Customer Reviews

Good Enough but not as complete as i thoughtTank came as described- well packaged, on time. The bladder- is it already prefilled? Do I need to fill it at all? Point is- no documentation on any of that. Additionally, it came with an elbow valve to go on top. Great- but different than the one that the unit came with initially. Now I assume that the tank is generic and that the RO system company selected the valve, but the one provided with this tank wouldn't work with my system so I had to go to Lowe's to fin parts to make it work. Only another $4 but I was worried that I'd have to order the part on Amazon and wait even longer to get this thing set up. Overall happy with the unit 4Exactly what I neededI had purchased a reverse osmosis filtering system from Sam's Club over 10 years ago and needed to replace my storage tank. I could not find an exact replacement even after checking with several supply houses locally. I even ordered one too large just because I thought my only other option was to buy a complete new system from a supply house. Thanks to Amazon, I quickly located this unit and received it only a day or two after the supply house finally got in the larger and more expensive tank which I cancelled. This tank worked perfectly. 5great price for that tankamazing price ($35 shipped, got it 2 days later from "Soumi Knight Systems") for the tank - even comes with plastic base (my old one didn't) and a off valve for the top (re-used mine as the tubing was smaller than what I was using. Hard to beat when others are 2-3x the price. Hopefulyl this will last a while (old one 5-7y leaked air into the water loosing presure over time and adding bubbles).Only down side was no info/instruction printed with tank. Should tell you you need to clorinate it before usage (I presume it wasn't). 5Quick Easy Repair for my RO SystemMy Watts RO system purchased from Costco about 4 years ago, just wouldn't produce any water at the tap. I thought I had a pressure issue or maybe one of the filters was clogging up. I would turn on the tap and get about 3 seconds of strong water flow, then it went to a trickle. It was taking a long time just to fill one water glass.I replaced the filters and there was no change in water pressure. Then I read about these things having a bladder in them, so I followed a procedure I saw on YouTube to drain the tank and check for 5-7 psi in the tank bladder. Well, it was low, so I filled it back to 7 psi. That didn't work either so I left it alone for a while, then saw that they tanks don't cost that much to replace.I got this on Amazon and 2 days later installed it in 5 minutes (simple install, the bladder is already pressurized inside), let it fill up for a while, then it was amazing. It was like having a brand new system again! Steady, consistent, water pressure at the tap! This seems to be the same exact tank my Watts system came with originally. I don't know how long it is supposed to last, but I got about 4 yrs. out of my original tank and at under $40 to replace, it's not bad I suppose. 5Tank is great, valve leakedThe tank is great, it is even pre-pressured to the recommended 7 psi!!The right angle valve that came with it leaked at the 1/4" tube connect pointspraying water everywhere!! I wanted to finish my install, so i removed the tube retainer and "o" ring that seals the tube. The "o" ring was smashed and split on the outside edge of the ring. (It must have been installed that way, as the outside edgeof the ring cannot be damaged by inserting the tube) I replaced the "o" ring and reassembled, no more leak!! 33.2 Gallon Storage Tank w/Ball ValveIt's a little larger than my old one, but works very well. I replaced the 1/4 inch ball valve with the 3/8 inch one that was on my old tank to accommodate the 3/8 inch tubing already in place. The 3/8 inch tubing allows faster water flow to the faucet and allows the tank to refill faster than the 1/4 inch tubing. 5Great until it failsReplaced my old tank that lasted over 5 years. This one failed in 5 months! Purenex only warrants in their technician installs. I guess you get what you pay for. 1Do not buy Purenex Storage TanksPurchased this product in Dec 2014. Product stopped working by Dec 2015. Seriously! Must be poor manufacturing quality. Now I have to get another one. They do not even warranty their product, so buyers be aware of what you may be buying. 1Purenex won't stand behind their productsMy inquiry to Purenex:3 months ago I ordered a water storage tank from you. Last week the bladder in the tank ruptured, flooding my RO system with air. I am hoping that this item is still covered under warranty since it has failed after such a short time. Please advise me as to how to go about getting a replacement.Their reply:We totally understand your frustration, but nothing we can do about that, warranty covers only those equipment what was installed by our technicians.Thank you,Purenex 1not a good productThis is really inferior! It lasted less than 18 months before the bladder burst. With RO water, the tanks should be stainless steel, otherwise they will rust. The reason I knew the bladder burst was because the tank was covered in rust. Other brands last 5 years plus, read the other reviews and understand that this is not a good product. 1
