    Questionable quality This divider showed up very promptly and looks pretty nice when we placed it. However - the quality is average at best and there are marks on the light colored paper material.What do I mean by average quality? Well, some of the decorative cross slats are cracked and some are broken in half. Some of the decorative cross slats are bowed so as to be notiaible.Upon close examination you can see the construction is not of high quality. Looks good from a distance - but keep your distance!The good side of this is it was delivered without damage and in a very quick time frame. This is a light piece of furniture and it was packaged well.Bottom line - we're going to keep it for a week and see if we can live with it. For one hundred and forty nine bucks I expect a little more. 3Attractive, lightweight, and inexpensive shoji screen UPDATE: Here's a good way to prevent floor scuffs or scratches. Purchased 3/4" Dia 16 Pack Heavy Duty Felt Nail-on Slider Glide Pads for Chairs, Stools. These press easily into slits at the bottom of each panel.* * *I needed something to provide privacy for my French doors without blocking the light, and this turned out to be an attractive solution. The gray goes nicely with the trim around the doors. As other reviewers have mentioned, this is a lightweight screen, and priced accordingly. The screen arrived undamaged; however, there is defect in one of the wood double cross designs where it appears to have split during manufacture. Because I saved a lot purchasing a warehouse deal, I decided to keep. I may eventually just remove the one panel. 4Great Screen for Privacy The screen allows much light to come through while providing the privacy I need. I originally wanted a black frame but am happy with the grey because it blends in to my apartment much better whereas the black would be more stark and contrasting. Also, love the 6 panels to completely divide the room if necessary. It folds and unfolds very easily. Also relatively sturdy when open. I have not had issues with it toppling over. When it was originally sent, the box was damaged and there was a hole punctured through the screen. Amazon quickly sent me a replacement. That said, the fabric of the screen is thin so if you have pets or kids, this may not be a good choice for you. 4Looks great, excellent value This covers a small work desk in the guest room perfectly; in fact, our guest did not even know there was anything back there. This picture is using just 5 of the six panels; we doubled the last two as we did not need it. This fits perfectly into the Japanese theme of the room. 5Works great in my wellness studio to subdivide one of my ... Works great in my wellness studio to subdivide one of my treatment rooms. It is lightweight and easy to fold up. It stores away nicely. The 5 panels are great and runs the length of my massage table. The length can not be fully extended or the unit won't stand, so take that into account when figuring out the size you need. The grey detail work looks very clean and simple and the white fabric lets light shine through. There is a bit of space at the joints/folds, so one can see through these gaps slightly. Overall, very happy with this purchase. 5Cheaply made but nice looking. Mine had some paint runs and some exposed staples, so it kind of looked cheap (which it is) but still looks elegant from afar. It's gold is slightly aged a little which gives it an antique look. Stands on its own and spreads out to cover a big area. 4Very good purchase. This shoji screen is of very good quality and looks very nice. It is also true to size. It comes already put together which was a major bonus since I was expecting to put it together ourselves. I'm very happy with it! It is a very good investment for anyone in need of a room separator or a screen to hide something unsightly (in our case a workout machine). 5Good quality screen for the price Using the screen to separate out the back office area in a clinic with Japanese-style decor. Provides privacy yet still allows light in. Good size, nice color, great price. Would definitely buy another. 5The quality of the product is better than I expected The six panel version of this product was on sale at the same price as the four panel version. I wasn't sure if it would be more than I wanted and take up too much space but figured I could always take off any extra panels that I did not need. The quality of the product is better than I expected... and I still know I will need to be careful to not damage the product in the sometimes haste I find myself in. The extra panels really work for me. I have created a semi circle behind where I sit at my desk as a background for when I am using Skype and other video software. I love the spaciousness. I have no fears of the panel falling in this configuration. The hinges are double hinged so that each panel can be folded in either direction. Bright light does easily shine through the panels. There is up to a 1/4" gap between some of the panels. The product came fully assembled. It's light enough for me to handle on my own moving to where I want to put it and folding it up when I don't want to use it. 5Inspect thoroughly before use- may have metal sticking out! I was going to give this more stars initially. Its a nice size and color and did the job. Unfortunately, when I moved it to a different room with my hardwood floors, I started seeing scratches on the floor. I couldn't figure out if if they had been there or if something was making them. Eventually, many scratches later, I realized it was the shade! One side has two little staple/nail type metals sticking out which scratched my floors. When I switched rooms, I must have turned it on the other side as I didn't see any scratches in the other room. See pic- I had to label it the top as I couldn't find my hammer. My advice- inspect throughly before using. 3
