love that since purchasing these I haven't once felt the need to buy paper towels or napkins. I thought the transition would take some getting used to but the switch was mindblowingly easy. I keep a small top closing waste basket under my sink to toss dirty cloths into and just dump it out into the laundry when I'm ready - it actually makes me a little bit upset and embarrassed that forever ago I could have made this effortless change that, in the long run, will have an actual positive impact on the world and my wallet.For big messes I'll quickly rinse the cloth off, wring it out, and throw it in the bin right away but if I'm just using it to dry my hands or to keep in my lap when it's just me eating, I'll use the same cloth throughout the day before tossing it in. This 12 pack is perfect for me because I've found that it's the exact amount of cloths that I need in one week so I can easily just toss these in with the rest of my stuff on laundry day.I had a cold recently and decided to see if these are soft enough to use on runny noses and am happy to say that I can give these the Sensitive Skin Stamp of Approval. I'm glad I did that little experiment and will definitely be purchasing a second pack of these to keep in my bathroom once I finish up my last tissue box! They're much bigger than the average hankie and I'm still on the hunt for a more portable option but for at-home nose blowing, these will definitely do the trick.Whether you're just looking for something to replace the old single dish towel hanging on your oven door or if you're trying to cut out buying disposable paper products, these dish towels are definitely for you. 5
