    Can't Live Without It This is the Japanese version of the American product at a significant discount. The only difference between the two products is that this one comes with instructions in Japanese. I found the instructions in English online at the Toto website so good to go.First let me say that this is a great personal hygiene product. The water reservoir is large enough to provide adequate cleansing in one fill. Do not listen to reviews that complain about the reservoir size. Nonsense. The product fills easily, has two settings for stream strength, and is easy to use. I prefer the stronger setting as I find it results in the best cleansing. The device is sleek with clean lines and feels well built in the hand. I now take the travel washlet with me everywhere I go and can not imagine going back to the days before having it. I keep it in my brief case as it is pretty small but definitely not pocket size. Nothing beats the travel washlet for hygiene on the go. This product is highly recommended for anyone who feels toilet paper does not adequately get the job done. The washlet is a bit on the expensive side but I would pay it again in a heart beat knowing what I do now.UPDATE:2 years later this device is as good as the day I bought it. 5English Instructions Since 2008, I've used one daily at home or while traveling and especially camping, only having to change the battery as needed. Just recently I purchased this one for backup. Other than the color (white instead of pink) and the non-English instructions, this is identical to my original one. I still have my original English instructions and took pictures, hoping they help those who might want specific information. This is my first time adding photos to a review, so if they don't work well, I welcome instructions I can follow to improve them.Edited: I've reduced my original 5-star rating, as the "button" failure issue (other reviews have reported) within too short of a time, happened to this one. I'm disappointed, as my first one lasted (with daily use) almost 8 years. Guess "they don't make them like they used to"!! 3Fantastic Travel Bidet! I have home bidets so I was prepared to have a mere shadow of the bidet experience with this device. Boy, was I ever surprised! It really does a very good job. A single canister of water gets things taken care of in 90% of the cases. I can add warm or cold water, have a steady stream, or manually pulse the stream. I am mobility-impaired and this makes all the difference when traveling. I know I can ensure that everything is nice and clean after the ''paperwork; is done. I think it could be used without paper as well. KUDOS to TOTO for this wonderful device. Now I can travel in confidence and the washlet is very discreet. 5Awesome and FUN (read more below ;-) Besides working exceptionally well (I just replaced my original 2014 purchase), this attracts TSA's attention at airport security screenings. Apparently, the fact that it has a battery and a container has them thinking it's a container for something more explosive than water. I've had some fun conversations with TSA agents who pull it out from my bag, apparently elated thinking they've found some contraband. "What do we have here?" asked one agent, pulling the bidet out of my carry-on. I replied dryly: "It's a travel bidet." Uninformed, he continued: "What's a bidet??". My response: "It's a portable *butt shower*". The agent's reaction was fun to observe.. he quickly stuffed the device back into my bag and shoved the bag back to me without saying a word. :D :D :DHighly recommended!! :-) 5Doesn't quite do it for me. Following a surgery, my "terrain down there" is not what it used to be, and a good bidet is the only thing I have found to be able to get myself totally clean. I needed something that I can take with me. I tried two different models of the plastic squeeze bottle types of travel bidets, but they could not deliver enough pressure. Unfortunately, the TOTO did not do it for me either. Yes, I realize that a travel bidet will never give you enough water, or the same amount of pressure that an actual bidet will or can do, but after reading all of the positive reviews on here, I had to give it a try. My first use, I used three tanks of water at the high pressure setting, and was still coming up soiled when wiping dry after use. 3Great product, does not replace easy wipe tool What I wish I had seen in a review before buying is probably an uncommon use. Nonetheless... if you're a large or disabled person requiring an "easy wipe" tool - you know what that is if you're in those shoes!! - this is not a replacement. Not even close. The idea and execution are splendid, I may even keep this to freshen up when traveling without a handheld shower sprayer. However, if you need a deep, car wash clean, no. This is more like your windshield wash sprayer. I tried a ridiculous amount of maneuvering and between the large posterior and busted back I come equipped with it was futile. 4Leaks Just a Few Months After Purchase My initial review of this item had been five stars but it began to leak a lot of water onto the floor with each use three months after I bought it so I've dropped my rating to one star. Other users have reported this issue as well. It leaks from the body of the unit. I have owned several Toto portable bidets and have been very happy with the functionality and durability of them but this one is absolute junk. :( My other Toto units lasted 6 to 8 years of multiple daily uses. That's impressive but with this unit I may as well have flushed $70 down the toilet. :( 1Sounds bizarre, but it feels soooo good and works! (Buy the Japanese version to save $30) I bought this in a whim. I started looking at the washlet sprinklers for your rear and someone mentioned they wish they could bring it with them. Then I looked for a portable one and I found it! I saw a review that said buy the the Japanese SKU version and save $30. So I did. Crazy gadget but I think it really works. It's a mini hose for your tush and it feels well ... really good! Just fill with warm water before you sit on the throne and look forward to a mini spa treatment where the sun don't shine. It even came with a carry case, battery and instructions in Japanese. But since it only has one button and a slider for a little more water (5 holes) or less -- they claim 3 holes is a stronger stream, but to me its all the same. I recommend it even after two uses. 5Amazing Product!! but I'm not going to tell anyone about it. Great little device! I use it at home. While initially hesitant to use them, I got spoiled to the Washlet toilets while living in Japan and missed that clean feeling. I would like too take it to work but it does make noise and I would hate for anyone to see me walk out of a stall and wonder what I had been using in there and for what purpose. I am torn about whether to give this 4 or 5 starts. It is unique but the reasons I don't give it 5 are, it is a bit pricey, I worry I will break of the stem as some point if I am not careful and that advertising says clean with warm water giving the impression that it heats the water rather than you filling it with warm water. All in all, I would recommend this product 100%. If I weren't so embarrassed to do so, I would tell all my friend to get one. They don't know what they have been missing. 4DOROTHY COULDN'T LIVE WITHOUT HER TOTO AND NEITHER CAN I!! No Dorothy, there's no place like home but this awesome TOTO washlet let's you feel as fresh as if you were at home! Yes, I wish this were less expensive. But buy one of the cheaper ones and the second you touch it, you will know why TOTO is the master of takin' care of business! I have very bad hemorrhoids and I must be squeaky clean. I don't have an outlet near my toilet so I was not able to get the bidet toilet seat I dream about. I always have two TOTO travel washlets so I can use them in my home and when traveling. Despite having only one battery, the washlet has better power than the ViVi I that was my intro into travel bidets. I have MS and this is easier for my hand to manage and I never have to refill it. I use it front and back. The only reason I left off the 5th star is because I wish they would design it to fill from the side (like the ViVi) instead of the top so you don't have to constantly close the sprayer in order to fill it up. You'll see what I mean when you get it, but trust me, that is a minor inconvenience compared to all the positive aspects this little guy brings to your potty experience. 4
