    Exactly what I was looking for! Exactly what I Wanted for my 12 months old baby girl! She loves music boxes and I wanted her to have one that will be OK if it was ruined. She still touches and plays with it very gentle but it was a 'just in case' thing. She opens the lid and is happy to see the ballerina twirling and dancing. Only negative comment about this music box is on the right top lid is faded (see picture) but that is not an issue for me as this is meant to be a starter music box for her. Love it!4Music winder does not work within a month of purchaseThis jewelry box is darling. It seems to be constructed as you would expect for sturdiness. My daughter received this for her 4th bday in June and about a month later the turny thing to play the music does not work. When you turn it it sounds like it should but it doesn't do whatever it does to wind up the music so the unicorn doesnt turn nor does the music play. It's a shame but what do you do??3Great Little Jewelry Box for a Preschooler This is a perfect first jewelry box for a 3-5 year old girl. It's small, but just the right size for a little one. Needs to be handled with careful hands (not for a toddler) and perfect for teaching little girls responsibility for precious items and as a special keepsake box. I wanted to get her something unique and special. I went to a few stores but couldn t find anything for her. I decided to search on amazon and found this jewelry box. I was happy that it came gift ready. My niece was very excited and all her friends were asking for one too. I m definitely recommending this as a gift for birthdays and holidays gifts.5Adorable I was stuck between the woodland creatures with twinkle twinkle little star (one I bought) and one of the ballerina ones, more of a purple color. I was hoping for the traditional ballerina in the music box but wasn t thrilled with the song choices to it. The box is smaller than I expected but perfect for a young kid, one it doesn t take up a ton of space and two they don t have nearly as much jewelry as us adults. It's made of a heavy cardboard with metal hinges, latch, and windup mechanism. The tune has a pleasant sound and lasts for a long time when wound up all the way. My four year niece absolutely loves this jewelry box. She walks around carrying it and begs to take it everywhere she goes. So far everything has remained in working order. It's fairly small, but large enough to fit a few bracelets, rings, necklaces, and other little treasures. I bought it for my friend's 6-year-old daughter so it's a good size for her.The little ballerina twirls round and round as the music plays. There's a crank in the back so you can keep playing the music. The volume is good. Not too loud or soft. It also stops once the lid is closed. The box itself is made of a very durable cardboard material, but it appears well-made and of good quality. There's also a fancy oval mirror and the inside is lined with a velvet/felt type material.5
