Customer Reviews

Great for the money I have tried several low flow heads, while they all save water and electricity(less hot water) some have better spray patterns. This one has a nice straight pattern, it doesn't spray the wall and the shower door together as some do. It came with some teflon tape to put on the threads, and its all plastic, I would rather have one with metal for the connection, as I really like to tighten them down so they won't spin loose as you move the head. If you tighten the plastic that tight, it will split, so be careful. It also has a screen to catch any bigger items such as sand or pieces of rust if you have old metal pipes, this will keep the shower head from becoming clogged, but if you do have these issues, you would have to remove the shower head to clean the screen, just like in your sink or washing machine. If you have a well and pvc pipe, and get sand in your faucets, do yourself a BIG FAVOR, put a whole house filter inline. I know higher quality heads are out there, but you also pay 10x the price or more and they do the same thing. I ordered several of these to put in my house, parents, and friends. They all were pleased. It did solve a problem at the girlfriends house, before changing heads, after 1 person took a shower, you would have to wait 30 minutes for another, now 2 can take a shower without waiting. So I know we are saving a lot on the water and electric bill. She has medium length hair and says she has no problems rinsing out shampoo. 5Looks very nice and works very well I really like this shower head. Plumber's tape was included so the fit is nice and tight. The spray is so even and it has more than enough force to satisfy me. We live in the country - no city water supply, just the cisterns and our well, so conserving water is pretty important. This head gives me a great shower without using a lot of water. Plus I like the look of it - to me, it's a softer, warmer look than a shiny silver metal thing hanging over my wet self. For what it's worth, I highly recommend it. 5Very pleased for the price I'm glad I got one of these before they went unavailable. I couldn't ask for a better showerhead for what I paid for it, and it's got the easy clean nozzles that I like. The packaging on this unit is very eco friendly, and installation was easy peasy once I got the old showerhead removed. The shower radius is small, but no smaller than what it was replacing so no loss there. It was going into a small shower anyway. It's not very maneuverable either, but since the small radius doesn't require that it be aimed at the inside wall, that isn't a problem. We have high water pressure in this place to begin with, so I haven't had any problems with weak pressure from this showerhead. I can't speak for how it would perform in a shower with naturally low pressure though. One particularly awesome thing about it is that, thanks to the super low flow, it really does make the hot water last longer. We now have a much smaller tank than we did before, so that is a huge plus. It also has cut down on the water bill, not significantly, as the other appliances are not water savers (yet) but it is measurable. 5Give it a try. It is nice. This shower head is a great buy. I wanted to try out a low flow shower head to save on our hot water heating. Lots of people complain that low flow shower heads provide a terrible shower experience. My wife was reluctant to try this new shower head since our old shower was pretty nice. I figured for a few bucks I would give it a try for the summer when having a full flow hot shower isn't as important as in the winter. Our shower head is mounted much higher than most peoples, 7ft, so that might change our experience but we think it is great. It was easy to install and it is easy to clean. The spray is not that piercing needle spray that some shower heads have. I would say it has a nice normal shower spray just not in a huge pattern. For the price you should give this a try. I know there are $40 dollar low flow heads that claim to be amazing but this one is all that I need. 5Happy and upped from 4 to 5 star I bought this is April 2013. It is working great and at the time was the lowest flow I could find. I'm not sure if I could go lower and still have the water trip the flow sensor in the on-demand water heater. I have had to rub the rubber nozzles(that sounds funny)a couple times to clear them out but that is a problem with the well water, not the shower head, but it shows me the nozzles do clear as it said they would. Very satisfied. 5Best one (so far) Bought, used, and compared four 1.5 GPM shower heads and this New Resource Group (NRG) Economy Super Spray head is by far the best one. The other three tried: Niagara N2615, Delta Model#: 52653-BG, and High Sierra shower head with wand (expensive). Hard to believe this is NRG unit is low flow, but it's flow rate is indeed 1.5 GPM. I suspect it will couple years before the nozzles have to cleaned (which it is designed for), it's a great shower and a low cost. The second best is the Delta unit for it's non-clogging design and gentle yet ample feeling spray (also hard to believe this one is low flow). The Niagara and High Sierra feel aggressive and the water drops hit the skin with such velocity that it makes a big mess. The High Sierra has the best quality and is unlikely to clog over time; however, it cost several times more than the other shower heads and the spray pattern is harsh. 