Customer Reviews

Thick heavy and can't grab a single hairI have bought Mehaz collection tweezers by Rubis my whole adult life and have always found them to be the most precise. These are the worst. Thick metal. Cannot grab hairs. Not real Rubis from what I can tell. Comes in a knockoff box. Heavy, thick, not fined tuned and total waste of money.1BEWARE! These Rubis Tweezers are NOT what they used to be!After three "really terrible" pairs of Rubis tweezers, bought from Amazon, Rubis is losing my business! I will change my supplier. When I got my third, and final pair, $28, I could tell The metal is thicker and heavier....it is not high quality like it used to be. They do NOT tweeze! I knew they were not working, but had to use them until I had to return. They worked about three months, not well! Now I'm beyond my return date. I can no longer return them! I still have the three pairs of tweezers and can send to you. My account indicates the purchase dates. I will try something new, but these are a waste of money!1Great tweezers Expensive, but worth the price. There's nothing worse than cheap tweezers that are good for nothing. These are precision tools that are well worth the money. 5and because of that I feel like they don't fully grip each hair I really swear by these tweezers. The tips are very precise and get each hair that I target. One con that's only become an issue recently is that the metal part where you grip gives a little, and because of that I feel like they don't fully grip each hair. 5Rubis #135 ordered - but not received This pair of tweezers misrepresented on Amazon site. Packaging completely different from pair I own, the #135 is not engraved on item as pair I bought before and even the perforations are different on item. Will not buy again from Amazon - I'm very disappointed with this purchase. 2disappointing- okay until you drop them Over the past few years, I have purchased 4 pairs of these perforated rubies tweezers. 3 out of the 4 preformed pretty well right out of the package. They mostly grabbed eyebrow hair, but you had to really angle the tweezers at the right angle for the tweezer edges to catch. Over time I did drop the tweezers and the edges were bent immediately so they did not grab hair anymore. I sent them back to be resharpened, but when they arrived, they never performed as well as they had when they were new; I don't know if the edges weren't filed down enough or they were filed at a different angle, or what. I am disappointed. My son accidentally dropped my final pair last night while the tweezer tips were still in their protective silicon encasement- unfortunately, the silicon did not protect the edges, and they are ruined as well. Instead of sending them back for sharpening, I am going to find a new brand of tweezers. 2Send back for sharpening? Used by my wife. Usually become dull and stops gripping after 5 or 6 months. Then we buy a replacement. This time they became dull after 5 weeks and past the return date. Can I send them to be sharpened. 2Imitation, flimsy, not the high quality Rubis tweezers I have had before. These are NOT Rubis Mehaz tweezers. A poor imitation. Logo is ink stamped, not engraved. Very disappointed. 1Broke after a year ... They worked very well for a year and half and suddenly stopped working. For the price I paid I would think they would last a little longer!!! Can't tweeze anything with them anymore! 2they were $25- the price keeps going up while the quality is like the ones I find at the local stores I have bought three of these tweezers in the past and each time I am less impressed. They seem thick and it is almost impossible to pick up a single hair. It has now become time consuming when it is time to remove hair. When I first bought these, they were $25- the price keeps going up while the quality is like the ones I find at the local stores. Save your money on these. Look elsewhere? 1Five Stars My favorite tweezers. Just don't drop them because they will never be the same 5Buyer Beware! When I first got the Rubis #135, I would have given it 5 stars, however I have changed my mind. I've had these since Jan 20, 2015. Took them on vacation Feb 28. Apparently, I should have put them in a metal crush proof box lined with cotton. They were not dropped, crushed or damaged in any way. Occasionally carried in my pocket. Four days into vacation, they are useless! When I returned home, I went to the Rubis website to see if I can have them repaired??? Only if I mail them at my expense with add'l charges for overseas shipping!!! No way! I guess I'm just SOL and $37 down the drain!1My Favorite Expensive Tweezers... These tweezers are incredible. They are so good, you can remove the finest of hairs - even stitches from the Doctor with ease. Don't let your husband use them for anything (I actually HIDE mine). Clean out the grabby parts after use and hide. I have another pair that I've owned for over 20 years and they still can pick up the slimmest of splinters and tiniest of hairs. Expensive but worth every penny. 5
