    Ripple me this!Wow! I love it! I had to wait a little while to see how it stood up. It is not super strong, but I open and close it like a door several times a week as it is a barrier to our dining room/media room. A nice looking screen too! It has a little bit of a ripple on one of the squares. It is clued in place that way and came that way. That is a slight defect, and I am unsure how to fix it safely. So far, I have just ignored it. I have thought about steaming or ironing it to see if I can shrink the fabric and tight it up and in turn removing the ripple. We will see....So It's nice, and well made, and I do like it. It loses a star for the ripple issue. See picture I uploaded. 4Beautiful!A beautiful Japanese accent for my room...and it's beautifully made. 5Examine carefully after deliveryI am very pleased with this purchase. However, the original item was returned as having arrived seriously damaged. There were a number of breaks in the wooden spines, as well as a puncture through the paper screening. The return was easy and the replacement (same product) arrived very quickly and was perfect. 4beautifulThis is a really nice screen. I would have mentioned that only, but I think the company is pretty great too. It came with a bit of damage. And what did the company do? They are sending me out replacement partitions, right away. I expected them to not even acknowlege the issue! But they were super nice and not intimidating. It is a welcome surprise to find a company that is that terrific with CS. 5Beautiful screenI love the height and bottom panel on this 7" screen. We are using it in an over-sized open doorway to create separation between rooms and it's working beautifully - it blocks the full opening while still allowing light to shine through from the windows behind it. The extra height and 6 panels makes it a little more awkward to move than a standard shoji screen, but it's lightweight and sturdy enough that it's manageable. 4Poor WorkmanshipLots of defects in workmanship. I would have returned, but I was just too busy and it was so big that it was to much of a hassel to box back up and return. If it was cheap i would have overlooked the poor workmanship and chalked it up to you get what you pay for. But this was expensive!! 2Two enthusiastic thumbs upThe 7' screen arrived in a huge box, obviously, but with very little damage to one corner. There was not a lot of cushion in the box, but it was apparently enough to keep the screen from getting damaged. As others have mentioned, the color is not exactly as it appears in the picture. I ordered the 'walnut' stain, which is dark brown in the picture, but more of a red brown and lighter than the website pic. I expected that from the other descriptions. The paper in the screen is 'fiber reinforced,' so it's much thicker than rice paper and is almost like a thin sheet of foam. It's quite sturdy. The screen is lightweight and easy to move. The hinges are sturdy and working well so far and allow each panel to move forward or backward. 5disappointed ..Minus 10 on ratingThis product arrived completely damaged and had terrible workmanship. Th shipping box was not damaged. I have assume the screen was already damaged when it was shipped to me. Wood was bent and screens were already separating from the frame. I live too far to ship it back ...and don't want to request another one as I expect it, too, will be just as bad. very disappointed. no quality. I only put one star because I could not submit without a rating..but this was minus 10 on any scale. 1Too damanged...will need to return it :-(This 6 panel screen arrived today. In several places it is slightly dinged... that would be ok. However 2, side by side, wood frames are broken completely through.. Also one of the panel's paper looks glued unevenly, is wavy. Had another delivered today and it's fine, and another the following day, and it's fine. Amazon makes this return EASY ! Thank you, Amazon! 1It looks as though the product was damaged before it was packed.I received this item damaged. It was totally destroyed and the boxe was in fairly good shape. It looks as if the product were damaged before it was boxed.Also, no place on the box was there fragile stickers.Thank you! 1
