They do need to be ironed out of the package, but they iron very easily with a steam iron. 5They don t absorb anything! These are pretty but don t absorb anything. They are shiny and slippery. They don t actually work to clean off your hands or face. Going back to cotton. 1Napkin! Love the quality of these napkins. The price was perfect and shipping was super fast! I haven't used them to rate the stain resistance, absorbency, or if they will be wrinkle-free after they are washed but they are Beautiful and I'm sure they will continue to be beautiful for many years to come. 5Just what I've been looking for. I've been looking for dark blue cloth napkins that are easy-care. In all the stores, I find thin napkins or some good, thick ones, all of which are way too pricey for me to justify buying the numbers I need. Imagine my surprise to find these. They're amazingly inexpensive, wash like a dream, come out the same shape and unwrinkled. I've used them twice already and have them on the table for a big dinner tomorrow. They are a slick polyester, so they don't have an interesting texture, but I am very happy with them and will order other colors when available (I need to check). 5Nice weight and fabric, large size, a pretty royal blue color. Ordered these as part of a housewarming gift for a friend, to go with some new patterned placements she bought. She was thrilled with them. She has never owned fabric napkins, so I wanted something easy for her to care for, so she would feel comfortable using them. I only needed eight, but for the price, the extras will be handy to have around. These are a large size, the fabric has a nice weight and feel, and the color is a pretty, bright royal blue. I prefer polyester napkins over cotton for my own use, because stains come out easily, they don't need ironing, and colors don't fade. You can't do fancy folds with them, but using the napkin rings I also included with her gift, there was no need for folding. 5What a great buy. Threw these in the washer and dryer ... Wow! What a great buy. Threw these in the washer and dryer and all 12 came out beautifully. No un-ravelling or pulls. No lint left in the dryer filter. Virtually wrinkle free and they are white as can be. Just took them out of the dryer, folded, smoothed and stacked. So nice to have a dozen cloth napkins for every day use, save the expensive set for those special occasions and stop wasting money on paper napkins. Very happy with this purchase 5Great color and size I ordered these napkins for a special dinner I was having. However, I ordered them too close to the dinner so I was not sure they would arrive on time. In just 2 days I had the which was great. The color was perfect, the size was good. The polyester was a little slippery to fold the napkins in a butterfly design as I wanted. I think more cotton or linen would have worked better for folding but I got it accomplished. Napkins can get stains when used for dinners, so I always order more than I need. I sprayed the used napkin stains with a stain remover, threw them into the washer and dryer and they came out clean and wrinkle free. I really like these napkins and happy to have them. I mostly appreciated the expeditious shipping. Thank you. M. Shaw 5So glad I bought them! For starters, this color (plum) was extremely hard to find, but thank God I found it and gave them a try. They are 100% cotton and they are worth every penny!!!!!! 5very disappointed. I ordered these because they were cheap and a polyester that would not stain. However, when they came they were made of a lining material that was not soft or at all suitable for a napkin. very disappointed. 1Elegant The material in these napkins is a medium heavy, fairly tight weave, definitely white polyester. They wash up nicely and retain few wrinkles if pulled out of the dryer immediately upon drying on a permanent press cycle for just a few minutes. I have yet to use them and will probably press them flat (fully open) at least the first time or two of use just to set the wrinkle free state more firmly and to press the hems a bit more. My use will be exclusively for dinner guests; otherwise I would leave them just as they came out of the packaging if using for everyday use because they have relatively few wrinkles. If you planned on doing any folding into decorative designs I seriously doubt that these napkins will work due to the polyester material which is going to resist any deep creasing with an iron - a requirement for folded designs. Plus I'm guessing that the creases you do iron into them will not be fully removed with subsequent washings and ironings. I plan on using napkin rings without any folding of the napkins. Unlike many napkins, these are a true square. I do not know how well they will/will not absorb spills. Once again, judging from the feel of the material, I'm guessing that liquids will pool more than they will absorb. Everyone's preference is different. For my purposes, I'm very happy with my purchase. 5
