I bought this on at the end of December and from the first it seemed to have the battery fail very quickly. We didn't use if for a few weeks because we both were sick. At the early part of February we noticed the lite fails very quickly so we timed with the older one proving that it fails very quickly. I contacted Amazon and from their email, I contacted the supplier. They have not gotten back to me yet. The light does not operate correctly so I am very upset.1It has been awesome, and I will never go back to a ...I've had this light for two years now. It gets dropped, hit, dragged, and generally abused constantly in my garage underneath cars. It has been awesome, and I will never go back to a plugin shop light again. Incredibly rugged and well-designed body, and very bright light. My only issue is that the battery finally went in it, perhaps from overcharging or baking on the charger little by little, as other reviewers have mentioned. Now when I use it, it has to be tethered. For the money, durability, and convenience though, I'd recommend to anyone.5Great re-charable light.This light was a lot lighter than I imagined, which is great since I haul it around in a tool bag. It puts off a great amount of light and holds a charge for about 5 hours. To charge, I can just take out the battery and plug it in without having the bulk of the flashlight out, or leave the battery in and just plug it in.The bottom magnet is very strong and the middle hinge holds well at all positions. Very bright light output, and love the tilt feature on the light head. Wish the magnetic base was more powerful. That weakness showed up as a problem this morning, and also brought out another problem. Had it magnetically attached to a frame rail while I was changing an engine mount through the wheel well of a pickup. My elbow bumped the light, which knocked it loose and it fell maybe 3 1/2 feet to the concrete. Now it's a pretty yellow stick which bends in the middle, and has a magnet in one end. Light is totally non-functional. Certainly not durable enough for my kind of work. Thought it was neat while it lived, but I need tough more than neat.2Great light and great customer serviceI use this light in a storage are with no electric power. This light has been great. It is bright and holds a charge for a long time. It bends in the middle so the light beam can be directed where needed, and the base has a strong magnet. I attach the light high on my metal shelving by the magnet and it lights the whole place.Ultimately, it is a device and they do sometimes fail. Mine did and I contacted the manufacturer, Gyros, in Monsey, NY. Their service was amazing. I sent in the light via USPS. They called me the next day to tell me that they would replace the light with a new one and there was a small charge for shipping.5Nice light but flickersI like this light but it flickers. It seems otherwise very well made, the magnetic base is nice for working under the hood. The only other problem I have with it is that there is no charge level indicator on the light. When you connect it to its charger the light comes on and it stays on until you disconnect the charger. So there is no way to tell if the light needs charged again or not. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE.5Perfect except charger can overcharge I've owned and used this daily for about 2 months. I'm very happy with the brightness and color temperature of the light!The directions say not to leave the light plugged in too long after it is fully charged or the battery will die. There is no charge indicator. This means that the user must pay attention to the charging time and guess the charged condition of the battery. So far, I haven't destroyed the battery but it is a pain to worry about it! 4
