    Love Oreck cleaning ability to suck up dirt and cat ...Love Oreck cleaning ability to suck up dirt and cat hair from thick wool area rugs, with auto adjustment to clean hardwood floors. My only complaint is that it's noisy, but what vaccumn is ever quiet? I bought the Oreck to replace a 2 year Dyson. To clean a Dyson plugged up hose, I first had to remove the botton, using a tiny computer size screwdriver (which took more than an hour).I was also instructed by Dyson cs to use a wire coat hanger to clear the hose, big mistake because it poked a hole through the plastic, hence the service repair which means a UPS drop off and at least a 10 day wait. The Oreck requires no tiny screwdriver's to open the machine, and/or clean 3 additional filters that require a tiny screwdriver.Oreck cleaning bags are large, easy to order online replacement parts (no UPS shipping just for a clogged hose). This is why I love Oreck! 5These bags rip at the top with only one use!These bags rip at the top with very little use. I bought this huge package of replacement bags for my Oreck commercial XL vacuum and these bags are junk. They rip at the top and you not only have to pull out the ripped bag, but you also have to vacuum out the outer cloth bag as the dust/dirt from the ripped hole settles into the outer bag. I'm not sure if there is an adhesive issue or maybe there should be an expiration date for bag use. The unused bags should still be good when kept in their sealed outer plastic bag which is what I did. I'm not thrilled with the performance of these bags at all and cannot recommend them. I wish I took photos of the biggest mess when I first found the first bag that had ripped. The attached photo shows a bag that was used once. 1For Oreck XL UprightsMy photos of former packaging/bag (left) along side the new bag (right), shows that the new bags will fIt the following Oreck XL Upright Models: XL100, XL200, XL888, XL988. XL2000, XL5000. XL5300, XL8000, XL8300, XL9000, XL9100, XL9200, XL9300, XL9400, XL9800 and Commercial Series. I happen to have an XL9100C and the new bags are and exact fit. 5Um well they are vaccum bags.Used them for about a month each then tossed them into the trash. So I guess they are perfect. I can not get too excited about a vacuum bag unless you don't have any. These are OEM Oreck bags so you know they work. If you need them order them if you don't need them order them anyway because you'll need them in the future. Unless you don't have an Oreck. In which case I'm confused as to why you're reading reviews on these bags. 5Bags ripI don't know if I got a bum lot, or fakes or what but every bag tears after moderately full, like 1/3. Tears right at the cardboard. Paper either pulls away from cardboard or pulls and tears. Makes a huge mess in the bag. Not just one, but most of them. I have to constantly open the outer bag to monitor it. Defective glue, low quality paper or what. I don't know. They look real but I'm getting more convinced that I either got knockoffs or a very bad batch. I bought two packs, so I'm in for a long haul. I don't normally leave bad reviews but I have to say, you roll the dice on these bags. 1These did not fit my Oreck XL. I don't ...These did not fit my Oreck XL. I don't understand why but these bags say they fat XL models without bag docks. Apparently my XL has a bag dock. Who knew there were so many different types of Oreck XL. So if your vacuum has a thing that pulls out where your supposed to slide the back in and then close/snap it into place then these WILL NOT fit. They just have a tiny adapter that you just press into your vacuum and it does not fit mine. 3Simple to install, large capacity paper vacuum bags for Oreck uprightsThese Oreck bags are great! We picked up the 25 pack about three years ago for our 2000 series Oreck upright and still have a bunch left. They last a while for home use and simply install on the plastic bag tube (on the top) inside the vacuum. These are the standard bags and as a result, suction is pretty good. I live in a house where allergies are a concern and these have been sufficient in that regard. Oreck sells a HEPA filter bag that I feel sacrifices a bit in suction power due to the less breathability of the HEPA material. These are good bags that last a while and are simple to use for a great price. 5AVOID PURCHASING DONT BE FOOLED BY LOW PRICEDefective Bags OR Fake Bags 100%, look at pictures. Bags will break open from the top part and you ll have a HUGE MESS to clean up. Avoid these bags or you might as well just throw your money to the trash or burn it. I have contacted Amazon asking them what s going on with quality control but I think they are way too big to be able to do that. 1Either my new Oreck works too well or these aren't glued right!After a few vacuumings these bags blow their top! Our cleaning person at work, loves the vacuum but tells me the bags come apart and then the dust and dirt go everywhere causing her to have to redo and clean up the mess! Not a fluke with one bag as it has happened several times with this package of bags. We started using duct tape on them to see if we could still use them and have to avoid throwing new bags away! It worked with the tape but I may try a regular bag vs the allergen bag next time and see if its just a fluke with the allergen bags. IDK :( Bummer!!!!! 1ORECK VACUUM BAGS EASY TO INSTALLThese bags arrived earlier than expected at far less than I would have paid at my local Oreck store. I recently purchased the vacuum, so this was the first time I changed the bag. It was so easy to do, nothing spilled from the old bag. I have since learned that the reason the bags were cheaper is that they are paper, offering just one layer of dust protection. This is okay for commercial use where you really may not care about dust particles. However, the ones offered in the Oreck store have five layers of protection, keeping the dust inside the bag. This is why they cost more. 5
