Great quality deli containersI was in search of deli containers with secure, leak proof lids in which to freeze soups and stock. I saw some of these some on a restaurant supply house site but it required you purchase a case and the shipping cost was ridiculous. I was so happy to find the same item on Amazon at a reasonable price with a reasonable quantity. I have tried several other types of these and found the containers leaked or cracked. These are amazing. I can fill the container with stock, turn it upside down with no leakeage. Pretty impressive. These containers can be washed and used another day. I highly recommend these deli containers. I will definitely get 16 oz containers as well as the 32 oz. 5Not clear at all.The description said these cups were clear which one would think that means see through, without color, and transparent. These were not clear out all. They seem to keep a tight seal at first but after just opening and closing one while watching a movie, that seal was not as tight at all. I tested a cup under hot water from the sink and was able to wash it. They are not strong enough for boiling water for true sanitizing, the lids warped so there is no way to sanitize them properly if you planned to use them more than once for things that needed to be microscopically clean. I placed one in the microwave with liquids for 3 minutes. The plastic didn t melt but it was burning my hand through the plastic. Also note, the plastic became very pliable and it took very little pressure for the plastic to bend inward and caused the hot fluids to spill over onto my hand.For basic storage, the would do ok if you didn t need to clearly see the contents and were willing to label them.For cold food storage, they were perfect but again if you don t mind opening the lid to see clearly what is inside.I returned them and I am still waiting for my refund. I needed them to be clear as stated in the discrimination for what I intended to use them for. Transportation of venomous arachnids and other venomous inverts can be risky but more so if you can t see where the animal is to start with when opening the lid. Only one star because the discrepancy in description of the item by the company and because of that, it did not meet my first requirement and expectation. How ever, I would rate it 3 for the other things that I mentioned if that is what I actually needed it for. 1PLEASED!!!Quite as described in the product materials. They come shrink-wrapped...the lids are VERY tight fitting (but easy to open). I've used them in lunch boxes (no leaks), in the 'fridge, and in the freezer without incident. They're good quality plastic and stand up to the microwave and dishwasher (top rack only). 5great!I love these and use them all the time! They freeze well, they're great for leftovers or for prepping food ahead in the freezer. I love to make up big batches of soup and freeze! 5They're not clear plasticFrom the picture it looks like these containers are clear , but they are not . They are a kind of hazy white so it's a little difficult to see my craft items through the plastic. I'm not going to return them because they are nice plastic containers for leftovers and they were affordable. Just not going to be able to use them for their intended purpose. 3The absolute best for my needsThese are so much better than most deli containers I ve received at actual delis. I bought them to store and freeze the food I make for my dog. These freeze really well, are sturdy, and clean up really well on the top shelf of my dishwasher. I use 20 on rotation (which is more than enough for my needs) and the other 20 are stored away to replace tired ones as needed. And speaking of storage, these are great because they stack into a really neat, compact little tower that fits easily in a cabinet. I m really glad I bought these. They paid for themselves within the first week and it looks like they re going to last for years. 5At best, these are disposable onlyThese may be worth the price if you realize that they don't last long. So, if you're the kind of person or ministry that gives away food to others, they would be appropriate and possibly worth the price. They are breaking - one by one as I use them. I hand wash them, so they aren't getting beaten up in the dishwasher. I don't freeze them or put anything hot in them either. So, I consider that these should be better advertised as 'disposable'. For me, they last for 3 to 4 uses and then they fall apart. They are extremely fragile and 'bendy'. They are just like the ones you get in your local take out deli when you buy potato salad or other deli item. I suppose they have their purpose, but I won't ever buy them again for myself. I prefer more stable reusable known brands. Although they are advertised as 'spill proof', I wouldn't count on that because their fragility can easily pop the tops, so don't consider them spill proof. 3Really good for my needs, would recommend.I use these for cold oats mainly. They are "air tight" as in the lid dome actually pops up due to the air pressure after you secure the lid. No spills so far, but for commute to work, I put the containers in a gallon zip loc and then into a spacious bag so nothing can snip/snag/disrupt the lid in transit.The lids are not super easy to put on say some, but I think they have issues due to not securely putting the lid on. You need to hold it in your hands like you're holding a turtle and press your palms onto the lid and you'll hear secure snaps as you rotate until it clicks the entire circumference of the container and is 'sealed'.For me there has not been an issue with cracked containers or the lids in shipment. Mine (so far ordered twice) have all come perfect condition. 5Very convenientLOVE these deli cups. I use them for a variety of needs: food storage to crafting. I also use these to portion out snacks/food for my child. I don t TRANSPORT anything liquid in this so I don t know if they leak or not. I do have the smaller cups that I will put ketchup in (my 5 yr old wants ketchup on everything). When I pack his lunch and need ketchup I put it in the smaller cups, then put glad press n seal over the cup, then lid, and then a small ziplock. I know it s a lot but my child will throw his lunch box around like a football so I try to keep any possible mess contained. I would do the same with these if I had to with anything that would potentially leak or cause a mess if the lid came off. These are easy to use and very convenient. Top rack only dishwasher does the job for cleaning. 5Good for storing soup frozenI use these to freeze extra soup. They clean up god in the dishwasher (top rack) but if you store tomato based soup in them expect some dis-colorization. If you freeze stuff in them remember to leave some air space. 5
