You can stop searching now - Platinum standard in sheets. It has become a joke in my family that I have a thing about sheets. Not true of course. I have just found that great sheets are very hard to pick out of the noise. Thread count, that's it! Magic fabric! Blends! Hotel style! And so forth. But the sheets just were not so impressive. After reading a good bit on the subject, I thought of the most memorable sheets that I have ever slept on. They were at an inn on the Phillips Academy in New Hampshire in 1976 or 7. Heavy but cool. I think they even starched them. Had to be 100% cotton percale I think now. Almost too nice to sleep on but I had no chance of staying awake - so comfortable. These Peru Pima are them I think. These are real sheets, heavier than every higher price sheet I know of. I have not starched them yet! I won't, I reckon. They feel cool yet substantial. When my wife gave me these for my birthday (on my recommendation), I turned around and ordered a 2nd set. 415 thread count. I think I will use them a long long time. 5Poor Quality After the large number of positive reviews and almost perfect rating, I had a lot of hope for these sheets. I should have known better. These are awful. I have tired a number of different sheets through the years at a lot of different quality levels. I have even tried the cheap generic box store sheets and those blew these out of the water. I figured these would get better with wear and washes. No luck. We just purchased a new King bed, standard height (non-pillow top) and the fitted sheet repeatedly comes off the corners. TL;DR: Poor quality fabric and feel, sizing is not correct for a standard mattress let alone pillow tops. 1Nice fabric but skimpy fit Nice quality sheeting fabric. I'm glad I followed the advice of another customer and purchased these instead of the thinner, less expensive version. Bottom sheet is cut generously however I can't say the same about the flat sheet and the pillowcases, hence my rating is only three stars. The flat sheet isn't wide enough to be able to tuck in properly at the foot of the bed. It's not enough to make the fitted seat deep enough for a 14-inch mattress - follow through on the sizing for the flat sheet too! Plus the pillowcases need to be about two inches longer to fit queen size pillows. I don't think that's too much to expect given I purchased a queen sheet set. I'm not going to spend an additional $50 on king cases. This is super annoying since less expensive sheet sets usually have pillowcases that fit. My pillows are 30" long and these pillowcases are 30" long which means the pillows usually wind up poking out by a couple of inches. If only Peru Pima had followed the norm of making their standard cases 32" long, it would be ok. 3Ohhhhh! I didn't know I could fall in love with bed sheets. It was instant too ha! The moment I laid on my bed, Ohhhhhhh! They really do feel crispy yet soft. Also, they are breathable and cool to the touch. These are not your typical discount sheets.I never thought I would pay $100 for bed sheets but after some research on bedding, I decided to take a chance. I will certainly buy another 2 sets. 5Worst sheets ever! Feels like sleeping on plastic. I have no idea how this product gained so many positive reviews, which makes me suspicious if the reviews are even genuine. The moment I took these sheets out of the box I instantly regretted my purchase. The sheets are extremely wrinkly, thin, and felt like some cheap polyester/plastic. If you've ever had a polyester flag, you know the feeling. I am absolutely astonished they can make 100% cotton feel so strange. This is the third time I've been severely disappointed buying sheets on Amazon. Don't waste your time buying these and then driving to the mailbox to return them like I did, just go to a physical store so you can feel them before you buy them, like I'm going to right now. 12nd wash color faded Only the second wash and color faded. Otherwise seem ok, definitely not luxurious category. Wrinkles are terrible!! 1delightful and a joy to sleep in year after year I've been looking for the kind of percale sheets my grandmother used. Crisp, delightful and a joy to sleep in year after year. When I read the reviews online for these sheets I noticed several comments about them feeling scratchy at first, so I purchased them with a bit of trepidation. However when they arrived, beautifully packaged I might add, I found them to be exactly what I was looking for. They are the best. Their crispness is not scratchy at all, they have an amazing feel night after night. They feel special. I'll be spreading the word and saving up to buy another set. Thank you for the great quality. 5The most comfortable sheets I have ever owned!! I was so happy with my first gorgeous set of Peru Pima sheets that I promptly ordered a second set. They are the most comfortable sheets that I have ever owned. The workmanship, and the quality of the cotton, is top notch. The sheets have small, even stitching. No hanging threads or other manufacturing defects. No fraying or pilling. My sets are a beautiful bright white.These sheets are not too thin, nor too heavy. They are soft, but not limp. They have crisp body to them. They are ample sized. I have washed them a few times now (cold water, low dryer), and have not noticed any shrinkage.The packaging is beautiful too. These are well worth the money!UPDATE January 25, 2017: These have been washed many times since I received them last April. They are still soft and comfortable. I don't see that they have worn at all. I recently got a new topper for my mattress that increased the thickness from 12" to 15". The fitted sheet still fits fine. Also, in all this time, no pilling. This is good quality cotton. 5BEST SHEETS I VE EVER PURCHASED!!!! EVER. These are the most well made, high quality set of sheets I have purchased in a long time. They washed beautifully and it truly was like I was engulfed in absolute perfection and craftsmanship. So worth every penny. I also purchased a much hyped king sheet set (Melanni 1800 series) the same day and they were marketed to be high quality at a lower price when actually what they were was cheaply made and awful. I was so sad. The stitching had threads already loose before even washing them and the material is just thin and cheaply made. I should have known better. Live and learn, I will be ordered 2 more king sets from Peru Pima and will be recommending this company to my friends and family. I love buying beautiful sheets for people for Christmas so boy are they going to luck out this year!!! Thank you PERU PIMA for restoring my faith in quality products again!!! 5Overpriced cheaply-made sheets Basic percale sheets. But are they worth the price? Not really.They are very basic percale. Not the worst sheets I've slept on, but not the best either. Pockets aren't particularly deep. 1/4 inch elastic in a casing on the fitted sheet.I've spent less money on better constructed sheets that feel amazing. These sheets are pricey and nothing special . 1
