The carbide has been sourced out and is inferior quality. Both pairs didn't last a year. 1Five StarsAll perfect 5My Professional Tile Nippers (Superior #80) fell apart and Won't Cut TileI bought these to cut plates for mosaic. A piece fell off one of the blades. The blades won't even close enough to cut anything. Maybe I didn't understand what these were made to cut. It says "Tile Cutter" but it won't close far enough to cut tile - stays too far open. These weren't cheap and I don't have the box or know how to return them. Very unhappy and I will now go IN PERSON to HOME DEPOT to get something that will actually CUT TILES, or in this case china, stoneware and ceramic. 1Carbide tip is junkThese are not worth buying.Carbide tip has broken off one set and the other set fell off.I have had these before with no problem but the new ones are a waste of money. 1One StarThis is second pair that tip broke off.
