Even if you put it in a much smaller window, the material doesn't have that thick cottony look and feel. Very disappointed.2Very Good Quality - Perfect for Intended Use I have a second floor apartment with 13 large (tall) Windows. These are perfect for covering the bottom half of each window. Allows the top Windows to permit light into the various rooms. Second floor of a restored farm house... Surrounded by many trees... Provides a tree-house effect. Some of the Windows also have a top valence. Very good quality... When ironed... They become nice and crisp in appearance... Almost like a heaven handkerchief. I don't recommend buying this product. 1Allows both privacy and light These curtains worked to give me enough privacy in my bathroom window while still letting in light. They don't seem to naturally "flow/bend" like in the pictures -- that's not a problem for me, but they don't hang like typical drapes, instead giving more of a flat, square feel due to the stiffness of the fabric. I was able to quickly de-wrinkle with a fabric steamer and they hang easily. For this price, I would recommend for a casual window where you wouldn't be opening and closing frequently. 4Doesn't look like the photoI was very disappointed when this valance arrived as it does not look like the photo. I took one star off becauase I bought ... Let me preface this by saying I have been trying to find curtains for my camper windows for three years. I happened across these and bought them on a whim hoping and praying that they would be the right length and width (because in three years every time I measured them I lost the measurements). They came, I hung them and they're PERFECT! I took one star off becauase I bought these pairs and each pair has minimal length discrepancy but discrepancy nonetheless. So if you happen to be on the endless journey I was, give them a try! 4Paper thin, provide little privacy Like many others have said, these are sheer, or nearly so. You can see right through them to the outside during the day, and from the outside at night, you can easily see through them to the inside. Material is very light weight and thin and reminds me of one or two ply facial tissue, except much rougher. If you plan to have them open and tied up at all times, it might be okay. I realize these aren't meant to be block out curtains, but as far as providing any kind of privacy, unless they are in a very small window bunched up, they are practically useless for that purpose. 2Lucky length Was hard to find simple short white curtains for my back door, was prepared for these to be a touch long for what I needed but turns out the curtain (top of window to bottom) covers up to 26.5in of window space so I don't have to shorten these as expected! Of course it depends on the placement of your curtain rod, I just wish I'd thought of these minor details before this product arrived, I lucked out. 4they were all easy to remove I bought 2 sets to put in 1 long window. They came with different tags in different places, which wasn't a big deal, they were all easy to remove. What was an issue though is that 1 set is about a centimeter shorter than the other. They were made by different companies perhaps? They look bad together in the window, since the rod was hung to bring the bottoms right to the sill, and only 2 made it. 1Four StarsCute and inexpensive.4You need to stuff it yourself This item arrived in a timely manner and was exactly as displayed in the picture. You need to stuff the valance yourself. It comes flat and I was confused because the picture shows it puffed up. Buy some white tissue paper before it arrives. You can then lightly ball up the tissue paper and stuff it. Once you stuff it and hang it, it's beautiful. I have it in the kitchen above the sink window. 5
