    These Sloggers solved a problem for us.We are an older couple and we live on a farm. The high topped overshoes work okay, but have become an ordeal to get in and get out of. My husband tried wearing several different brands of loafers out here and kept having them fall apart on him after being used for everyday farm work for not a very long period of time. So I suggested Sloggers because I purchased me a woman's pair several years ago and am still wearing them. Well, he loves his Sloggers now. He rinsed something out using a garden hose and was surprised to realize he was standing in water. Sloggers are the right shoe for where we live and work. I recommend them to anyone needing durability in a shoe. 5Very comfortable!These are very comfortable. I normally wear a size 13, but only a 12 was available. It worked out these fit very well. Durable enough to use tools with shovels and the like. I have only wore them without socks. They do tend to make a fart noise, but maybe they would not with socks. I have not experienced them rolling around my foot at all on hills or slopes. I have only wore them in the early morning or rain when it is cooler. So I have no idea if they will be too hot in warmer situations. They are black but if looked at closely you will see a leopard print to them, but barely noticeable. I do weigh 290 lbs. If they are not well constructed they may not last me very long and I will update the review. As for now I am very satisfied with these. 5The insoles they recommend for $9So far have only worn them inside the house as I'm not sure if I will keep them. Ordered a size 12 as I typically wear an 11 1/2 in most shoes but 11 in some slip-ons and most comments state to order at least a half size larger. The shoe length seems OK, but the collar seems loose on me as maybe I have a thin foot. The insoles they recommend for $9.99 to make the shoes fit 1/2 size smaller won't work as they only go up to a size 10. Seems that if a person has a wide food these might be great, but for a normal to narrow foot they may fit sloppily. All that said, the sole seems great - very sturdy and has a good tread. Probably will keep them, but if returns were free I might try one size smaller. 3Don't Order From Gatzies If There's A Chance You Could Return The Item For a Fit IssueThese shoes are fine if you don't mind plain. However, they were very difficult to get on my D width feet with very high arches. Once on, they cut into the tops of my feet. I returned them because I don't expect the shoes to loosen with break in. They're rubber.Gatzies, the vendor, says they're going to gouge me for a 20% restocking fee on top of the $5.61 - I think it was - for return shipping that they said they'd deduct from my return credit. 20% to restock a pair of shoes? Give me a break! When I asked for one, Gatzies ignored my request. Net, don't buy from Gatzies unless there's no chance of a fit-related return. 1Great for a rainy day.I've been looking for a shoe to wear to the office on rainy (or mildly snowy) days. Something with a basic look that isn't a full on rain boot. Something I can wear with chinos that doesn't draw attention to itself. These fit the bill perfectly. Just a plain brown shoe that keeps my feet dry. And they are surprisingly comfortable. I was a little hesitant at first to purchase these, as I walk 1.5 miles to and from work, and other reviewers didn't think these were appropriate walking long distances. I've had no problem in that regard, and I'm pretty picky when it comes to the comfort of shoes. 5well mademade in the USA by a long time company...this always feels good to purchase American made products. Purchased for my husband who wanted a pair of water proof shoes to go out to the yard in cold weather. He sometimes wears a size 12 but other times a size 13. The size 12 was what was available. Took the chance and they fit him fine! The sides and top are cut a little higher on the foot than some other brands and styles I had seen so his foot will stay a little warmer and a little drier. 4I live on a ranch. Trust me "it" is mighty deep here.Perfect fit, comfortable and easy on, easy off.Our grass is deep and often wet with dew each morning. I've found these are wonderful shoes for walking in wet clay soils, animal droppings (I try my best to avoid that, but as the bumper sticker said....)The shoes somehow seem to breath unlike my old pair of rubber shoes I had and these offer better traction for me on both slick and dry conditions. I've stepped in spilled diesel fuel and these protected my feet and never lost traction in any kind of fluid so far. 5Keeps feet dry and dirt-freeFirst I bought women's Sloggers for myself to use in the garden (LOVE them). Then my husband started nagging me that he needs a pair for himself to walk our three dogs in the mornings.He needed something to keep his feet dry in case he had to walk them in the rain or if the grass was wet and something that he could put on without an effort (I suggested he used rain boots, but he said it takes him forever to put them on and take them off; I guess he has weird feet).These Sloggers were exactly what he wanted. Great shoes for a great price! 5Great shoes!Update: one pair has split down the middle of the heel on one shoe. I will try to add a picture. Emailed the company s customer support, with supposed 24 hour response. Nothing! Called twice, left voice mails as no one live seems to answer in customer support. Still no answer after five days. So one pair is shot. Great shoes but lousy support!The others are hanging in but the customer support seems to suck!Love these shoes! I now have 3 pair. Wore a pair back east on a trip last spring where I hiked a little in them, went out in them (black ones), just about lived in them! They are very good at keeping my feet dry in low damp grass etc. very comfortable and easy on / off. Clean up easily! 2Great price, surprisingly stylishWas looking for my normal purchase of Muck garden shoes. I was reluctant to pull the trigger for $65+. I saw these at $29 in black and worried about the "plastic" but they feel supple like rubber. I appreciate that they are made in USA. They are comfortable and stylish, with good heal support. There is a slightly visible seam running down the middle of these "garden" shoes. If this would be a deal-killer take a look at the pictures. My Mucks last at least a year or two of hard regular use. Only time will tell how these hold up. 5
