4" thick queen size. Not bad. We're keeping it. This was delivered about 4 weeks ago, so my husband and I needed to make an up/down decision as to whether to keep it or send it back. We decided to keep it, and I'm listing some of our observations.Setup: It unwrapped from the box very well, and came with some liner sheets, I guess to keep it from sticking to itself. I laid it out over the full bed in the guest room, and turned it over every day or so. It took several days to poof up but I needed to get the guest bed cleared off so went ahead and put it on our queen while it was still not quite as shown in the photo. It still was about 4" short from top to bottom. I put this topper directly over the mattress, and then put a bamboo mattress pad over it, and then fitted sheet. I guess it just needed more time because when I took off the mattress pad to check the topper today, it was fully the length of the bed and did indeed look like the photo. It was still offgassing when I put it on our bed, but I can't smell it at all anymore. I wish I had been able to wait another couple of days before I put it on the bed. I'd say to allow 5-7 days if possible before sleeping on it, to really give it time to expand and stop smelling. But the smell wasn't overly strong after 4 days, just noticeable.User Experience: Not like sleeping on a cloud. But it does seem to help our old mattress have more "give." Maybe too much, because getting out of bed is no longer only metaphorically difficult, but it can be literally difficult, too! You definitely sink into this, but it seems dense enough to provide some support, too. But climbing out of your personal "dip" after a night's sleep can be challenging. And this thing is WARM. It's fine when it's cold out, but I think that even with the bamboo mattress pad, it's going to be too hot to sleep on in the summer months. Thankfully, this is Ohio, so I'm hopeful that we'll be able to use it more than half the time. I'll edit this review later if we do need to take it off when it's warm. The house is 100 years old and doesn't have central air, so we only have a window AC in the bedroom.My husband doesn't think he has the same back/hip pain upon waking up that he did before the topper. So the topper could be helping distribute the pressure better, as advertised. I have shoulder issues, and this has helped me sleep better and not have to turn over so much, I think.Condition after use: It's been on the bed for about 3 weeks. When I took off the mattress pad to look at the topper today, I was rather expecting to see tears as mentioned in some reviews. My husband and I are both heavy. But it didn't have a single tear. The topper had finished poofing up and looked terrific. So I flipped it over, replaced the mattress pad, and remade the bed. Definitely need deep-pocket sheets (this does add 4", after all).All in all, the bed is better with it than it was without this topper. It's not life-changing, but it is an improvement. We're keeping it.Edit: September 2018. It's doing great. No rips or tears, sleeps fine even in the summer. We have a couple of mattress pads on top and that may be keeping it cooler than it would be. Looking forward to winter! 4Conforms to your body without making a permanent dent. Not like memory foam. This was perfect for what we needed. We have a very basic firm matters underneath, and purchased the 4" thick topper. You do "sink" down in to the mattress as it confirms to the position you are laying, so I suppose some may dislike this sensation. Maybe getting the 2" would not have such an extreme effect, but as for me, it offered the support I need for arthritis. It is not like the old memory foam toppers that leave a permanent dent in the position you sleep, no, as soon as you get up, it goes right back to the original shape, or if you change position in the night, it reconfirmed to your new position. Some drawbacks that are easily compensated for are that 1, it would not clean up well from liquid spills, so if you have that risk, then use a waterproof cover. 2, you may want a quality, thick mattress cover to go over it, as it is made out of materials that are "plasticy" in texture. Hard to explain, because it does "breathe" and is not hot, but if you sweat at night, then you will appreciate a good mattress cover over it. I love it and no longer have trouble getting comfortable at night because it conforms perfectly to support my body. 5No more back pain! I have a bad back and the firm mattress that used to get the job done (e.g. sleep without pain) just didn't work for me anymore. Also, my wife, as supportive as she is in opting to get whatever was/is best for my back, never really liked our super firm mattress. I had my doubts about it initially, but this 4" GMF Topper from Linenspa fixed all that!Product was packaged tightly, but fully took shape within an hour or so. The odor also dissipated relatively quickly. It took about three night's sleep to get used to it, but my wife and I both sleep wonderfully now and I wake up with ZERO back pain. Praise God! 5Hot n Cold Not happy with at all. I bought two at the same time... followed instructions as per package and opened and let expand for 24 hrs... peeling plastic off , the pad was already ripping . and smelt like a box of chemicals, understandably... smell went away after a few days. Did not realize the thickness was going to make it impossible to keep a fitted sheet on the bed. its days cooling pad... I must really be HOT!!!.. Even though they were purchased together, each pad looks same but are different. My daughters ended up being nice , cool and like feathers. while mine... was uncomfortable, Hot, and more gel like and oddest part it's difficult for anyone to roll over on it.. it conforms to your body so much, it's like rolling up hill. I ended up making mine into pads for inside my dogs bed- making possibly the Best and Most Expensive Dog Bed EVER! 1A horrible Amazon experience This mattress topper does not evenly distribute body weight. It sags in the middle. Also, it is not cooling as advertised. Very very warm to sleep on.Amazon would not issue a pickup. There is no way for me to repack this after it expanded. Im now faced with trying to expose of it. A horrible Amazon experience. Also the second Linenspa foam I ordered. Not a good quality foam. 1Cracked after 4 months used Very comfortable but not durable. See picture cracked in middle for no reasons. Plus, Iam only weight 140 lbs not that heavy. 