Totally unnecessary sticky adhesive on glass!I have purchased two of these in the last two weeks. I am very happy with the quality and appearance, and would have nothing negative whatsoever to say if it weren't for the horrible sticky film that is on the inside of the glass. This is extremely sticky adhesive used to stick the model photo to the inside of the glass...I have tried and tried with no success to remove it. It's totally unnecessary to have on there since no one will be framing that paper, and the sticky stuff doesn't come off. There are two options. Cover the sticky stuff with paper and put your photo in over it so it won't stick and be ruined, or reverse your glass so that the sticky stuff is facing outward (and you still have to cover it so it doesn't damage the walls). It's so obnoxious that they have taken what would be an outstanding product, and ruined it with that adhesive. 3Love these framesI love these frames, and use several of them with art prints and photographs. They are easy to use, clean and modern in style, and blend in with any decor. I find that I especially like them when they are hung on accent walls, as the wall itself then acts like a mat, but with more dimension. I will continue to use these in my framing exploits in the future. 5Absolute nightmare to assemble, but yes, they look great...These frames are beautiful... if you can actually get them to work. The design is absolutely terrible, as the two sheets of glass come stuck together, and you need Goo Gone to get the glue off. I bought four of these, and I shattered the glass on one of them trying to get it open. The other three frames I was able to get to work, but the whole ordeal took me over two hours and I was about ready to punch a hole in the wall by the time I was done. If you can muster up the courage to go through hell and back to set one of these bastards up, they look phenomenal on the wall. But I would recommend looking around for another brand that doesn't have the same issue, with hundreds of reviews similar to this one... I'm glad I finally got 3 out of 4 of mine to work, but I would never buy these again. 3Sleek and simple presentation allows for any artwork to look goodIt's got a simple sleek black border and everything inside the border is glass. It fits A4, letter and some larger pages too. I use 9x12.5 inch paper and it fits very nicely. It works by pressing two glass panels together and securing it in the back. There is snug-fitting pressure on the sides of the rear removable panel, which for one of my frames is not a problem at all, but for the other one it takes a couple minutes to shake it loose. Eh, whatever. I like it. I paid $14.25 for two. 5 stars. 5They were hard to remove- those screws were pretty tight on thereI bought these to display some botanical prints in my dining room. I didn't want to spend a lot of money, but I knew I wanted floating frames. I had to remove the hanger from the sides to make it sit on the wall vertically correctly. They were hard to remove- those screws were pretty tight on there. But now I have my framed botanical prints and my dining room looks great. 5Awesome diploma frame!The frame worked amazing for our college diplomas and they look perfect! Very durable and classy! The floating affect is great but I do suggest taping the back of the picture because the frame doesn't hold the picture/document tight enough to hold it up. I put a couple rolls of tape on the back of the document and it works great now! 5... and ended up purchasing another because it did just fine. GrantedI purchased one to see how it would work for displaying a 150-page magazine and ended up purchasing another because it did just fine. Granted, the grooves on the back portion didn't fit properly into the frame with that thick of a magazine in there, but turning that back part around so that the grooved side faced outward seemed to work well and I was able to latch it closed with no problems. Even with the back switched around, the frame sits nice and flat against the wall. 5Nice looking frameNice looking frame. very good packaging. Thin glass-beware.Don't buy because you cant get the Umbrian certificate off easily-it is taped on and it is very difficult to remove the residue.There is also a glued on tab on the other side of the same pane. I bought this frame because of the two sided view so I could show a certificate of authenticity on the reverse of the display photo. The tab is not a hanger I think it might be for separating the panes. Removing that leaves a tough residue.Not worth buying unless you do not value your time or what you want to frame.Amazon should allow a zero star rating. 1Excellent Product for the Price!!!I needed a couple of floating frames for two Egyptian parchments that I bought while traveling. After reading many reviews, I decided to go with these Umbra Frames and to my surprise, it is an excellent product for its price. Photos have been attached to facilitate your understanding of this description. It has basically three pieces (Pic1), the Outer frame with a non removable glass, an inner frame and a secondary glass that is removable. The removable inner frame is supported by clips and once in place, "sandwiches" whatever picture, painting or in my case, the parchments between both glasses. The frame can be used vertically or horizontally. When used vertically it hangs from one hook. Horizontally, it hangs from two hooks which I didn't like and simply removed both with a screwdriver and placed a single one in the center (Pic2). Pics 3 & 4 show how your new frame will look in both; horizontal and vertical positions. They are easy to open and will make changing artwork a piece of cake.The quality is great!The price is great!They offer a value twin pack, I suggest buying it!The look is high end.They are easy to use.I used 3M Velcro style strips to make it even easier to move the frames, should I choose to change the sequence of her artwork.This is my first official review on Amazon, way to go Umbra, we ll done! 5
