    Looks good, poor construction.Elegant black on black construction. However, of poor construction and thin pressed cardboard rather than plywood. Flimsy plastic edging. The bolts from the outside are too long and poke through to the inside. Would cause damage if used to store delicate, tearable clothing or goods. 3Not the best Open the box scratched up poor quality 1Love this trunkLove this trunk. It came exactly as pictured, and it even came with a lock and key built in which I didn't realize previous to receiving it. However, the lock is very flimsy, so I recommend purchasing a different lock. 5Cheap, Cheap, CheapFirst and foremost, I should have known for $39 bucks, this was going to be cheap. Nonetheless, I ordered it. What makes me really frustrated is that I ordered it from "Boston Bella Baby" but it was dropped shipped from Walmart. I wasn't looking for a Walmart quality item. If I had wanted that, I would have gone to Walmart and purchased it. As it stands, this trunk is very cheaply made. The corner fasteners punctured through to the inside of the trunk which makes it look really shoddy. The lock is questionable, but I knew this going into it that to have it secure, I'd need a different lock. I really wish it were made of a sturdier material with a nice lining, this would have added several more stars to this review. When you think footlocker, you think metal, which this is not. I think it might be cardboard, oops I mean particle board, but I'm not certain. If you want something quality, steer clear of this, but I think you've probably gotten that impression by now. 2Ok. Not stellar but useable.The product was ok. A little less quality than I expected. I bought this one for myself. I already bought 2 Seward "collegiate" style trunks for my kids last year to store their odds and ends in. They were exactly what I expected. My kids love them! This model advertises "fabric lining." I imagined a more felt lining like my dad's old army trunk. It is basically shelf paper lining. I suppose I would have bought it anyway; but that, along with a few places where the paint got scraped off made opening it a little underwhelming. For giggles, I just compared the prices of this trunk and the current prices of the ones I bought the kids last year. This one is cheaper. 3Decor piece onlyI used this to put all my husband's Christmas gifts in. Definitely only meant for decor though, it's thin and I wouldn't recommend using it for travel. If you stacked anything heavy on top or dropped it it would probably break 3Finish/quality control could be betterJust received this footlocker and overall it is what was expected. A standard footlocker for my son to use at summer camp.But the finish and quality control has a lot to be desired. The black metal edge banding around the top and bottom hinged section is scratched/ missing paint for the entire length. This is not damage since it is consistent all the way around the trunk. This is poor quality control within manufacturing that would let this pass. It fits easily under the entertainment centerThis is not a heavy duty trunk. It is not made for putting heavy things in and carrying it. I got this to put things I needed handy, but prefer to keep put of sight when not in use, not for everyday, luggage type situations. For me, this is perfect. It fits easily under the entertainment center, hides some cords, while making it easy to occasionally pull it out for access. The keys were locked inside. However, if you push and manipulate the small tab the sticks out above the key hole, it will unlock the trunk. 4Very poor quality. When I took the trunk out of ...Very poor quality. When I took the trunk out of the box, all of the black trimming and the corners were chipped, and flaking off. Cheaply made, would not recommend this product for the amount paid! 1
