Customer Reviews

Three Stars Comfortable, lightweight, not too warm. About as much protection as a long sleeve cotton shirt though. 3Has fit well and works well I am not a professional welder - just a garage worker, so take it for what it is worth... I have not used any other welding coats - only sleeves - but I like this jacket. Has worked well in both cold and hot environments. Was welding fence gates this weekend in 97 degree weather. Even though it was hot, I was no hotter than normal. If you are in need of sleeves, I would recommend this one... 5Works great and looks fine Works very well and fits ok. I got the extra large because I have long arms but its a bit baggy. Though I don't care because it's not a fashion show when your welding. I do like how the logo is small on it too. Makes it so you don't have a huge stiff piece on it. 5Great value, good protection, significantly lighter/cooler than full leathers I've used this for table and position MIG GMAW. The only times I've really burned through it or gotten a sting is when I'm doing overhead welding on a car, which is to be expected.Pros: - Comfortable - Good protection - Lightweight and cool (for a welding jacket) - Inexpensive - Neck collar does a good job keeping molten metal off my neck and backCons: - Slag and heavy spatter can still sting/burn through (the trade-off of the lighter/cooler weight vs full leathers) 5Excellent welding shirt, great price. Definitely get at least one size bigger than your normal size...especially if you are going to wear it on top of whatever you are wearing. Not sure why people complaint about this product. It is a very heady duty cotton shirt with some sort of flame resistant chemical added to it...similar to the uniforms military people use overseas. It works perfectly fine. Being a shirt it is meant for regular/light duty; perfect for the occasional/recreational welding project. For crazy heavy duty work, as if you make a living welding professionally everyday, you definitely need an expensive welding jacket made of leather..which this one is not!Highly recommended welding shirt. 5Very comfortable and durable These jackets are great! Very comfortable and durable. I prefer these over other brands that have to much stitching or decals all over them that feel strange. There's a pocket inside the jacket you can hold soap stone and other various items. I go threw about 3-4 of these jackets a year fluxcore and carbon arc does take their toll on them. Packing was satisfactory I mean it's just a jacket. 4No defects noted. I just got my welding shirt today. I could not be happier with it!. I would like to address some of the complaints on these reviews. This is a heavy linen shirt. It will not repel heavy sparks or splatter. I am going to have mine heavily starched Then it will offer more protection. I'm going to use it for MIG & TIG aluminum on a bench. I'm more concerned with arc burns. If you are going to use 6010 rods on an overhead weld you will need leather! Extra large is extra large. I wear extra large and this fit perfectly. It does not smell bad. It has no smell. The snaps are tight. Hold the shirt close to the snaps and it will come right apart. Snapping them back is easy. There you have it. I'm going to order another one. 5and I'd probably be complaining about it being poor quality if it was a lighter fabric Why are these things always so hot?? Other than that, and I'd probably be complaining about it being poor quality if it was a lighter fabric, it does ok. I wish it didn't have the velcro strap at top... so I made that wish come true ;) snip.... now it's not rubbing around so much on the chin. Shows no signs of wear and the snaps are as snappy today as the day I bought it, and I wear it regularly. 3Really nice jacket. Durable and not too heavy Really nice jacket. Durable and not too heavy. Based on other reviews that stated the arms were short or that it fit snug, I opted to buy the XL. I normally wear a size large but the XL fits just right. Do yourself a favor and size up. 5Lightweight welders jacket Very thin jacket, but works well for welding and grinding to keep sparks off my normal clothes. I have long arms but the jacket arms are relatively long and when used with welding gloves, my skin isn't exposed at all. Jacket folds up very small so it's good to take with you on the road. I am able to fit it inside my welding mask which protects the mask a bit and gives me a place to keep the jacket.Jacket is comfortable and I ordered up a size on purpose to give me a little more room to move around and it's been perfect, not too baggy at all. Jacket seems well made, no stitching coming loose or poor workmanship like I've seen on other lower quality welding jackets. Good option if you want more movement than a leather apron, may not be enough protection for big welding jobs but I'm just using this for small stick welding in my garage so it's been great. Looks a lot like a normal jacket so it could be good if you need to weld but also interface with customers/clients without removing a big apron. 5
