    Love it, does what it should, and does it very well. Has an adjustment to set the distance for the holes it makes. I use to use one of these metal punches when i use t work with my uncle as a kid. We used it to punch holes in the edges of aluminum storm windows, so they could be screwed to the cover the regular window on the home. I bought it to punch holes into some 4" wide, 10 foot long heavy gauge steel, uses to cover the gap between a porch roof, where it joins the main roof. It punched holes effortlessly, and has a lot of different size holes it can punch. Very well made, you will never need to buy another of these, unless someone takes this from you. 5... stud 18 ga and can do the work faily easy. I wish the handles a little longer for ... Tried to punch holes on a light gage stud 18 ga and can do the work faily easy. I wish the handles a little longer for better laverage.Did not try to use it on 16 gage material yet, but since it will be easy to use a self tapper screw instead for my particular use 4Works Great I'm recreating the aviators desk from RH so ordered this punch to make 3/16" holes in two layers of 24 gauge zinc sheet metal and it punches thru with the squeeze from one hand!Only suggestion I could add to the product is some springs to recoil the handle back open for you but not a big deal for what I'm using it for currently. 5A real solidly made tool Works fine on thinner gauge back-saw plates. Not strong enough for larger carpentry panel saws but if you're restoring, making or re-handling a gents saw, dovetail saw or other back saw used for furniture joinery, this does a great job. Dies have a small point which easily finds the dimple left from using a machinist's transfer punch to mark handle screw locations. Reach is about two inches which should be enough for most back saws. Raises no burr and leaves the plate perfectly flat. I recommend always using a little light oil on the die and this sturdy tool should last a lifetime. The Neiko punch is a quality tool, not your usual imported junk. 5Metal hole punch I've been using this tool for about four months. It is a solid piece of work. You are not going to knock any holes in anything more than 20 gauge sheet metal with any kind of comfort, quickness or ease. I use this tool to punch holes in 28 gauge sheet metal dog tags for the local sports team I support. It works well for that.PROs- Love the available size hole punch sets, love the quick change between sizes. I use two sizes every time and the change is quick and easy. The female die, male die, and handle attachments are hand (finger) adjustable. Really like this tool for what I bought it for- punching holes in thin gauge sheet metal. Does a great job in a variety of sizes. price is great. Tools works well. Die change is very easy. The case is functional and supports changing dies and sizes. Highly recommend. Index points on dies help ensure holes go where you want them. You can adjust the female die to create knock-outs, hanging chads, and clean holes. The mechanical advantage of the tool makes punching holes in thin gauge metal easy. Punching holes with one hand is easy. that's good because keeping things on target and aligned is tricky; not difficult, just tricky and requires practice. It still takes two hands to open the tool and clear punched metal. The main point here is the tool's design facilitates freeing your project as well as it does punching the hole.CONs- very worthless, not sure why it's included, afterthought of a screw driver. Really?????? I mean, why bother if the worthless piece of tinfoil is all you can do? You don't need this thing. It really doesn't detract from the function of the tool. However, it is listed as a selling component and isn't worth shipping costs to include. I think they had to go out of their way to find a metal as soft and pliable as the type they are using. Don't breath too hard or you'll bend it. I think holding it in your hand too long softens it up. Very minor point but, disappointing none the less. 5amazingly clean holes and so much easier than I expected it to be! I put off ordering this tool for a LONG time because I couldn't find answers to how thick of a metal and what types of metals it would punch through. I finally decided to get it to punch holes in aluminum discs for making stamped jewelry.It cuts through 12 gauge aluminum like a hot knife through butter, punches holes in pennies with little effort and puts a hole in thin brass (18 gauge-ish) no problem.The most amazing thing is how perfectly clean the holes are. there are no burrs whatsoever. The holes are even cleaner than the professional hole cut in the blank when I got the blanksIt even cuts clean holes in pennies!The only thing I wish it did do is punch holes in thin stainless steel. 5Would buy again! Saves me a lot of time! Great for heavy use. I am an armourer who makes battle ready plate armour from heavy 16 gauge steel, so I do a lot of drilling and have destroyed many drillbits. This is the best hole punch on the market, turns 20 minutes jobs into 30 seconds. Holes punched are clean, no more clean up after drilling! The punch has a real weight to it and feels sturdy, not cheap. The tool was in pristine condition and well oiled.Punching through 16 gauge is impossible by hand, but if you clamp your workpiece down in a vice and and use a solid bench or anvil as support, it punches through with no problem. Use a pipe on the handle for more leverage, works much easier. Punching multiple holes together to make a slot works flawlessly and it can even deburr.The punch is about 2 inches deep, which means I will still use a drill for anything deeper than that, but for 90% of my needs, the punch will be used. Saves me a lot of time and really cuts down on noise compared to a drill. Once you get a bit of practice this punch is so much faster and more efficient than a drill. I'm kicking myself for not buying one sooner. 53/32 punch and die missing No way that I see to contact you. Ordered this, sent without the 3/32 punch and die component. Sent it back for a replacement. Same thing! Size missing again! The main reason we purchased this was for the smaller punches. We needed this yesterday not tomorrow!!! Very disappointed! We have a business and need it NOW!Update: issue was resolved. I use this punch set allot. Totally love it. Glad I purchased it. Hoping it continues to do the job needed. 4Taiwanese made. Good quality. This set is much, much better than the set I ordered through Grizzly (made in China.) This set is made in Taiwan and while the Grizzly and Neiko are virtually identical in design and the Grizzly set "looks" as sturdy and well made, it is not. The Neiko is far superior in fit and function. PS - this is not an indictment of Grizzly or Chinese products in general - but in this case, there is no comparison. 5good price and well made Price was very good. The casting for the tool and quality build is excellent, what you would expect form a Taiwanese company. I was able to punch 16 gauge .070 metal galv. sheet metal. I did have to use the edge of a table and bear into the tool to gradually punch through the clip. it took a lot of grunt power, but the tool didn't flinch it powered through. The stop that sets the depth is not particularly good, but it will work. The case is good and the female die on the bottom is a bit loose. I think you could wrap around a little teflon tape around the bottom die to make it more secure. I was tossed between the four star and five star. But with the price so affordable and shipping fast it gets 5 star. I haven't used the tool much but i am fairly impressed and i think with casual use it will last a long time. If you were a professional and wanted to use it everyday, for hours on sheet metal, you might opt for the Roper Whitney, but is is really hard to fault this tool which is nearly an exact copy of the RW 5 Jr for less than half price. The dies seem to be quite good. I have used the 1/4" and 1/8" die set. The smaller size punches cut through the metal like butter. I will get back to the review in a few weeks after i have used the tool for more than a few times. Only had the tool for around 10 days. this tool is nearly an exct copy of the RW, their 50 year old patent has expired, so the negative reviews are probably from Roper Whitney? 5
