Buy this air hose. High quality Bought this air hose to replace one of those horrid, stiff little hoses that seem to come with many compressors. The advantages of a nice hose like this are: Less kinking, they lay flat, super flexible even when cold, higher airflow capacity, and believe it or not a bit more compressed air storage capacity within the larger hose. Just the fact you don't have to fight with those miserable "coiled, plastic" type hoses makes this worthwhile. I like the vivid green color from a visibility standpoint but I imagine it will lose that nice look after a few months of being dragged all over a dirty, greasy shop floor. 5Not that impressed I'm not that impressed with this air hose. It's better than the cheap vinyl hoses out there, but not as good as a quality rubber air hose. It is pretty flexible when not under pressure, but when it is pressurized it wants to tangle up. I thought maybe it was just due to being new and tightly coiled, but it hasn't improved any over time. I have several other quality rubber air hoses and they never tangle like this hose. 3Do NOT BUY The hose was used lightly on a system with a regulator set at 115psi and air dryer system. The hose begin bulging out along the upper end before the fitting. Obviously not rated to 300psi (or 120psi )as advertised. This was in a dry environment and used to blow off equipment . Only used for 3 weeks. 1Very soft and stays flexable I have been an Auto Mechanic for more than 25 years and probably used about every kind and brand of shop air hose out there.This hose stays soft and bendable when not under pressure and is easy to work with and the bright green color is a real plus.One of the nicest things is the length 25 foot is to short to go all the way around a car and 50 foot is to much the 35 foot length is just right,When the hose is wound up and you put the air to it, it will get tangled a little at first but nothing like some of the regular rubber hoses.for the most part this hose will lay flat. The reusable ends on the pr Flexilla are nice if for some reason and end comes off it can be easly reattachedIt's a pet peve of mine of ussing hose clamps to hold the ends on the cut and scrap everything they touch. I bought this identical hose about 2 1/2 years ago, when I used it, it didn't seem to reach as far as my old 25' hose, so I measured it and it was actually only 22 1/2' long. I contacted the manufacturer and they wrote me and said it must have been miscut during production and I should return it to the place of purchase. I didn't bother returning it because I bought it online and didn't want to go through the hassle. Used the hose for a couple years or so and after several normal repairs the hose was short enough that it was time for a new one. Ordered a new one, used it for a few days and decided to measure it- 22' 6", coincidence? Doubt it. If Flexilla wants to sell 25' air hoses and give you only 22 1/2' I think a 10% cost reduction should be in place to compensate for the 10% shortage of product. If you buy this hose I highly recomend measuring it to see what they are shorting you, when I sell someone 25' of molding they usually get 25'+. Great hose but it comes up a little short 2Good design I recommend this as a leader hose to all types of air tools. I use the 3/8" for the first 50 to 100 foot, then connect this 1/4".-The bright color keeps the job site more safe. It's nice because it lightens up the weight at the air tool a bit, and easier in tight spaceswithout kinking. Thank you.Update: 07-06-18, Product is still performing as promised. 5These are an excellent hose where you would like something more flexible These are an excellent hose where you would like something more flexible. They are very flexible and lay down nice .Yes the outer skin is soft...if you need a hose that will get stepped on a lot in rough ground, maybe look at a more rigid hose where flexibility is sacrificed . I have a few of these flexzilla hoses in skinny 1/4" and standard 3/8", also have a few harder, more rigid hoses.This is not the hose to run from the compressor across 50 feet of rocky ground into the job site. Use cheaper, more rigid hoses for that, these are best for close to the work or in a shop. the 1/4" is especially good inside a shop with small air tools, die grinders, air nozzles, etc . Very flexible . The Flexzilla hose seems very durable so far, and i'm very happy with it.I've been using air tools and hoses since the early 90's in carpentry, roofing and in the home shop. 5Great, light, well designed product. This is so close to five stars I'm torn on giving it that. I needed a lightweight flexible hose that I could cut a custom length for a touch-up HVLP spray gun. I wanted to buy the product from one of their build a hose centers but there was none remotely locally. So I bought a 50 ft hose, cut the length I needed and added new ends to both hoses now I have two.The stuff truly is light and flexible. I wouldn't say it's as light as some of the plastic hoses out there but it's every bit half the weight of a rubber hose and rated for 300 PSI. It was stupidly easy to add their ends onto the hose. It lays quite well and doesn't have memory issues. I really am extremely impressed with the hose and ends.Now for the negatives to the product. The hose being so light doesn't lay flat if there's a twist in it. This REALLY is a tiny and minor knock, I have a poly hose that this is replacing that is vastly worse about this, old school rubber hoses do this as well and are twice the weight. Airflow, this 1/4" hose won't flow as much air as a normal 1/4" hose. The design of the fittings make the port diameter roughly 0.168" it's obviously to allow for the barb to have enough metal to be strong, but it's a choke point in the hose. You could buy the 3/8" hose and solve that problem all together if you really need CFM. Lastly, it's not cheap stuff, particularly the cost of the fittings. 4Does Not Lie Flat As Advertised See the attached picture when under about 120 psi of pressure (it creates large loops and tripping hazards). The rubber hose this replaced lies much flatter when under pressure.Advertised as lying flat with no memory. This is only the case where not under pressure. As not very many individuals use an air hose without pressurized air in it, why is Flexzilla making this claim?Lightweight? Yes.Doesn t kink, but gets very close. The rubber hose this replaced would roll out of an almost-kink situation like this. See other attached picture.Overall disappointed in the flexibility of this air hose. 2
