Customer Reviews

Perfect for collectors These sleeves are great! I collect Disney movies, so as you can imagine they take up quite a bit of space on the shelf. I purchased these as a way to store my movies without discarding the slipcovers, inserts and wraps. The best part is the wraps fit like a glove into the sleeves, so there's no need to bend the spines even more than they already are, (unlike the other sleeves that you can find here.) And the slipcovers can even fit overtop the sleeves, which is a plus as well. If you're looking for a way to "downsize" your DVD collection whithout trashing anything, this is the best solution.5DVD SleevesI bought these to decrease the amount of space my dvd collection takes up. The front of the sleeve holds two dvds and the back allows you to slip in the dvd cover. The reason i am taking one star off is because of the quality. The dvd spots dont hold the dvd in place, they slip around a lot. And the back, you dont get to see much of the cover. Otherwise, they do their job.4Perfect for my Use CaseI wanted to reduce the footprint of my movie collection without having to just get rid of everything. These nicely allow me to slip the DVD cover in the front and store a few DVDs. Now they fit nicely in a container on my shelf. It's a nice alternative to just throwing everything in a binder.Additionally I found that they work just as well for old CD-ROM games. I couldn't bring myself to part with some of my old games, but these can hold a manual/front cover as well as a couple cds.5Exactly what I was looking for! These are great media sleeves. I used to use the clear plastic atlantic ones with a 'slide in/slide out' piece for the discs. Those looked nice but these have a softer material against the disc to minimize or prevent scratches. The Atlantic ones have a little flip cover so the discs do not slip ouot easily. These black ones hold the disc in but it is not taut enough on its own to keep the disc from sliding out if inverted or 'flicked' around. Some of my discs that have additional stuff like behind the scenes booklets or collectors info help keep the disc in tighter. They will be sitting in a box vertically so not a problem for me but just fyi,The size is perfect. The full cover and spine fit perfectly. The cardboard type fit well. (I did have to cut the spines off of those to fit) For the price, you can't beat these! I like simple but effective and these are that type of product. We might do this for our kids' games too. We are putting the movies in either a crate or decorative box like many others have. Now what to do with all these empty boxes?5Great space saver! These are perfect for space saving! I love that they have room for the full cover art and only needs to be folded along the crease that is already there. Has room for two discs in each pouch and the back is soft so the discs wont get scratched. They are not a super durable material but serves my purpose just fine. We have all our movies and video games in two small drawers of our entertainment stand instead of five large drawers and a DVD holder.5Good quality sleeves that won't make you fold DVD cover spines.Very pleased with these DVD sleeves! I recently picked up a bunch of stuff that I'd had in a storage unit and was slightly surprised to realize just how many DVDs I have. I don't really have the room (nor the desire) to dedicate massive shelf space to store my collection, so I opted to go with the sleeve method that's so popular on DIY blogs nowadays. I greatly overestimated how many I would need, so I'd recommend actually counting your DVDs before purchasing (Oops!).My only complaint with the sleeves was that all of them were difficult to open (almost like they were "sealed"). I resolved this by using a butter knife (didn't need anything crazy sharp) and running the "blade" across the top of the sleeve, sideways (kinda hard to describe, but make a cross shape with the knife against the top and just run it across). It was a HUGE pain in the butt to do this over and over for every sleeve, but it did work so there's that. I went with these sleeves because I didn't want to fold the DVD cover art down the middle, which worked well. They're sturdy enough to hold the discs and art quite well and, despite the annoyance with getting them open (for which I've docked them a star), overall they're a good value. I was able to condense an entire black garbage bag of cases down to one small basket of sleeves.4Wonderful capacity and quality. Finally I found these fantastic disk holders, which have a two disk capacity.I don't know why so many manufacturers only make single disk holders. Many movies these days come with 2 or even 3 disks: Blu-Ray, DVD, bonus features, director's cut. And I prefer to put sequels together if they're each single disk. They just take less space that way. Then there are multiple disk box sets. I don't leave disks on those spindle holders because either they stress the disk and perhaps crack it (I even had a Windows software disk that was cracked!). Or they are so loose the disk comes loose and gets scratched. That happens a lot.So I prefer to take out all DVDs and box sets to store them in binders. It's kept my large movie and tv collection to a minimum space on shelves.I could wish these pages were a little thicker plastic, but they are a nice quality as is, so I went ahead and hole-punched one packet already for half-size binders.I bought five packets, and I hope that lasts me a good, long while. :-)Update/Clarification:I am absolutely delighted with these cases. They have been holding up just great; no tears etc.5Very happy!I love these. I did do a lot of research. I tired a different product that was also plastic and had these bumps that did indeed scratch the disks. I'm sure the disc would still play, but it's not how I want to preserve my dvd collection. These have a soft backing that protects the disc and I like that. I like that I can still display the cover art, but the downside is that you can't see the back like you would a dvd case. You can still pull it out of the sleeve if you truly want to see it, but it's somewhat a hassle. The other issue you need to be careful of is how you carry these. You don't want to swing them around or tilt them upside down unless you have a good hold on the them. If you have only one dics in the sleeve, it leaves the sleeve rather loose and the disc will move around and will fall out. I've only had one fall out on me, but that was because I wasn't being careful.I think these are very good, they still allow me to see the cover art, they can hold up to 2 dvds (I did have some that had 3 dvds and I would just slip the 3rd dvd behind the cover art so it still had the soft backing and remained with the set), they save space, seem to hold up, and are easy to sort through to find what you are looking far. Blue ray cover art will not fill the sleeve like a regular dvd's cover art. If you have the old dvd cases that has cardboard cover art, you can still put them in the sleeves, but you will have to cut the front cover just enough to make it work. So if you decide to revert back to the case, these will be ruined. You need several of these to make them stand up right or they will slip and bend a little.I first ordered 1 set (50) to try and loved them. I ordered 4 more sets (200) and almost finished converting my collection. I have recently ordered 2 more sets (100) to try and finish my collection. The only thing I have left to decide what to do with are my TV collections, which will probably stay as is.Although this product has room for improvement, this product is still very good and the price is right. It does what I need it to do and if I ever decide I don't like it, well I kept their cases. :)4Perfect Space Saving Solution!I love these sleeves! Our DVD/Blu-Ray collection is over 500 strong. We've been looking for a way to minimize the space the collection takes up for a while. These sleeves were the perfect solution. You can keep the cover art and there are spaces for two discs on the back side. Our enormous collection is down to three 13x13 boxes, with approximately 180 sleeves in each box. I couldn't be happier!5A huge space-saver, a perfectly simple well-designed productI switched from huge pieces of furniture and DVDs in cases to about 200 of these puppies in an ottoman and I couldn't be more satisfied. Saves so much space and you can shove so much in there. I put 3 disks and 3 artworks in one and it has not burst on me. I made my own simple card paper dividers to separate them alphabetically. No regrets.5