1I am Pregnant and this is exactly what I ve been looking for! I was hesitating on getting one offline but this mattress topper is amazing. I ve had one similar for several years and it was just time to get a new one. I am 7 months pregnant and I am finally sleeping good! Last night was our first night using it and it feels like your falling into a cloud that just wraps your body in comfort. Yet it still offers support and you just sleep so good! The only issue was the smell but it s to be expected and it has faded already after one day. We laid the topper out flat to air out and to fully expand and it was ready in a few hours. We did not wait the 24 hours as I was dying to try it! Very happy with this purchase and highly recommend! 5If I could give 10 stars I would! It s been a long time since I was able to give a 5 star rating!! This mattress topper is BEYOND my expectations, and if I could give it 10 stars I would! When it came the box on the inside that held the topper was busted up, but the topper was still wrapped in the plastic and was unharmed. I was glad of that. I took it out of the box and went ahead and placed it on my mattress to let it ventilate. The paper with it said it could take up to 24 hours to take its form. But it didn t take mine but about an hour; give or take. I was very pleased with that and couldn t wait to try it out later that night. It had been the first time in a very long time that I woke up and not have my back hurting. And it was the first time I do believe that I was so comfortable that I didn t toss and turn all night! My son who is 6, said it was like laying on a cloud. Lol. I would recommend that if you are looking for support for your body and suffer from back pain like I do; then this is an item you would want to have! I love it so much (as do my kids as well) that I plan to buy them one for their beds. And also for my dad who is wheelchair bound. Okay so I was really hesitant to buy this, I spend a month checking reviews on different products and comparing different brands and customer reactions and I finally decided on this one and ...... I couldn t be happier! Came in 3 days and was a breeze to unpack and setup. It only took about 1 hour to settle and it was exactly 4 . My boyfriend was pretty hesitant, he thought but was too soft but once he woke up then next morning his opinion completely changed. He and I both got the best night sleep we ve had in a long time. I would HIGHLY recommend buying this mattress pad, not too hot and not too soft. 5Like sleeping in quicksand or a pit of jello? Then this is for you! BUT YOU CAN'T BEAT THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE! It seemed like a GREAT IDEA, at first, being able to sleep in a cloud! But the topper swallowed our bodies! The very first night! My wife and I should have responded to our fight or flight senses. After a couple of days that sinking sensation, sinking into a cloud disappeared as we fell into cavities that developed. It felt like this "cavity" sucked in my body and didn't let me move at night. Almost impossible to roll over, like climbing out of a "sink hole"! And the topper "grew" and "expanded" during the night, hanging over the edge of the mattress, creating a cornice. My wife and I discussed this "new" sleeping surface, it was like experiencing "sleeping paralysis" trying to move and finding it impossible to move because "something" was holding you, we felt glued to the topper, sucked into the surface by some phantom vacuum. When we struggled and fought the resistance and were finally able to roll over in our cautious sleep, we rolled over the curved cornice, (the lip created during the topper expansion phase of adjusting to surface of the mattress) like an overhanging mass of hardened snow at the edge of a mountain precipice that gave way with the slightest weight and onto the floor. Our bodies tumbling like an avalanche crashing onto the floor! We were thinking of installing "guard rails" but after trying and struggling to get used to sleeping in a quicksand pit, or bowl of Jello, we decided to give it up! Just imagine sleeping in a bowl of Jello and trying to move! When you reach over and press down, your hand sinks deeper into the Jello! My wife finally said ""No more experimenting and "trying" to get used to this thing"!" It takes about 30 days to develop new habits, we didn't make 14 days! Talk about being stuck in a rut, and you can't climb out of it! This is living your greatest nightmare! It was a GREAT LEARNING EXPERIENCE! But was it worth the money? NO! I can't even give it away!!!!!! But try it YOU may like it!I must admit, the customer service is super great! I received a response to my comment and was given a full refund. I don't have to return the mattress, which would be next to impossible because it would be like trying to stuff and elephant into a 1 quart Tupperware storage container. It would be easier getting a Pink Elephant back into the original Vodka bottle it came in than getting the Memory Foam Topper back into the original box IT came in. All in all I must give Linenspa a 5 STAR RATING for their customer service. The mattress topper didn't work for us, and they admit it's not for everybody. I would suggest contacting the company to get advice on which mattress to choose, It will help. 5
