    Pioneer!!Another great Pioneer album. Most think I am old fashioned; instead of putting every insignificant picture I take on Facebook I print my favorites and put them in albums that people have to physically visit in order to see. I just think there is something special to photographs quickly being stripped away with the excessive reign of digital pictures. After dealing with a junky three ring binder album I decided I would only buy ones with bonded pages and quickly discovered Pioneer to still offer great quality albums despite the decline in demand. I buy Pioneer exclusively and like this album's sturdy build and simplicity. Some might be offended by the new smell it carries when first opened but it airs out quickly. Photos are not cheap, do not lose them because of a junky album. 5I have photo albums from the 80s that have never ...I have photo albums from the 80s that have never split, ripped, or otherwise torn, however the photo albums from today, these included, I can't even get the pictures in without ripping the layer of plastic that is supposed to secure and protect my pictures. 1Pockets aren't really pockets at allI wish the description would've made it clear that the "optically clear pockets" are just one huge pocket per page instead of 3 picture-sized pockets per page. You will have to use some kind of adhesive or other method if you want your pictures to stay in place, which is a MAJOR detraction if you ask me. 1Great Album - No SmellFound this on amazon - had great reviews and some that mentioned a horrible smell. I purchased it anyways and LOVE IT! The album did has a "scent" to it almost like if you ever bought a leather couch. The first day or so yes it smells brand new like the leather has just been cleaned or opened up to the air but it was nothing out of the ordinary. After a few days the smell was gone and now it's just an album that I love! Can't wait to fill this with photos and buy more. 5Solid beautiful albumThis book is really solid!I was looking for a gift for my nephew. He asked for a photo album as he has recently fallen in love with taking pictures. I started looking immediately for something that he would like. At 15 he needed something that was masculine and not something with flowers or the words 'FAMILY' on the front. Which is remarkably hard to find sometimes. When I came across this I thought it would be perfect. The price was sound and it was easy to tell that he could use it for a while. 300 pictures is quite a few.It came quickly and in it's own box. It was packaged very well. I was immediately impressed by the quality of the item. It's very solid in it's construction. I wanted something plain because he is very much into Wolves and I plan to embroidery a cover for it with a wolf for the front. However, even if he gets out of his wolf stage and takes the cover off the book itself is very nice. Each page holds three pictures on one side. There is room beside each picture so that you can write little notes or descriptions. Which is SO nice especially for a young teenage boy that is experiencing so much. I can imagine later in life he will be going through this and the notes will help him remember the people, places, years that the pictures were taken. This book is large!!!! I love it though, I think it helps with the solid construction.The only downfall I really see is that there is no way to ever add more pages. But, then I didn't expect that, if I wanted an expandable one I would have bought one. I can tell that once all 300 pictures are in this album it's going to be a very full book. I can't wait to see him use it. 5When I received them I was pleased with the looksI bought these albums to somewhat match the ones I've been buying at Costco since Costco is no longer carrying them. When I received them I was pleased with the looks, size and color. The quality seemed OK. After I lovingly inserted around 250 pictures, I went back to the front page and the pages completely split away from the binding. Thankfully this happened before I had written all my notes in the margins. Hopefully this is an isolated case as I didn't see any other reviews with this problem but I will return them for a full refund. 1Binding has separatedNice to put photos is vertically or horizontally but the binding on one of the two books has already separated and I've literally only opened it 3 times. Disappointed. 4Great way to store your photos and add details/dates to enhance reminiscing!I've had mine for a few months now and it came in the mail nicely packaged, on time, and is great quality.I was a bit hesitant to buy this item due to the mixed reviews but I figured that the price was just too good to pass up and I'm glad I did. The photo album is of nice quality and stores my photos the way I wanted it to, it designates half of each page to writing in dates and labels which I think is a nice touch. I definately recomend buying it if you're in the market for a nice photo album that allows you to add details and dates beside each photo for ample preservation of memories! 5Great quality!I bought 3 of these a few years ago and just bought a few more. Great quality, they look nice and hold a ton of pictures. I plan on ordering more in the future!!! 5Look for a different product.Should have paid attention to the negative reviews. I give this one star because the album cover looks nice however it smells terrible. One reviewer compared it to a sharpie marker. I think it's the glue on the binding. No amount of airing will get rid of that. The pages are flimsy and the cellophane like inserts are wavy. Bought three and they're on the way back to Amazon. 1
