This is way more durable and feels like it will last me a long time. 5The perfect spatula.When someone gets design just *right*, the result is a superlative product, and this spatula is such a product. The head is made of heat-immune silicone, with precisely the right amount of stiffness for scraping out bowls and folding together ingredients. It cleans easily, appears totally immune to staining, and is durable against daily use. The handle is stainless steel: strong, light, and a breeze to clean. It even has an eye for hanging the spatula on a hook.The only fly in the ointment for some people will be that the spatula and handle are held together by friction. I like this because I can slide it apart to clean the edge between them, and the silicone grips it well enough to not pose a problem for me, but I could see it coming apart if pulled hard during specific uses (caramel and confectionary?).I should note that my RSVP Endurance spatula is the mostly frequently used utensil in my kitchen. I use it for mixing up punch, bread dough, scraping sauces and dressings out of containers, and to handle things in a pan. If it lasts a year with such daily use, I'll consider it a good buy. 5
