Customer Reviews

Worked great. Purchased to torque the barrel nut from a Diamondhead VRS-T handguard. Worked great. 5For large bolts in tight places. Requires socket wrench driver. Used to change faucets on my bathtub from the room BELOW the bathtub. Impossible to reach without the crowfoot unless you are a monkey. Saved me from having to rip off tile and replace it. In the end, though, I wish I had just purchased a new tub and paid to have the bathroom updated. By the time you need a jumbo crowfoot, perhaps you are taking on too difficult a project. [Inexperienced house renovator]. Fits a 1/2" socket drive. I recommend a l-o-n-g extension for plumbing repairs (sold separately). 5Won't fit Parallax Tactical Barrel Nut FYI It is what it is. Looks to be good quality for the price. It isn't a Snap On, but if it fits your needs; it should work. For those looking for a Wrench for the Parallax Tactical Barrel Nut. It is simply too wide and will not work. 5Cheap non-hardend steel. 0 stars This crow's foot is trash. I ordered this for the one off job of tightening a barrel nut. First, when I got it out of the package it did not fit. I had to place the wrench in a vise and file one of the flats down so that I could even fit it on the barrel nut. Second, the torque spec for the nut is 30 - 80 ft-lbs. I needed to go to the high end of the spec to get proper alignment. I got to ~60 ft-lbs and the crow's foot bent out of shape. It didn't snap it bent! Obviously this isn't a hardened steel or forged tool at all. A crow's foot this size should easily take 60 ft-lbs. Instead my 1 3/8" crows foot is more like a 1 1/2" crow's foot. I wish I could figure out how to give this tool 0 stars. Do yourself a favor, spend the few extra bucks and get a brand name, American made tool. That way you can use it torque something down more than finger tight. 1get a higher end one It might be ok for something super light duty, however if you need to torque down something even a little it is useless. the overall fit and finish would be great for the price if it were not out of spec. I got the 1.25'' however when attempting to torque the bolt to 80ft/lbs it would begin to slip at around 10-15 ft/lbs. The wrench is simply too wide to hold. Im not quite sure how it has as high of a rating as it does, as looking at the reviews, a LOT of people are having issues with these being too out of spec to be super useful. Like I said, if its all you can afford, and you just need to snug up something, then it might work fine, but other than that I would look elsewhere. 1Did the trick for a specialty task I ran into a problem where I needed to turn a 1-3/4" hex object and utilize a torque wrench. How often do you need that? I did have to buy a 1/2" to 3/8" adapter for the torque wrench. It worked perfectly. The unit seems very nicely machined and finished, but I cannot speak to how it might hold up if manhandled every day. The price was great considering this is such a specialty item. 5You get what you pay for Purchased this item to work on a 1 3/16 barrel nut.Wrench is marked 1 3/16. It fits loosely on the barrel nut. Probably good enough to install the nut but not close enough for heavy use.Checked the wrench with a micrometer. Keep in mind that 1 3/16 is 1.1875 inches. Wrench measures 1.204 inches. .0165 oversize isn't even close to reasonable tolerance.A check of other wrenches (Older USA made Craftsman and some from Taiwan) in my tool box showed them to average .01 oversize.Edited on 11/7 to fix math error 3Good tool. Special size didnt break the bank Update 3/1/19I carefully removed 3/16" of width at the claw using a cutoff wheel. Still works and able to now fit it in the tighter spaces and use my torque wrench. I havent tried to torque past 40 ft/lbs so keep that in mind if you modify the tool. This tool still exceeds my expectations.ORIGINAL review... i use this for my barrel nut on a AR wish it were a bit narrower though. 1/2 opening fit all my ratchets, bars, and extensions. Good quality 5If you're getting this for a barrel nut, its too thick I don't know why the hell some of these uppers are coming with barrel nuts in this odd size. I needed this one for an upper I got from Ceratac. At their prices, I had to check it out. Seems like any other crows foot wrench in this size is like 40 bucks or more. This one is the way to go (for this use-case) except its too thick to fit in the nut cutout. I had to grind off about 1/8 inch of thickness to make it work, but it did work great. And if you need it for something different than what I did, I'm sure you'll have no complaints. 4does the job and it's cheap but it's way to heavy It does the job but at 5/8" of an inch thick weights 3/4 of a pound it's heavy and clunky. I purchased this to attach an Odin Works 308 Handguard using Brownells 308 barrel rod. Yes it works but I had to grind the sides flat otherwise it kept rotating or falling out of the bench vise.It does the job and it's cheap but if you going to use this everyday I would find something else thinner and lighter. 3
