    It fitted like this for a little while but the elasticity in ...I used this band to attach to a new wig that I purchased. I needed the band for the purpose of making the wig fit tighter to my head. It fitted like this for a little while but the elasticity in the band started to become very weak very quickly after purchase. I did not like that about the band...but I'd like to think that it is still doing something! 3Perfect for tutusPerfect for tutus. I've tried a few different brands for tutus and they stretched funny with me tulle tied on it but this one doesn't. 5Great for a quick fixI purchased this elastic so that I could sew it into the waistband of a dress I was working on. The dress was a clearance item and didn't fit quite well enough at first. I took it home and realized the top of the bodice was a lost cause, so the dress became a skirt with the help of this Dritz Non-Roll Woven Elastic.I really liked that when I cut a length off, the ends didn't disintegrate immediately. I was able to hand-sew the entire length of elastic into the waistband of the skirt without it degrading at all. It's very sturdy and yet it's not so stiff a construction that it creates a rigid band within the fabric. It's only an inch wide, so it works well for an unobtrusive means of gently holding up your clothes. I myself cannot stand constrictive clothing so this did the trick. It has just enough give to be comfortable while providing a good fit when you're actively moving around.Totally recommend it! 5Perfect for adding waistbands to garmentsPerfect for adding waistbands to garments. I make a lot of pj pants for gifts and this is the elastic I use every time. It doesn't roll and get itself twisted inside the waistband, and it doesn't seem to loosen up very much over time. It's stretchier than most types of elastic, which I find to be more comfortable, but you should definitely take this into account when sewing with it. You'll probably want to use a slightly shorter length of this than you would use with a firmer elastic. I often end up taking off close to 3 inches from my usual elastic measurement to get the proper fit. (So, for example, if I would normally use a 34" length of elastic with 1" overlapped as a waistband measurement for someone with a 36" waist, I would cut a 32" length of this and overlap 1" to start, but will occasionally still have to take off 1/2"-1" to get the fit 'just right'.) 5This is a rather stiff elastic that makes it easy to measure.
