    Just the right size for our ice maker in the freezer!Exactly the right size for our ice dispenser! Couldn t love more. Take a look at the photos. 5OKIt holds almost exactly 64 fl. oz. (of water). No extra room so that in reality you have less "working" volume (arguably). Seems sturdy enough (I just received it) and handle is comfortable enough. I tried to remove the UPC paper sticker and it didn't peel off cleanly. I mean seriously?? Matching the adhesive to the label and object isn't rocket science. I spent a couple of minutes removing the vestiges of the adhesive and paper fibers off of it. Not a big deal, but annoying enough to push it down from 4 to 3 stars. I expected a bit better from Rubbermaid. The thing will (probably) do great at getting ice but there's some compromise between the height of the mouth and its width - meaning more "resistance" while scooping (compared to say a circular mouth). Mouth is (roughly) 5 & 3/8ths high and about 6 & 1/8th (inches) wide.Width tapers only slightly but the height (as the picture shows) decreases to about 3 inches in about 1.5 inches. It will stand upright (on a flat surface). It's too bad there are no graduations (volume marks) or maybe I could have ignored the sticker (not that it's designed for fluids (but it could come in handy for that from time to time, who knows?)) 3Great Quality Ice ScoopI purchased this little scoop for my family to use with our in-freezer ice maker. It is perfect! The scoop is very durable, even standing up to the abuse of my young children. Staying in the freezer does not affect it at all - some scoops get brittle in the freezer. The size is perfect for putting ice in glasses, my water bottle and in the blender. Any larger would be unwieldy. 5Utility scoopThis scoop is just perfect for what I bought it for and it came at exactly the right time. I have a five gallon bucket on my back porch that I store ice melt in. The scoop works well even if confined a little and scoops up enough product that I can hand broadcast the ice melt right out of the scoop! I did exactly that today, going back and refilling the scoop several times. I may get a container just a little larger than that five gallon container, but until I do the scoop will work just fine with the bucket I have. 5good value product.i was looking for an ice scoop. i was mixing small gravel with mortar to make my own recipe for concrete and got tired of the gravel falling off the shovel. i saw this and said what the heck i'll try it. when i got it i was disappointed at how small it was. deduct a star. when i started using it, i found it was the perfect size. add a star. the way the handle is mounted to the scoop balances it and give good control. the extra wide mouth works great for my application. hope it's made in the US. don't know how well it will hold up as i don't treat it that well on the jobsite. but for the money i'll just buy another. 5False and harmful advertisingStates in description that it is BPA free. However it has a warning label for containing a chemical that causes birth defects and is harmful to reproductive health. Upon further searching, the company's response to another poster's question regarding the label was that it contains trace amounts of BPA. False and harmful advertising. Wow. 1I'm glad I found these when I did because they sure ...What a scoop! This scoop works for just about anything. Yep, it scoops ice, but I also use it to chop ice apart (works, but a less rounded, more tapered end would help), scoop just about anything from coffee to dry beans; and dig into that big bag of dry dog food.Maybe I should clarify: I have 4 or 5 of these and one is dedicated to dog food. I initially bought it for scooping ice, but then realized there were many more things that an all purpose scoop can scoop, including dry ingredients for baking, coffee, and raisins, nuts, etc. I always try to have a clean one around. The others travel in containers (e.g., my 10# container of flour). I'm glad I found these when I did because they sure make life easier. I had seen a lot of other scoops but hesitated because of concerns about price and durability. Well, this one got rid of both concerns. At under $5, it has been easy to justify buying several, and I think they just might be indestructible. I've dropped one straight from the freezer to slate floor and put it through all types of abuse. Other than it would be nice if it had a more pointed end for scooping ice, this is a great all-purpose scoop. 5The greatest scoop ever created!!Its a scoop!I personally am using this to scoop ice from an office ice machine..But the possibilities are endless!! You could scoop up all sorts of things if you wanted to!I will provide a list of things I was able to think of: Nuts and bolts, sand, assorted grains, marbles, Lego, other (smaller) scoops), candy, tacs, paperclips, a small rodent, screws, nails, keys, coins, computer chips, broken glass, kitty litter, pet food, detached fingers, gravel, medication, alphabet soup, dry pasta noodles, loose keys off your keyboard, metal brackets, human teeth, animal teeth, sugar, spices, everything nices, and ice. 5Measuring cup as well as scoop.Works great for scooping chopped veggies & things off a cutting board. That was the original reason I went looking for a rectangular scoop. Most of the time I had managed to get everything over to the stove without spillage, but with this scoop it is easier. Once I bought it, it gets used all the time while I'm cooking, both as a scoop & as a measuring cup. There are eight marks along the side, each marking a cup. Scoop holds 2 quarts.It also gets used to water plants. Easier to fill than most pitchers; being short it slides easily under my kitchen faucet. It is easy to pour water out of either front corner. It will stand on end. The bottom of the handle is flush with the bottom of the scoop, giving the scoop a very stable base to set it down even when full of liquid. 5I just love this ice cube scoopI just love this ice cube scoop. I fits perfectly in the Sterlite 72508006 Ice /cube Bin that I purchased together with the ice trays. I no longer have to touch ... or worse ... have people picking up ice cubes with their bare (who knows or how clean hands). My fridge has a built-in ice maker and water dispenser, but after leaking problems I disconnected both and now use my easily accessible ice from the bin that I will report separately since it appears as a separate item. Look for that review as well. 5