5For $5 - it pays for itself First, I have to say that you have to set the bar correctly when it comes to ultra low flow devices. If you expect this or any low flow device to compare with a 3 gallon per minute (gpm) pour water on your head shower then move along. It uses 1/2 the water, set your expectations correctly and you will be happy. With that said, I live in California and we're on the edge of having to truck water in this summer, so ultra low flow is a necessity. I've been using this shower head in our downstairs bath for several weeks now and it fits the need. For just $5 each, I purchased two so I can have a spare if one breaks. The low flow nearest shower head at the big box store cost twice as much and used 2.2 gpm of water. It puts out a good spray, enough to rinse off the soap fully. The water usage is almost 1/2 of what we used to take and that means the hot water lasts longer (an added benefit) So the last one to shower in the morning no longer has a cold awakening !I recommend this for anyone wanting to cut their water usage in 1/2 and that they have the right expectation for what a low-flow device can and cannot do. 5The little shower head that could! We moved into a rental house and found that the shower heads were not just old-school, but were flowing at +6 gallons every 30 seconds (+12 gallons a minute)!! Not only was this a huge waste of water, but the power of the stream felt like it was peeling off layers of skin. The water is also "hard" such that minerals build up on faucets and in the water heater. We replaced the high-flow shower heads with these $5 shower heads. The build:This shower head is relatively small: the face of it being no larger than the palm of a smaller hand. They are made of hard plastic and silicon. The package comes with a small roll of teflon tape. The instructions warn against over-tightening, so instead of using a wrench, I hand tightened them. The silicon nozzles are very easy to clean - after 2 months of use a few of the nozzles started spray in odd directions (the tell-tale sign that a bit of detritus is in there). Just a quick swipe of my fingers across the flexible nozzles opened them back up to original working condition. How they work:In a word: Wonderfully!! I did measure the output at around 1.5 gallons a minute using a bucket for 30 seconds. No, it won't peel the skin from your bones, but it provides enough pressure for my wife to wash the shampoo from her hair. She also noted that she doesn't feel as guilty spending a few more moments in the shower b/c of the low-flow rate.I would recommend these. They're easy to install, come with all of the materials, are easy to clean/clear, and provide enough oomph to make my wife happy. 5The 1 year shower head I purchased this shower head in April 2013 for my girls' shower, as they were constantly depleting all of our hot water! Using this shower head enabled all three of us to take our morning shower comfortably without running out, so I absolutely loved it.Unfortunately, this morning--just a few days over one year from installation--I heard my daughter calling for me and walked in to find the bathroom flooded and water spraying everywhere from the shower head! Upon looking at it, the gray ring had separated from the white piece.So...I'm giving it two stars because it's SO inexpensive and did a great job for a year, but wow, when it failed it really failed! 2Best low-flow shower head I've ever had I bought this a little over two years ago, specifically to attempt to reduce my utility bills, and I can' be more pleased with it. It has a better water pattern than any of the other shower heads that I had tried, and although it is noticeably less water, the pattern of the shower head nozzles makes up for it. I can't say that is causing any difficulties rinsing off or any other problems that I've had with other low-flow shower heads.I'm all electric and on a well with 60PSI of water pressure, If I had to estimate, I'd guess that it cut my electric bill by at least $10/month cause my water heater turns off (completely caught up) within a couple minutes of turning the shower off, my water heater used to take upwards of 20 minutes to catch up after a shower was done. Added bonus, if I do decide to take a nice long hot shower, I never run out of hot water!Only one complaint, the screen on the inlet needs to be cleaned out about once every three months, it catches all kinds of sediment and you'll start noticing restricted water flow, since this thing is already low-flow, reducing the water flow even more will be aggravating. Easily resolved in about 2 minutes, take it off, clean it off in the sink and put it back on, good to go for another three months. 5
