    Gets stuck in open position, move on. This latch is priced fairly however, it gets stuck open at least half of the time you open the door. The moving clasp gets caught up inside the housing and you need a pair of needlenose pliers to pull it out (which even then is not easy.) When this clasp gets stuck the lock is useless because the clasp isn t in the position to hold the door shut. I will need to purchase another brand to comply with zoning. I can t risk having an open door when I have an inground pool in my back yard. 2Price and quality make this a terrific buy. We used this latch on a Westbury gate and 4x4 post. Installation was extremely easy with little chance for error. The instructions were detailed and every installation part was included in the package. I believe I had it installed in less than 15 minutes.The latch closes tightly without issue, has a slim enough profile to not cause issues with the gate, deck/drink railing or posts and is easy to open. We don t use the key feature, but I did test it to ensure it works. Overall, I d recommend this latch for pets and kids. 5I'm sure its not the first time I'll buy one I bought this because the first set installed by the fence installer broke in a not so stiff wind. These suffer from design and material weaknesses. Clearly the peg that attaches to the door will suffer stress at the screw holes as the gate closes. The material is not strong enough to hold-up to the stress and the design does not account for that. 2Once I installed the latch it proved to hold up just fine. The locking mechanism seems a little loose and ... The latch leaves a little to be desired when first handling. The black pieces are made of plastic whereas the latch I was replacing (lost the key) were made of metal. Once I installed the latch it proved to hold up just fine. The locking mechanism seems a little loose and the key may bend easily, but overall it is performing the function that I need it to, which is to keep my gate locked. Overall I am satisfied for the price. 4Awesome This is the latch I have been waiting for. I ve gone through several before stumbling upon this one. Provides security on my driveway gate. Easy to use. Easy to install. 5Is NOT D&D Technologies latch! The pics all show D&D Technologies on the latch. I have used D&D Technologies patches and this is a VERY cheap knockoff of the real thing. Box was not damaged but latch was already broken on arrival and key was bent. Doesn t have any brand name on it anywhere. Hard, brittle plastic instead of the polymer that D&D Technologies uses. Would NOT recommend 1PRETTY COOL GIZMO I like this gizmo a lot. It's cool and handy and quite impressive to all my friends. Wouldn't say it's burglar proof though, can easily be overridden with a sharp hit with a hammer but nonetheless, I'm quite happy with it and highly recommend it. I'm using it on my three inch insulated panel shed/ 5Worked Well on Wrought Iron Product arrived very quickly. It took about 10-15 minutes to install and worked perfectly on my wrought iron gate / fence. I really like this product and highly recommend. 5Great if used properly. These work extremely well but use as directed. They are for gates. I used them on my shed because there are no rusting parts (hard to find something like that.) But they can latch when someone is inside and you can't get out. 5Solves problems . . . Our old gate latch was worn, and we needed to secure the gate as we have a pool. This product combines the latch and lock, and suits left-hand or right-hand gates. Comes with two keys but they can't be duplicated by a locksmith, so call the manufacturer and they'll send you another two free. Product is well-made, the only gripe - and this is specific to my application, I expect - is that the part that mounts on the gate requires more space to swing shut than the old latch did. This saw me having to chisel a groove in the block wall the gatepost is mounted on. But all in all a nice piece of kit. 5
