The award winning German engineered Evolon offers 1 micron filtration using a microfilament technology, creating a physical barrier against allergens.
Evolon is made using an eco-friendly process and because of its large internal surface area, it can absorb 400% of its weight in water and dries very quickly.
This breathable fabric is not coated, and it has no PVCs and no chemical post treatments. The fabric is rustle-free, comfortable, and has no "plastic" feeling.
Sleep Safe ZipCover Evolution pillow protectors provide total bedbug, dustmite, dander, and allergen protection making it ideal for allergy sufferers.

Great for allergy sufferers I purchased these pillow covers for my son who has a pretty hardcore dust mite allergy. He tends to cough a lot at night, and I began wondering if maybe his pillows/bedding were to blame. We stripped his bed and bought new pillows that are hypoallergenic, then purchased these covers for them since they are dust mite proof. The covers are made of a thick material that fully encases the pillows. I feel like they are a little oversized, which was good in our case since my son prefers a full/overstuffed pillow.The covers themselves are nice and they are breathable. They aren t made of plastic or vinyl, but they do have a very soft rustle sound a little bit when you move on them. I didn t mention it because I wanted to see if he noticed it on his own. He did notice it and made a comment about it the very first night, but he said it wasn t bad and he still wanted to use them. After a couple of nights, he said he didn t even notice it anymore. He said he does think they are helping him and that he feels better sleeping on them.I would definitely recommend these pillow covers to any allergy sufferers out there. I think they make a remarkable difference in the way my son has felt since we put them on his pillows. I also feel they are a good value for what you get. Enjoy. 4I was having terrible allergic reactions only while sleeping I was having terrible allergic reactions only while sleeping. My nose was constantly dripping and I was sneezing around 3 or 4 AM. It was awful and I couldn't get any sleep. At first I thought it was caused by pet dander in my bedding and pillows. I considered kicking my cats off the bed. I washed my bedding in hot water and that improved things for a bit...but then I started having sniffles again soon.So I did a little googling and I learned about dust mite allergies. Well, I thought I would give a dust mite protector a try. I put it on my pillow, put my case over it, and it worked! No more sniffles at night. 5Blocks that Down Feather Smell I had bought some hypoallergenic down pillows locally, but they always smelled like feathers and I couldn't sleep. The pillows were comfortable, though, so I came to Amazon to find something to help and found these. I figured that if these blocked in other allergens that they could block in the feather smell too. These need to be washed before using and are sold individually (I thought that two came in a package when I placed the first order and had to order another one after the first arrived), but they seem to have solved the problem. 5Great soft material feels almost sueded I tried many types of pillow and mattress protectors and this Evolon material is the most comfortable I've found. The material feels the most similar to regular fabric and is very soft not crunchy. It has a matte and slightly sueded look and feel, and is not shiny or slippery like some other covers. This pillow cover won't be loud when you move your head around and you won't mind feeling the cover from the open end of a pillow case. All in all this is made of a really unique material that isn't available from other brands and seems to be well made.. 5The hives grew worse due to sleep scratching and became rashes that ended ... I got it after having an extreme allergy outbreak that resulted in my arms, chest, stomach, and legs being covered in hives. So far, I have had no outbreaks. 5Very impressed! When these pillow protectors first arrived, I was skeptical since they were not soft right out of the package. I took a chance and washed and dried them twice. After each wash and dry, the pillow protectors became softer and softer. I am totally impressed! They fit our king size pillows nicely. The zippers work well and appear to be of high quality. Product comes with a ten year warranty so I'm thinking these pillow protectors will be around for a long time to come. The fabric was different feeling as I took it out of the package, but don't let that deter you. After washing and drying a couple of times, I've already decided these pillow protectors are keepers. 4Very good product- WASH FIRST!!! I purchased a set 9 months ago and have been pleased with them. I just purchased another 2 in king size. If you follow the washing instructions, these really do hold up VERY WELL. However, they feel plastic-y right out of the package. Wash and dry once or twice before use, and they soften up quite nicely.Contrary to some reviews I've read online, these are MADE IN THE USA. All the Eco Living Evolon products I've seen are made in the USA.Even my pickiest child cannot tell that this is on his pillow. These make a significant difference in sleep quality when dealing with allergies and dust mites. We've never had bed bugs, but I would certainly be willing to try them if we did, given how they have performed for us so far. 5Feel like they are made out of paper! I was thinking I was buying a quality product based on the high number of 5 star reviews. These pillow protectors are cheaply made. They are rough, feel like heavy duty paper and don't seem like they would hold up. I put them on my pillow to test and they were too big for them and I can tell they will be noisy and crinkly. I will be returning asap. What a waste of my time and money. 1Protective and Comfortable I am extremely allergic to dust mites. I have bought the (home safe brand? Comes in an orange package) before and I like this a lot better, the material feels thicker. It stays cooler (so I don't flip my pillow cases all night) and it's hard to explain but the material is just rough enough to feel substantial while being soft to the touch so that you can tell it's there. ps. I still put pillow cases over the top of it when in use but if you didn't have that option the material would still be pleasant to sleep on, it is more cotton-y than plastic/sticky like other brands. 5WHY FIVE STARS...PROS AND CONS PROS:THICKER than covers that are finely-woven and feel like light pillowcase.GOOD PRICEWASHED WELL. I DO WASH ON DELICATE AND DRY ON LOW HEAT BEFORE USING.NOT REALLY CONS, BUT WHY I USE MORE THAN ONE PROTECTOR.....I USE THIS first, than a softer ALLERSOFT pillow protector. WHY? Because ONE, I am sensitive to allergens, TWO, I can take the FIRST (ALLERSOFT cover) off to wash, leaving this one behind. That keeps my pillow from having to be washed for ages, as it has two covers. I DO wash BOTH covers from time to time, but having TWO of different brands and thicknesses DEFINITELY makes a difference for an allergy sufferer and well worth the extra bucks. 5
