Pizza Pizzaz! Beautiful pizza peel...so pretty you will want to hang it on your kitchen wall. It makes my rustic pizza look gorgeous! Best customer service of all the many companies that I have purchased from through Amazon. Since my pizza is loaded with sauce, sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, onions, and cheese, I will be baking my pizza on parchment so it is easier to slide on and off the pizza peel. With so many choices, I had a hard time deciding, but I finally found a pizza peel that has functionality and aesthetics....pizza pizzaz! 5Questionable quality This arrived broken on arrival. Paddle appears to be made of a few pieces of wood and one was floating around in the packaging. Hesitant to reorder as I suspect this won t last. 1Great quality, handsome pizza peel! We have been getting way into homemade pizza-baking, and bread-baking. We had another pizza/bread peel, but it broke (we accidentally let it get too moist/wet and the boards split!). We got this one, and it has been quite durable so far. We like that it is one of the wider/larger ones we were able to find on Amazon. The wood quality is better than some of the other options out there. The shorter handle is easy to maneuver rather than the longer handles - we just use it in our home kitchen oven. It has a gradient lip around the entire edge that is helpful in working the peel back under pies once they're ready to come out, etc. Overall, very happy with the purchase. We are able to wipe it clean pretty easily, and now know to not let it soak in water, etc. so we don't ruin it! 5This is a beautiful, solid wood pizza peel. I purchased this beautiful pizza peel because I cooked a pizza that had no cardboard circle to support the pizza while it was cut. I was mortified. My cutting board isn't big enough to hold a freezer disc. I knew that I would need to be prepared for the next pizza disaster. I went to Amazon, because you can get anything you want and perused the pizza peels. I expected to find the typical balsa-wood type pizza peels when I was captivated by the beautiful Heritage Acacia Wood Pizza Peel (of which I am now a proud owner of). This beautiful pizza peel allows me to 1. Remove my hot pizza from the oven without burning my hands, 2. Provides a beautiful serving tray, 3. Fools my family and friends into thinking I made homemade pizza, and last but not least 4. Provided me the opportunity to educate Amanda Ricci about the honor and privilege of being the proud owner of a genuine Acacia Wood Pizza Peel. 5... use with our existent pizza stone and also looked like a quality product This was the most reasonably priced as we call it "pizza spatula" I could find on amazon that was both big enough to use with our existent pizza stone and also looked like a quality product. We've used it at least ten times now and I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised by this product especially for the price. This one was of comparable quality as others we had seen in stores that were twice the price.The two things I've stuck to while using my "pizza spatula" is dusting with corn meal to help the pizza slide off and on to the pizza stone in the oven. Then we also only wipe it down with a damp soapy sponge, rinse with water, and dry immediately. As I've said we have now used it several times and it still works and looks great. 4Peace and Joy If making pizzas at home is one way that you find peace and joy in this world, then you will appreciate this pizza peel. It is beautiful and certainly looks the part of a fantastic peel, but does it do the job? Will you build your pizza, only to have it stick on your new peel like it does on your metal peel or on your other old wooden peel with the cracks in it? Or will it glide off your peel onto your baking stone because it is made of acacia wood and you have followed the easy directions that come with the Heritage peel? I used my Heritage the very day that I received it, and my pizza glided, baby! Peace and joy were the result (and a fantastic pizza!). 100% happy with this peel. 5Pizza Peel Perfection! This is a beautiful product! I had purchased a different one, that I sent back because it would only handle a nine inch pizza. Then I ordered this one because it was large enough for a twelve inch pie. However, this one was so much better than the other in many ways. The thickness of it is perfect. Thinner and lighter weight for ease of handling, rich finish, and very thin front edge to slide under pizza, are some of its great features. The handle is a good length for balance, and little hole in handle for hanging. It's too pretty to hide in a cupboard. Simply the best! 5Beatiful and functional pizza peel First of all, it is beautiful. We have hung it on our kitchen wall as a decorative element. Second, it is the perfect size for home pizza baking. Third, it is easy to clean; just wipe it off with a damp rag as the directions suggest. Fourth, and despite a review indicating that it is difficult to slide under a pizza, it is easy to use; even though it is much thicker than a metal peel it slides easily under a pizza. A very nice tool. 5Great Pizza Peel I read a lot of reviews for wooden pizza peels before I ordered this item. I finally decided that this would be the one. I have to say I am very pleased not only with this item but with the customer service that I didn't even need from this company. Once they knew I had placed the order the owner sent a nice email stating he hoped I'd be happy with it and has the most unique, original way of informing you that your pizza peel is on its way. When the item arrived I was just thrilled with it - it is beautiful. And even more importantly than that, it is great for sliding pizzas off into my pizza oven. The pizza dough did not stick at all with the use of a little bit of cornmeal on it. It was so easy to use. Since I've never used a wooden one before I was not sure what to expect but I need have had no fears whatsoever. The peel is so pretty it is now hanging on the wall in my kitchen on display in between uses with my pizza oven. So, I plan to use the wooden one to place the pizza into the oven and my metal one to remove the pizza since I want to keep this one looking pretty. We made five pizzas over this weekend and the peel worked like a charm. I just cleaned it with a damp cloth when I was finished. The surface of the peel is very smooth, the grain is just beautiful, the pizza slides off easily, and I know I'm going to enjoy using this peel for very long time. The owner also sends you an email after you've received it just to check on how you liked your item. What more could a person ask for? Buy this one; you will love it. 5Beautiful and functional too! Arrived this afternoon - so quick! - used it for our pizza dinner a couple of hours later! It's just beautiful. In fact, my rather picky husband was so thrilled with the design that he set about hanging it on our kitchen wall immediately after clean up! Thanks to the designers and creators! 5
