Best sleep investment I've ever madeGreat little pillow! I began to suspect something was wrong when my body would wake itself in the middle of the night from how painful my neck would get on a traditional pillow. I had found sleeping on the floor (!??) actually helped alleviate my symptoms, but was hard on my skull. I figured since the floor was harder than the mattress, I might need a smaller, stiffer pillow too. I love it. It helps the neck pain and it never gets hot!!! An unexpected plus for sure! I like I can make a divot for my ear when I side sleep so I don't squash my earrings. It's kinda loud, but I like it. Sounds like one of those rain stick things that are meant to relax you. I definitely took out about 3 cups of hulls, and I found no mold, bugs, or debris when I did so. The hulls smelled faintly of honey! Definitely a great sleep investment, I'm glad I paid a little more for this hotdog pillow instead of going for a rectangular shape from a cheaper brand. 5Simply the best product I have found......period.Not much to say other than we have tried many of this type of product and this product stands apart from the rest.My wife insisted I buy her one so (against my better judgement because these things are a bit pricey) I bought her one.It wasn t long before I kept stealing it from her because I really wanted one but just couldn t bring myself to pay that much for another pillow. Finally I broke down and ordered three more (this will give us both one at our home and our vacation home) and I am so glad I did.These products are extremely well made. Heavy but soft outer covering hold everything in while the inside has just the right amount to hold the shape you put it in.From the moment you open the box and see the care used in packaging (keep in mind its a pillow and very unlikely to be damaged in shipment) but these people pack it so you know when you open the box that you just bought quality.This pillow is perfect for laying in bed watching tv, playing on your iPad, or just relaxing.Take it from someone who spent much more than the cost of this pillow trying the cheaper alternatives (only to end up giving them to charity) and try this very high quality product. You will not be disappointed.I honestly wouldn t sell mine back to the company for double the price paid unless I could immediately reorder another four replacements.I will have one of these pillows for the rest of my life. 5Cool and comfortableThe first I was attracted to buckwheat filling. I use to have regular size pilows with buckwheat filling 20 years ago in Europe and I love it. Since then I haven t had one until I purchased this one. I hate during night if my head got to warm so this one solved my problem. This pillow is great support too. If I am laying down in my bed watching tv, I am using this pillow on the top off regular one just for support. Sometimes I test my arms and always have this cool comfortable feeling. Also there is a zipper so you can adjust amount of buckwheat in your pillow. I am going to buy couple more 5Saved my neckI was a bit weary about using a roll pillow as I Love my big plush pillow(s). I used this the first night I bought it and haven' t looked back. I have even taken it traveling in my suitcase to ensure a good night's sleep. I did take about 1.5 cups of hulls out to make it a bit lower for my neck - so it is very easy to adjust. Highly recommended. No neck pain since getting this. I wish I knew about this a long long time ago. I would have save tons of money and time on chiropractors.... Now I just need to make a cover for it that I can wash. I have a standard pillow case wrapped around it as a temporary measure. 5I've tried many pillows, but this one helped the most.I was very skeptical because a buckwheat pillow sounded like it would be hard. I thought it would be like a bean bag chair and feel really silly/awkward. I took a risk because the price was reasonable and I wanted a pillow that would fit in my suitcase while traveling. I was pleasantly surprised! I now use this as my pillow every night (not just for travel). It's helped reduce my neck pain, migraine headaches, and teeth clenching -- I'm not 100% cured by any means, but it has helped me wake up in less pain than I would without it. I've tried many expensive pillows over the years from latex to memory foam and this one has helped me the most. I sleep on my back only -- I'm not sure, but it seems this pillow is made for back sleepers only and wouldn't be as useful to side sleepers. Very easy to clean. I did take out some hulls (a sandwich ziplock baggie full) to reduce the height. Every once and awhile I notice a couple of hulls escape from the zipper opening, but no big deal; just sweep it away with the palm of your hand. I would recommend this pillow to others. 5Good pillow for my neckI am a big fan of buckwheat pillows, and I now own 3 of them. I bought this pillow because I wanted a cylinder shaped one, and my regular buckwheat pillow seller did not have the cylinder shape. You can reduce or add (you may need to buy the buckwheat to add) the buckwheat inside depend on how low/high you want the pillow to be for your neck and shoulders. I took out some buckwheat since it was too high for me. The first night I tried this pillow, I could already tell the difference that pressures I had been feeling on my neck were reduced. I don't have a dull pain on on my neck or in the back of my eyes anymore. I will continue to use it every night, and I have my other buckwheat pillows by my side just in case I want to use a different shape sometimes.I did not give 5 stars because the buckwheat was mixed with some white things. My other buckwheat pillows had only plain buckwheat, and they did not have any indication of mixtures inside, but this one did. Other than that, I love it. 4WOW! I love this pillow!I am really picky when it comes to pillows, and it's rare to find a firm pillow that isn't too tall or shaped strangely. For me, this is perfect! It has the perfect amount of firmness, but can be shaped to fit your neck. Because it's filled with buckwheat, it also holds its shape once you get it comfortable. I was a little worried when I read review of buckwheat pillows from other companies, but this was 100% clean and pest free. It has no smell whatsoever, not sure what I expected, but it literally smells like nothing. If you're considering this, go for it, I wish I would have gotten one years ago. 5Finally!I've always held most of my tension in my neck and have done some rather physically demanding work with children for years, so my neck is often sore for more than one reason. I've gone through lots of pillows in the past; even the one recommended by my chiropractor didn't help much, but it wasn't until recently that I finally decided to try something completely different. I'm happy to say that in the few months since I purchased my neck pillow, I've had much less pain/discomfort.After I bought this, I read in Consumer Reports that buckwheat pillows are the best choice for people who change sleep positions during the night (i.e.: side- AND back-sleepers), and realized that for some reason, I'm much less likely to even TRY sleeping on my stomach since I got this pillow--perhaps because I'm more comfortable in the first place. (This just confirms my belief that everybody's body is different and it's worth the trouble to find what works for YOU.)Yes, the buckwheat hulls do make noise, but I don't find it to be any noisier than some crispy, stiff hotel sheets I've slept on, and my husband isn't bothered by it, either. As the manufacturer suggests, I experimented with removing a few cups' worth of hulls to adjust the thickness and stashed them away in a zip-lock bag in case I need or want them later. I found that the pillow fits nicely into the "bottom" of a regular pillow case; I rolled up the remaining portion of the case, secured the edges with a couple of safety pins, and voila: an already-paid-for, washable case that matches the rest of my bedding. 5High qualityThis was a high quality pillow, but it had too much stuffing in it to put under my neck when laying on my bed, so I had to return it and buy one with a smaller diameter. I could have taken some of the hulls out, but I needed it to be half its size, so thought it would be better to get a smaller neck pillow rather than having a floppy half-filled larger one. 4Comfortable, adjustable, sturdy, sustainableI really like the sturdy cloth casing. I use a pillowcase with it so it will stay clean. I understand I could take the hulls out in order to wash the casing, but that seems like a lot of effort. I've just wrapped a regular pillowcase around it, and that works well enough for me. Maybe someday I'll buy/make a more custom-sized case.The pillow was too firm for me upon arrival, but removing some of the hulls until it suited my comfort was pretty easy, and now I'm super happy with this pillow.Sustainability is really important to me, so I'm really glad I didn't have to buy plastic (foam, polyester, etc.) in order to sleep comfortably. 5
