Kitchen Must-HaveIt's the little things in life! Love making a quick chopped array of squash, zucchini, carrots, whatever to throw into pasta - then use the samedevice to shred some cheese and zest a little lemon. Convinced? 5which isn't a bad thing. It grates cheese wellIt's bigger than I expected, which isn't a bad thing. It grates cheese well, which is all I've used it for so far. Being large it was easy to clean by hand.The black piece around the bottom fell off the first time I used it, and no longer fits right-it just keeps falling off, so I threw it away. It doesn't feel like it'll last long, maybe im a little 'rough' with things but I expect more out of metal products. 2Lots of optionsThis is a wonderful cheese-grater for the price. I love all the various options for grating cheese and slicing veggies. Before purchasing this one, I went to my local stores (Bed, Bath, and Beyond, Target, Home Goods) and none of them had as many grating/shredding/slicing options. It is easy to clean and I have put it in the dishwasher (on the top rack). 5Best Grater/slicersThere are all sorts of Grater/slicers around for all sorts of cost. Let me say this is the best especially for the price of $8.50. I would say this would be worth easily $20. It is a large Grater/slicers. I've grated 6 different types of chesses from hard to soft. 5No Greater GraterI bought this for my wife who was needing a replacement for the one she had. It will grate about anything you need and some thing you don't...like a knuckle perhaps.We haven't tried to put this thing through any torture tests like trying to shave the edge of a piece of drywall that is a touch too big, although I don't doubt it's ability to handle such a task.I'm the end, it is just a cheese grater, plain and simple. No bells or whistles needed. 5Rubber bottom doesn't stay onThe rubber bottom which is supposed to make it non slip doesn't stay on, totally defeating the purpose. When this was delivered to me, the bottom was already just sitting over the grater. I almost threw it away not realizing what it was when my boyfriend stopped me after he saw the picture of the grater. He tried to reconnect it. It did fit but not snug, so while you're using it you must press down hard enough that it doesn't slip off. I will keep it and keep using because I do still love that it has all the different grating options as well as the good price. 4Not horrible, but I would not buy again.This slicer/grater works OK. I was very excited to get this in after all of the great reviews. First thing I noticed was there was some blue plastic still stuck in the folds and bends of the metal. Like the plastic sheet you peel off of a new product but just little pieces were stuck. I was unable to get them off and they are still just kind of hanging there.The product works fine as a cheese shredder. However the two slicing blades, the flat one and the crinkle cut one, do not work well. The metal of this item is a very thin so when you are pressing an item against the slicing blade it pushes in and you end up with uneven but paper thin slices. Which makes those two blades unusable.So I will continue to keep this in my cabinet and use it to shred cheese, it seems like a fair price for a cheese shredder. However it does take up a lot of space to just be used for that. Because of the thickness I'm not sure how long it will last and the fact that there's still plastic sheet stuck in the folds, I imagine I won't have this very long. 2Best grater available. Great for gift giving.I haven't been this excited about a kitchen tool in a very long time.My original search for a sturdy, hand held "box" type. Something stable enough to keep me from grating my knuckles. This looked like it would do the trick, the price was right, so I ordered it.Whomever designed this was a kitchen wizard. Not only can I grate cheese in three different styles, I can also cut veggies and finely grate a wide range of edibles.They used to say that if you want to be innovative and make lots of $$$, build a better mouse trap. This truly is the best grater on the market.I especially like the sturdy handle and "rubber" gasket on the bottom. No matter how hard I grated, this baby stayed where it was. No movement whatsoever.This is going to be my go-to wedding gift. Every household needs one of these. It can easily replace several of the gadget in my drawer. This is a good thing. 5If I could give no stars..I WOULD!!!This is horrible. I received an item that is used. I just picked it up from the locker location. Additionally, the handle is broken and it has food residue on it. Are you kidding me? I want a refund ASAP. The plastic was also already opened unbelievable!!! 1Made in China CRAPVery disappointed. I saw a response to a question saying that this was Made in Germany. Oh boy...finally, some quality kitchen products, but unfortunately, when it arrived...flimsy, not very substantial...made in China garbage. I would NOT recommend buying this. I will recommend that Amazon post the country where something is made. I've purchased other kitchen items I thought were made in the USA, Germany, France or Italy...on to have the package arrive and see made in China. Made in China garbage belongs in a dollar store, not here on Amazon, unless the product is well made. This product is NOT! 1
