    Einstein barirsta. You want to impress your friends or co-workers with sophiscation. Then get this.I brought it to work and swear it got me a promotion cause suddenly I was looked upon as some upper class society member. It was referred to as a science project brewing system.People would come to me asking me about climate change, medical symptoms as well as anything about books and shows that are on the BBC. My only advice is that you preheat the water before putting it in because it can take a while to boil over . I also stopped using the cloth filter and I seldomly get grounds in the coffee. The glass is thin so be extra carefull. 5Stylish and functional I had purchased this primarily for its appearance but had to try it out. I had purchased some extra filters and they recommend boiling them first to prevent any off tastes. I made the first batch of coffee but did not boil or soak the filter and it tasted a bit off. The second batch I made turned out great. it makes a decent cup of coffee and it is interesting to watch. 5Makes as much soot as it does coffee This really is a clever coffee maker and it does make a fine cup of joe. My problem was soot. The boiler would get so much soot that it would be covered on the sides up to the top, so much that chunks of soot would fall off onto the burner. The soot even accumulated on the fulcrum arm where the boiler hangs. Cleaning was a chore as the soot gets everywhere.I tried everything I could think of to get the burner to burn cleaner. I pulled the wick back so just a nub was sticking out. I trimmed the nub down to get it even smaller. I tried isopropyl alcohol and I tried mineral spirits. I tried just barely filling the reservoir. I loosened the burner cap thinking maybe it was warming up and forcing too much fuel through the wick. Nothing helped, it always made soot.As cool as the concept is, I returned it. 1if it were a perfect method brew I Bought this for the taste and looks. I gave it three stars because the price is fair for what it does. if it were a perfect method brew, I can see it costing more, but it's not. First, the coffee server collects lots of soot as I feel that the burner is too close/big (?) for the brass vessel, which makes it a lot of work to clean. Also, it does not go up all the way on the lever as it's supposed to, in order to turn off the flame. you have to give it a little push up to let the cap release so this isn't a 'set and walk away' coffee maker. I'm probably going to oil the moving parts a tad to see if that will work. however, with all that said, the resulting coffee is delicious. this should be made with coarse grounds and 6tbsp for 1.5 cups will make a hefty but smooth cup or 2 small cups. in reality, if you don't mind the extra work, its fun and makes a good cup of Joe. 3Amazing coffee & Fun to make Love love love this machine. It's like watching a science experiment. First time is a little tricky but after that easy to use and makes a great cup of coffee. Not reccomend for a group only makes 1-2 cups at a time 5Really cool Really fun way to make 2 cups of coffee. The coffee is really good and the machine is easy to clean. Wished it worked, but it was useless. 1A Very Wonderful and Classy Coffee Maker I knew I have to get one of this after tasting and watching how this art piece brews a delicious cup in my colleague s house- warming party. You can t imagine the excitement I was in when I finally received this. It looks very classy and much prettier than in the pictures. The rose gold chrome finished is flawless with its beautiful wood base. Overall the device quality is excellent.++ Lovely gourd shaped fulcrum s base. Nice COFFEE emblem on the counter weight. U handle make it easy to move around. But always carry the spirit burner separately.++ The whole device is very stable with it sturdy wooden board base that houses the spirit burner, Brews and Boiler flask.++ Uses no electrical power. So even when the power is out, there will be no problems for me in sipping a cup of awesome coffee.++ Brewing is semi-automatic. The spirit burner will shut itself off so you do not have to baby sit it while its brewing.++ This device is pretty easy to operate and brewing coffee with it is fun and entertaining. To improve your technique, you can get a lot of operation information for this device on the web, although it came with an easy to understand English manual.++ Brewing and Boiler flasks are made of borosilicate glass and stainless steel. Both materials are easy to handle and is a breeze to clean.++ A great conversation starter and has make all my coffee loving friends jealous! It has truly earned itself a place on the dining table.I love this coffee maker. I use it 2-3 times for almost every day. It makes a very smooth cup of coffee and is always fun to watch. It will take about 15 minutes to get your delicious coffee at max capacity of 500ml for 2 good satisfying cups. This is one of the best systems I have ever used. With the same coffee beans, the brews clearly taste better with this than with an electric coffee maker.For me, this coffee maker is worth every penny spends. I will recommend it without hesitation to anyone looking for a new coffee maker. 5Best Cup of Coffee and Fun to Make This was exactly as advertised. It is not for someone who is impatient. It adds a nice ritual and a little elegance to brewing a fantastic cup of coffee. I thought it would be more difficult but worked beautifully. It does require attention and care but with that seems to be a very quality item. 5
