    REALLY SMALL hole when open. Looks good from outside and the overall feel but the inside diameter of this valve is REALLY SMALL(1/4" drill BARELY goes in it, 5/16 won't). why would this one be so much more restrictive than the same brand's 4way valve. 1Best hose shutoff that I've owned I love how user friendly this shutoff is. The lever is super easy to turn, the female side can be screwed onto the hose by hand, and from what I can tell it's quite durable. Another nice feature is how nicely the water flows out the when nothing's attached to the other end. When partially open the valve, the water comes out in a straight and somewhat softened stream unlike other quarter turn shutoffs which shoot out a fast stream usually at an angle. This is useful for filling watering cans.Another reviewer complained about the threaded tip breaking easily but I don't predict that happening since it's completely metal. So either the product was improved in the past year or they were really abusing this product.So impressed I bought two more to finish off all my garden hoses.BTW, the product picture is a little inaccurate since it doesn't show the male threaded tip for whatever reason. 5Fragile These things break, I ordered 2 of them and within a month both had broken. Does not take much, drop it on the ground while connected to a hose, or just twist it wrong and it brakes at the end where the nozzle is attached. The hose end is strong but the other end brakes off. I have 2 and they are wonderful! I've used them extensively in a very large garden for nearly 8 years.I find it difficult to use the shutoffs with the little tiny lever when wearing gloves & since I always wear gloves while gardening this shutoff makes doing the watering chores much more pleasant. 5Great product for delicate hands We have many hose outlets feeding seven sprinklers on our property. My wife has to turn on and off several times a day and with the type found at Lowes and other hardware outlets, she had to carry around pliers or a wrench to do so. These devices have her job so much easier and eliminated her sore hands, and all at a price comparable to other valves. 5Easy to use and a time saver. My hose end sprayers work fine when it comes to spraying, but the mechanisms that shut the water off usually fails after only one year. The Nelson 850304-1001 Rezimar Single Outlet Hose Adapter has taken care of that problem. The close off valve is really easy to move to turn the water to the sprayer off and on. Additionally, it is very convenient when I want to move the hose from the drip hose in one garden to the one in the other garden - no extra steps to the faucet to turn the water off and then again to turn it on. This may not sound like much, but for a busy gardener on a really hot day, it is wonderful. I liked my first Nelson 850304-1001 Rezimar Single Outlet Hose Adapter, so much I bought one for our other hose. It has really made my life easier! 5
