    The perfect lid Perfect lid for my lodge skillet.I'm very happy!Arrived in perfect condition, since it was packaged in a very secure manner.Remember to check the markings on your lodge cast iron cookware, and you'll be sure to order the proper lids. 5This is a heavy duty glass lid that lets you watch the food as it is cooking. I bought this for my cast iron skillet but I ended up using it most often on a 10.25 inch diameter pan. It works great. It is a heavy duty lid made out of thick glass. You can see down inside the pan as the food is cooking. The lid washes up easily and looks great when clean. 5It's a Lid It's a lid, and it covers my Lodge L10SK3ASHH41B Cast Iron Skillet. However, it doesn't fit very tightly, and the pour spouts on each side of the skillet are exposed - releasing steam freely. Nevertheless, it stops splatters and does build up heat inside the pan. If you're looking for a better seal, Lodge's cast iron lid is a better shape to cover the pour spouts and its weight will keep more steam and heat inside the skillet. If that's not a concern for you, then you'll probably appreciate this lid's light weight and transparency. 4Yes, it does fit! This lid fits like a glove on my 12" Lodge cast iron skillet. Don't know why I waited so long to purchase this because it has made my skillet so much more versatile. Other reviewers have said that the lid didn't fit - I have no idea why. Another review mentioned that they would like it if the lid didn't have a plastic knob so that they could put it in the oven - if you read the care instructions that come with the lid, it says it is oven-safe to 400 degrees. No problem! 5Discontinued and faulty The GC12 is discontinued. The GC12 and the substituted lid (GL12) do not fit the Lodge P12S3 ProLogic 12-inch skillet. They also collect water in the top which can be very messy and dangerous, especially with hot oil/water. You need to keep tightening the screw. 1I think I got a defective one! The lid received must have a defect. I was using the lid cover a cast iron skilled on the stove when it suddenly shattered. The heat was on medium and there was no logical reason why it would have shattered. 1Great lid Don't get me wrong beautiful lid very nicely made. I would give the actual lid five star but the pan I purchased it for it doesn't fit perfectly it will work. And I purchased lid by the recommendation for usage from the lodge website. I guess it is the closest lid to fit the specific pan I bought and that is why they suggested It. It's better than no lid. 4Handle/hardware defective experience The threads on the inside of the handle seem to be stripped, otherwise the screw isn't long enough to seat threads properly (I doubt that). I don't know if it stripped over time or was a defective handle insert. It has fallen apart several times now, leaving me to fish hardware out of a hot skillet and my dinner. I love Lodge but this has been unfortunate after only having the item a few months. 1Great product I have an OLD cast iron "chicken fryer" skillet that I inherited from my mom. Its lid was chipped and cracked, so I was so excited when I received this and it fit perfectly! Have even run it through the dishwasher a few times (the lid NEVER the skillet that is!). It is a great product. 5Does not fit 12in pan I like the cover but it does not fit the 12inch lodge cast iron pan. It fits the 10 inch pan perfectly, but with the 12 inch, the cover sits inside the pan essentially resting on the food. I bought this because I needed one for my 12 inch pan, now I have two for my 10 inch pan. 3
