    Good enoughThese won't be getting handed down to our grandkids (we're young) but they are good enough for us to use regularly in our kitchen. For the price, you can't beat them. I checked out many different kinds online and these were the best for what you pay. 5Looks great, feels good in the hands, comes with salt and pepper!This set looks great, it feels much higher quality than those in many restaurants. For such a small item, I'm surprised at how much it makes our kitchen feel more complete. We had small 3" salt and pepper shakers before, just the basic ones you'd get for cheap at Walmart or Target. Those worked fine, but they were not really pleasing to the eye and they screamed "cheap".In stark comparison, these look high end and feel good in the hands.. I was also happily surprised that they come with salt and pepper, ready to go! My wife normally likes to get stainless steel items, but I really liked the look of these with the "window" at the bottom, so you can see exactly what you're putting into your food! Overall, I'm very glad we went with this set. 5Love fresh ground pepper!Great set. Our other Olde Thompson set was 20+ years old and still perfectly fine, but we wanted a larger set so we'd have to fill them less often. We love the adjustable pepper grinder. My son and I like it coarse, but my husband prefers a finer grind. It will last a long time. We passed our older set on for more years of use by another family. 5They look very pretty, but if you look closelyI bought this set as gifts but ended up returning them. Very disappointed since they really look nice if well made. 2Can't beat Olde Thompson for good ol' fashioned quality and workmanshipMy trusty Olde Thompson carbon steel pepper grinder I had from my first years of married life finally gave out and I wanted to try out a few others I was told were of better quality. So I went online and bought a Peugeot Paris USelect, a Cole and Mason, and this Olde Thompson grinder set. Out of the three, I keep going back to the Olde Thompson. It also happened to the the most inexpensive of the three. So you can go with the hype and buy a more expensive grinder, but from my experience, the most effective and reliable grinder happened to be the least expensive. It grinds with no issues, no halts or catches, and has a smooth mechanism. I like the acrylic window strip so I can see when the pepper is getting low and refill it. The walnut finish is very pretty. I have a modern style kitchen so the acrylic design fits in nicely too.One last thing to note - the salt shaker wasn't very good. Its very hard to shake salt out of it. I use fine baked sea salt and it doesn't sprinkle out worth a darn. But I did just buy the set because I wanted a 7.5 inch grinder, the perfect height for easy handling. 5Two StarsThey were not what expected... had to return them. :/ 2Very PleasedWe have had these for several days now. They are beautiful in person. They aren't as heavy as I thought they may be, but they feel substantial enough and I really like the acrylic area that lets you view the salt and peppercorns. The mill works smoothly so far, no problem at all like some cheaper ones. For the price, I consider them worth it. 5Bad PresentationI really love the product, its a very nice product. However, the package the item was in was damaged and torn. It also had old tape on the package which makes me think that it was used, however I ordered it as new. The package also had some sort of grain like subsdtance on it which stractched my product. Thankfuklly, I was able to wipe off most of the scratches. Although, I really like the product, I was very disappointed with it because of the package. I ordered this to be a Christmas gift. 3
