    Stitching on fingers comes apart within the first few weeks of use I have bought many pairs of this glove over the past 6 months. Not sure if anyone else is having issues with the finger stitching separating or not? Out of the 10 pairs that I have, at least 5-6 of these have stitching separating and it leaves a hole the size of a nickel. It's pretty frustrating knowing that such an awesome pair of gloves has this problem. I am guessing that it's because of the "thinness" of the material, that it does this? I work in the HOT desert of Las Vegas, and work on aircraft, so having gloves is a must have during the summer heat. These gloves work well with protecting my hands when touching metal parts, airplane surfaces, or tools. I may look into buying a different glove, since I'm buying 2 pairs every month or two, just to have one with no holes. I only hand wash these in a bucket, and never wash them in a washing machine. Just not wanting the agitator in the machine to make the stitching come apart more. Seems to work good for me. 2This new revision of the FastFit is of lower quality than past versions. These are a different design than the same model glove i bought a year or two ago. The first thing i noticed is these are thicker in many parts, which exactly negates the reason i bought these gloves in the first place. I also have other more protective Mechanix and those are good for those jobs. I really wanted the same high dexterity low profile glove, but that doesn't appear to exist anymore. Also, after only a few uses some stitching is already becoming loose. 2Great Gloves I'm an old retired mechanic. These gloves are perfect for me. I like that they absorb the shock of the various air tools, and I also feel safer knowing I will not be 'busting' my knuckles, if a wrench slips. Unless a job is very greasy\oily, I prefer these gloves over the rubber gloves. I'm probably only one of the few that actually washes their gloves. After they get dirty, I wash them. It takes several washes, but they eventually come out very clean. 5Poor quality We have been buying these gloves for several years. The last two orders that we received had all of the same markings, etc. but the material has changed. Used to be able to wash and reuse these gloves several times but the material is now so cheap that I go through a pair about every day. The gloves are more cheaply made but the price is the same.I have attached pictures of brand new glove that I wore for approximately 10 minutes. Shut the hood of a card and the material ripped. 1Good quality gloves to work on your toys. Good quality gloves to work on your toys. Saved my fingers from cuts and bruises so many times. Used FastFit Gloves for a few small to medium tasks like replacement of brake pads, shocks and struts,rack and pinion assembly, multiple oil changes and some others. For oil changes though i would recommend to use disposable "rubbers", cause this ones soak up oil easily and then leave oily marks on your hands and everything you touch. But if you still decide to do oil change using this gloves it is pretty easy to wash them. I put them in a bucket with a little bit of water and a good amount of degreaser. After multiple wash cycles with heavy chemicals and moderate use on multiple projects no fading or structural damage is noticed. 5Best Work Gloves For Garden and Yard Work! Excellent quality and really durable. My first pair is still going strong after 10 years. Pictured are my new gloves after 1 year of use. I ordered a second pair, because the fist pair is starting to show signs of wear - mostly small holes in the fingers from the garden trimmer. The tips of all my gloves get worn out from restringing my edge trimmer - it's just one of those thing that is unavoidable. But Mechanix gloves do last the longest, because they are really good at resisting rips and tears. I guess one could say they have a higher wear and tear factor..I mostly use for yard work and these gloves do protect form rose thorns better than most gloves. Thick leather gloves always work best, but are always too stiff and never really last a full season. Mechanix gloves are soft and comfortable to ware. I love how they fit and use for everything I would consider outside work - including taking out the garbage. Once more, the medium fast-fit are a great fit and provide all day comfort. What's not to like and clean up is a breeze. I just wash with my regular work cloths and they come out like new most of the time.All in all, great purchase - awesome gloves. I will not use anything else... 5Comfortable but NOT durable If you want durability, these gloves are NOT for you. Please look at the attached picture of the gloves after 3 months of light use. Big holes appear at the finger tips. I only use them for about 15 hours a week. Nothing serious, just holding nails/screws, putting cable ties on, etc. I guess it is related to the material at the finger tips which is like spandex. 2Great Brand as Always These gloves are very nice. I also bought and reviewed the Material4X FastFit made by Mehcanix. My review is similar, the only difference will be that these gloves aren't as thick as the 4X (Obviously). I also own a pair of the original Mechanix gloves, and these feel thicker and the materials are a little different. Both very durable though. I have not put either these or the 4X through any significant wear and tear yet. I have used these for when I am burning designs into the wood. I accidentally grabbed a bit of the burning tool but my hands were completely protected. The glove did almost melt down a bit or got a little shiny where I burnt them (See Attached Photo) but as far as I can tell the gloves are not significantly damaged other than the visual shine. As I stated with the 4X glove review, these fit very nicely if you follow the sizing chart. My only issue is that the wrist feels a little loose but has never come off. For peace of mind, I wish the wrist was tighter. For that reason only, I gave these a 4 star. I would still recommend them to anyone who works with their hands looking for nice gloves. 4Tactile and great protection I use these for shooting and light work (moving wooden targets around, steel etc.)They go on and off quickly and offer great tactility. I shoot with these which is normally very difficult with gloves, but these are perfect.The suede also has a fantastic ability to remain clean-ish, I've gotten paint and dust on them, but simply clapping them together gets a LOT of the crap off them. 5Mechanic fast fit gloves, good protection considering how great finger dexterity is. I love these gloves for shooting sports and hunting when finger dexterity is important. Easy on and off. They are great for work/chores but they will wear just as quickly as cheap rubber coated gloves. I can buy cheap rubber coated gloves for bout $1 a pair in bulk packs so I save these fast fits for when being real precise with fingers is key. Example would be manipulating all shotgun, pistol and semi auto rifle functions. Not to mention loading mags. Enjoy 5
