    Beautiful product, great value.I am really impressed by the quality of this screen... it is added so much to my room and doesn t look or feel cheaply made at all. If I saw this in someone else s home I would expect them to have paid much more for it. I m only giving it four stars just because I ordered honey but received natural color screen It looks great and I m happy with this color so all s we ll that ends well.4Lightweight and adaptableThis was ordered as a privacy screen when we have our front door open. This was the perfect product and the color blends in with our d cor.5Item has a pretty strong chemical odorDelivery was prompt and on time. But the item itself has a weird chemical smell coming off it - maybe from the paint. Usually after paint dries, the chemical smell goes away. So I'm thinking that this smell will not go away. I am leaving the windows open while I sleep to air out the room. This is the risk of buying stuff online, I guess. The Item I bought was the 5-panel white 5' tall divider. It looks good, but the smell is noxious and probably not good to breathe.2Looks nice and does the job!Shipped faster than the expected delivery! This does exactly what I need it to, discreetly hide the litter box in an apartment. The walnut color was a warm medium tone, I put a black t-shirt on it to show the color in my photo. I like the double hinge, so I can bend it the way I want. This is light weight and easy to move around. It won't fall over easily, but animals and children could still knock it over. Mine weights 7lbs. There are only three defects: one of the lattice is bent, some of the lattice still needed to be refined and sanded down, and it's only 58.7 inches tall. Personally, none of these bother me. I flipped it so the bent lattice is not at the top, I took sand paper to the hanging wood shavings, and my divider is hiding something that is on the floor (so height is not a concern). I would recommend this product to others.4Great Room Divider!My 4-panel "window pane" room divider arrived yesterday, and it's just what I wanted -- perfect. I chose the honey finish -- very pretty and even matches some of my free-standing shelf units. I use my "great room" as an all-purpose room, as I live alone and don't need to keep things formal around here. I watch tv, exercise, play my recorded music, practice guitar, and do my computering in this room, so things can get messy at times. I set up the screen so that someone coming to the front door cannot see my small computer table, shelves with various computer wires and other gear, and the tv and wires. Not only that, I feel more secure sitting here typing with my back to the front door. The shade is stable on carpet, which I worried about, but would be even better on hardwood or other hard surfaces. I don't think this screen would be a good idea if you had unruly kids knocking things over or mischievous pets. I have two shelties, but they are not destructive and will not bother the screen.One reviewer said the packing box his screen came in was punctured or ripped, damaging the screen. Well, the box my screen came in had a small gash in it which worried me when I saw it, but have no fear -- the styrofoam packaging protected the frame perfectly. The box was in good enough condition that I taped it all back up with the packing materials inside to be stored in my attic for use in case I move; the screen would need protection, so very happy I could save the box.Another reviewer said she liked the soft glow of light that shows through the screen at night, and I also like that - looks very cozy.I think these screens are a great solution to a myriad of problems around the house, and I wish I had considered one a lot earlier than I did. They are useful in hiding small workspaces or hobby areas. Another use would be at a window in lieu of a permanent window covering for people who just don't like drapes, curtains, shades, or blinds. Another possible use in my house would be at the entry point of a small hallway that leads to the guest bathroom and bedroom when I have overnight company -- the guests would probably feel more comfortable having the extra privacy, and I would feel more comfortable too.Yet another use for these screens is as a backdrop for a collection of plants or collectibles -- with background lighting, you could create quite an attractive display.Bottom line: this is a quality screen, made well, and I love mine. I'm glad I ordered the honey finish, as I think "natural" or white would look too plain, at least in my house.5Beautiful and usefulWe are using this Japanese-style shoji screen to hide a computer desk and floor lamp in one corner of our living room. The screen does exactly that, and makes our living room much more attractive. Now the computer equipment is not visible to people sitting in the living room or coming in the front door. This screen looks beautiful in our living room. It is well made and the color of the wood (honey) matches our hardwood floor. The brass hinges are attractive. With the panels bent as in the photo above, the screen is even more beautiful to look at. At night, when a floor lamp is on that the screen is covering, the screen becomes a very large Japanese lantern. This is a benefit I didn't expect. As others have noted, a couple of the gaps between panels are a little wide. However, this does not matter to us. The seller packed the screen very thoroughly: corner braces of pressed cardboard, an inner corrugated box, and an outer corrugated box. The screen arrived in perfect shape.5Not like what is picturedThey don't show the back, which doesn't have the small wooden squares. The back just looks like fabric interfacing glued onto a frame. They were also very flimsy and seemed like they would break soon. I returned mine.2Nice looking and does a exactly what we want - keep the dogs from seeing out doorthis looks nice and is easy to move - I seems well built and finished ( we chose black wood) folded it takes up little space and when opened shields the dogs from seeing neighbors walking in the street - it elicited much barking inside the house.5It's perfectJust what I wanted for my laundry room. It hides the ugly hot water heater and pipes AND my cat's litter box is also behind the screen!5Love This Soji ScreenI bought this soji screen for a workspace divider at work and I've received many compliments! In fact, since I bought this space divider, 2 other employees have purchased one just like it! And, the 5 ft high divider is the perfect height for the office! (although I had to look around to find it). I brought in a couple of small heavy objects (split decorative rock) and placed at the bottom to enhance stability of the divider on the office carpet, which works well. Too, I thought of purchasing a divider stand, but felt it was too costly. If you don't stretch the divider out straight, and anchor with a couple of small heavy objects for stability, you'll be fine. Highly recommend.5
