Great for the priceCleans up great 5NOT waterproof!NOT waterproof! Urine soaked through to the mattress. 1Bought one to test out, and have now purchased two more!I read hundred of reviews all over online trying to find a good mattress cover. The purpose for our use of this *Twin Size SafeRest Classic Plus Hypoallergenic 100% Waterproof Mattress Protector - Vinyl Free* was for my 4 yr old's bed. He's a very sound sleeper, and not yet potty trained for nights... And it's been great! We recently got the kids new beds, so when the old mattress was replaced I was determined to find a REALLY GOOD waterproof cover to protect the new one!For those saying this wasn't water proof.. I don't know how that's possible. Maybe they got a "lemon" product? But even after multiple accidents (and my son can pee a lot!) the new mattress below is dry. Originally skeptical because of some mixed reviews, I put one of the polyester crib mattress pads under him to help absorb and "protect just incase" But even without it, there isn't fluid soaking through.DETAILS on the product itself.The sides are not waterproof. It is just a stretchy fabric that fits well around the mattress, and isn't a battle to get on. (a bonus when you have bunk beds you're crawling under/on to make) There is the same soft fabric on the cover itself, that is almost "lined" with the plastic waterproof fabric under it. But it's not crunchy like a lot of plastic liners.I can't say temperature wise how much it effects sleeping on, but we're in AZ so it's always hot.I have washed it multiple times. Personally I wash it in a large net bag to avoid it catching or snagging on anything. Gently in warm water (machine) and hung to dry. In a pinch I put in on low in the dryer to speed up the drying before bedtime, but generally I let it completely air dry. One reason I'm buying an extra spare one.I have previously tried some of the "cheaper" plastic covers, the kind that zip and fully enclose even, and they just rip. And then leak! This one having soft fabric in addition to the waterproof side stands up to little boys bouncing on their bed... And it's not really loud and crunchy when you move or sit on it! (also nice. The last one we had would make horrible noise every time my son moved)I would really recommend this cover, if you're wanting a reasonably priced product that works!*I haven't dumped liquid straight on to test as some people do with these.. And I also don't have pets of any kind climbing on or sleeping on them.. I also wouldn't suggest this as a solution for bedbugs (as pictured on the product photo) simply because it's not a fully incasing cover. 5Great for potty training, puking dogs, or water breaking:)I purchased this to use on our 3 year old's bed while we are working on night time potty training. It has kept the mattress dry, and free of urine. It's not a crunchy or plastic type material (so it's not loud). It's comfortable to sleep on, not slippery. And it doesn't seem to retain body heat. I liked it so much, I bought a bigger size for my bed for two reasons: 1. we have dogs who sleep in bed with us, who occasionally puked on our bed 2. I was pregnant, and was terrified of my water breaking in my sleep (didn't happen). This is definitely worth the price....it has saved our mattress, and our daughter's mattress several times! I will be buying more when our next 2 kids transition to big beds! 5Good product, great customer supportI have ordered four of these. The first two over two years ago and the second two a year later. They have been a wonderful product so far. They're thin and breathable and they don't seem to trap heat. The sizing is generous so they fit well over thicker mattresses and mattress pads without issue. We recently had our first one fail and thankfully there was another mattress protector underneath (we're night potty training) that protected the mattress. I called the company and they were very kind and stuck to their warranty. I would highly recommend this product, it is worth the money.Update:After having several of these failed, I'm not sure that any time in the dryer is safe. They don't take to long to dry if you hang them up. If you wash them in the morning and hang them to dry they will likely be dry by evening, if not a very quick fluff in the dryer is helpful. I've also purchase another mattress protector that was cheaper. It also works but doesn't fully cover the edges of the mattress, feels cheaper and takes longer to hang dry. I still think these are good, just not at all capable of being in the dryer if you want them to last. 3Hasn't Slipped or Moved! Even Though this Bed Does Acrobats!I cover every mattress in this house because life happens. Recently purchased a new adjustable bed for my aging aunt. This cover has a soft feel though it has a little noise to it. Not like crinkling plastic or rubber pants. Just enough for you to know you're not directly laying on the mattress.Machine washed it on a normal cycle prior to putting it on the bed. Held up just fine because I tumbled it on low, pulled it out just before it was completely dry, and hung it to finish drying. I do this with all of our mattress covers. Simply makes for longevity.Fits a 10 inch Twin XL memory foam mattress like it was custom made for it. Hasn't slipped or moved even though this bed does acrobats.Most mattress covers at this price point feel like tarps or paint drop sheets. Very much a value for the price. I'd purchase again. 4All that it says it is!I bought this mattress protector for my son's bed as he's a heavy "sleep sweater" (and has mild allergies) - he's done this since he was a newborn. Although he has a memory foam mattress, which is hypoallergenic, and anti-fungus,-bacterial,-"nearly everything harmful-ial" (ha ha), it does take up odors. I wasn't gonna have his body ruin a perfectly good mattress that should last him many years to come over something that he couldn't help.This protector is all that it says it is! We've used it for over a month now and are very pleased. Its been washed once and just spot cleaned with each bedding change (weekly - biweekly). Its not noise free, but its hardly noticeable. Its durable and I see it lasting for a long time to come, with proper care of course.I highly recommend this product and would re-order it and from this seller in the future should the need arise! 5Well worth the investment, still going strong after three years of constant use.I have four girls who wet the bed for more than 15 years (starting with the oldest). I bought three of these three years ago, in an attempt to get them out of diapers and try to encourage more active effort at training (they had become complacent). These liners work wonderfully! They were all nightly wetters, and these covers have held up to repeated washing and drying even when my kids do the laundry and throw them in on high to dry with a full load. They ve never been bleached as the instructions state not to do, but a good warm wash with some extra soap or a laundry additive gets the urine smell out and is very effective.I recently purchased three more, two for my 3 and 5 (my fifth and sixth children) who are both mostly dry at night, and one to swap out when there s an accident. Even if I don t get to change the bedding these pads dry quickly and seem to keep the smell down.I am happy to say that as of last year my oldest three children; currently 16, 14, and 11 years old, have become dry at night. Biggest mistake I ever made was to put them into pull-ups right when they were potty trained during the day! 5Perfect Mattress Spill Protection CoverThis twin XL size mattress spill protection cover is perfect for my 3 years old granddaughter who is wearing pull-up diapers at nap time. The Terry cloth material is very soft and surprisingly quiet. This is my second purchase. I have not washed them yet, but I read that the mattress protection cover should be avoided drying in a heated dryer. Just wash and then air dry it. I would recommend it to everybody. 5 Stars. 5Does not workWhat is the point of a mattress protector if it doesn't protect anything. My son sometimes wets the bed so we bought this. It DOES NOT work. The mattress protector is dry but his mattress is soaked and stained and smells. The only reason it has a star is because it is soft and fits his mattress perfectly. 1
