Unnatural AxeA great expansion for Munchkin, though if you can find the rare deluxe edition of this expansion, it comes with Flower standees for use in the game. Worth the price. As for this expansion, it is well-balanced and great as an additional play option. 5Another good option for this issue is combining it with Munchkin ...The most notable addition of this expansion is adding more high powered monsters to fight. The original has only a few monsters that are higher than lvl 15. Another good option for this issue is combining it with Munchkin Pathfinder although that would be doubling the amount of cards in play instead of just increasing by a half. Other good facts about this expansion is that it adds the orc race although I have never had that race be used as of now, so I cannot say on how it changes the game. The items/curses and other cards also flow well with the original.All in all I was told by other friends to skip this one and get some of the other expansions like steeds, but ended up getting this one because of one review I read about the extra monsters and do not regret it. The extra high lvl monsters can if used right help keep players with other classes besides wizards, since the wizard does have the very overpowering charm ability. 5Great addition to the first! New race and a new game mechanic introducedThis expansion adds 112 new cards. It gives you 2 blank door cards and 2 blank treasure cards if you want to get creative. You get the new race of orcs. There are a few items that only orcs can use. The orc does the following...Orc: bonus#1. An orc who is hit with a curse can always choose to ignore the curse and lose a level instead - unless hes already at level 1.Bonus #2 when an orc fighting alone defeats a monster by more than 10, he goes up an extra level.There is another mechanic too. Item enhancers. These cards are to be played on an item you already have in play; they cannot be played by themselves.Other then that there is a good spread of items, curses, monsters, and boons to add to your munchkin deck. Please note this is an expansion and not a standalone deck. 5Good gameOur family has many games nights with just us or with friends included. We purchased Munchkin and it has become a staple game as its our favorite. You can be different classes and use curses on other players. You can as well fight monsters and use things to help you, then gain treasures if you win. The more points you have from treasures and items the better your chances of winning against hight level monsters. But there's always the chance someone will curse you. It's just an all around fun game once you learn it. It's not hard to learn either and I'm horrible with strategy or role play games haha. 5... Munchkin game and these cards definitely add to the fun. Our 11-year-old boy especially loves this gameOur family loves the original Munchkin game and these cards definitely add to the fun. Our 11-year-old boy especially loves this game, and our 13-year-old also likes it, although our 6-year-old gets bored after a couple of rounds. We bought the Muchkin2 and Munchkin3 expansion packs together and immediately added them to the cards in the original box, so I'm not sure which cards were in 2 and which were in 3. However, there are a couple of cards, like the Gnome, that seem over-powered, and there are a lot more curses. But they definitely add variety and fun! 5A nice addition, changes gameplay a tad...Lots of fun to add to your basic Munchkin set. It does seem to change the gameplay slightly. There seem to be more monsters here, and in many cases the higher level monsters will pursue you even if you're a low level character, unlike most of the high level monsters in the basic game set. Still, the expanded collection of items, item modifiers, monsters, and a new class, make this a nice expansion to the basic game set. 4Unnatural Axe chops the other expansions to piecesThis is the first expansion for the Munchkin game. It adds the Orcs race and many new pieces of equipment and monsters. The creativity of the jokes in this expansion equals or exceeds the humor in the original and is highly entertaining. I have played with several other expansions and this has the majority of my favorite cards. The expansion also comes with several blank cards so you can make some quirky items or monsters of your own. There isn't really anything negative I can say about this set and find that it keeps the game fresh and fun to play for all. 5Nice Little ExpansionCompared to the value of the original game, this expansion is definitely at a loss, but that is fairly common amongst expansions. Their value never holds up to the original. With the original, you get a full deck, characters, and a board. This is just a small deck of cards.That being said, if you have played the crap out of your base game, get this. Adding in new cards, modifiers, and classes changes the game. Buying a new expansion every once in a while will keep your Munchkin game fresh and relevant on Game Night. Highly recommend for vets of the base game! 5Worth the moneyGames like Munchkin can cost a lot when you factor in how much each expansion costs, but you luckily don't need every expansion in order to enjoy the game. I have the main set along with the first two expansions (unnatural axe and clerical errors), and the huge number of cards this allows me to play with will take a very long time to get bored with before I even consider more expansions. The large variety of cards makes for a very challenging and different gameplay every time you bring this out. It is easy to learn, and makes for a great, humorous, and strategic card game. 5Cannot say enough GOOD things about this set of cardsCannot say enough GOOD things about this set of cards. We were gifted the original game at Christmas, and have just now purchased two expansion decks. We've been playing with this set + the original cards and having the best time. Now we have enough cards for the whole family to play. I did remove a couple of cards because I am THAT Mom, but it did not negatively impact the game in any way. 5
