We paid much more for one for her room at home and it wasn't as thick and comfortable. Love to shop on Amazon. 5Doesn t hold its shapeThis is by far the most comfortable mattress pad I ve ever laid on. I m in college and I had a 3 inch foam mattress topper before and it was awful always sliding off and had a constant dent in it from where I led. This topper has a very handy gripper at each corner that wraps around my mattress so it doesn t move. My only complaint is that it, too, has a problem of leaving an indent where I lay at night. If you look at the attached picture, you can see, even through my sheets, comforter, and blanket, the dent. It s very annoying that it doesn t hold its shape, but it is really comfortable. I Usually try to sleep around the dent but inevitably end up back in the middle of it.2Perfect over our Tempurpedic MattressWe repellent purchased a king size tempurpedic mattress. And I just love it. However, my husband who had both hips replaced found the mattress just a little too firm. Tempurpedic mattress's are pretty expensive and instead of replacing it I thought I'd give this a try.This is PERFECT! And honestly coming from someone who wouldn't give up my tempurpedic mattress for anything I am so glad we purchased this topper.It add just enough cushion that we still get the firmness of the mattress with a nice bit of fluffy padding.I want to comment on some of the negative reviews and people not knowing how to use a topper correctly.A topper goes UNDER your fitted sheet not over. Honestly people use your heads. You never place any topper over sheets. Topper goes directly on mattress and then place your sheet. I buy my sheets at Target and get the 18 inch pockets. We need the deeper pocket sheets due to the tempurpedic anyway. Topper will not move once the sheet is placed over the topper. I change my sheets every 5 or 6 days and then I take the topper off. Give it a couple of shakes to fluff it up again and then turn it the opposite way on the bed. No issues with lumps or the stuffing moving. We have a king size bed and I have no problems with taking off and fluffing due to the size of the topper. No different than a comforter.I will say that this topper will not help with a sagging mattress this is just for more pillowy comfort.I love this topper and highly recommend it.5Makes a really uncomfortable mattress feel like a really expensive mattressMakes a really uncomfortable mattress feel like a really expensive mattress. Has straps at each corner that are easy to slip over the mattress. Haven't notice any slipping of the pad at all, and the straps appear well made. It arrived on time, in a super easy to open zipper package.The good stuff:- each corner has wide elastic straps sewn in to secure it to the mattress making it very easy to put on the bed.- the bed topper doesn't move, no matter how much we do.- lots of stuffing in the baffle boxes.- there are no sharp quills to poke you in your sleep.- it's machine washableThe not so good stuff:- there is a mild "smell" to it but it's nothing a little febreze and being out of the package 24 hours didn't cure.All things considered if you want a good mattress topper at a great price this is one to put at the top of your list! 5DON'T BUY! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!If I had the option to give this product a zero or minus points, I would have surely chose that option. Sleeping on it a full night was a lot different than the 3 minute test in the store... of course it helped my husband's back which is why we got a firm mattress, but at the cost of our comfort I was not a happy camper. So I did my homework on what type of topper to use that would help the situation taking into consideration sleeping positions, size, etc. I researched many types of pads, down, down-alternative, foam, memory foam, etc. and decided to try a down alternative topper first. Then I did copious amounts of research to find the best reviews and price and finally decided on the LUCID 3 Inch High Plush Down Alternative Fiber Bed Topper, I took it out of the box and let it air out overnight before using it (only a slight odor, but probably wouldn't have been noticed with sheets over it). When I put it on the bed, I was happy to see that the fitted sheet did not flatten it out, but was still able to secure it (the bands on the topper also helped secure it to the mattress). The first night we slept on it was like heaven. It gave us the soft plushness we were missing on our new firm mattress and did not bunch up or flatten down in any areas like other products I reviewed. I've been sleeping on it for about 3 weeks now and when I change the sheets I pop it off and shake it out just to redistribute the areas that do take most of our weight and it's still just as super comfortable and plush. It also stays in place, and when I make the bed, you cannot tell there is any kind of topper on it.. it just looks soft and plushy, but still neat underneath our comforter. I also have not noticed any difference in temperature, and I tend to be a pretty hot sleeper and was concerned it might hold in more heat, but it seems to breathe well. Overall, this is an excellent topper for our needs and I look forward to getting into my bed every night because of it!5Happy...Sad!!!Have had this topper for 6 months now. Other than the flattened area under where I sleep it was nice and comfy. I am only 118 lbs. so don't see any reason why it should become flat. I have to take the sheets off and shake it to fluff the stuffing several times a week. Then I decided to wash it...I followed the instructions as I have large capacity machines and I didn't let it dry completely in dryer. It is so lumpy now I can't use it. I tried to move the stuffing around and it isn't the same.1
