    Bad factory, but good customer service at Max WarehouseOrdered one because it was solid wood instead of veneer and the brass fittings looked sturdier than the chrome ones on my old toilet seat which had stripped out. Seat arrived with the lid cracked in two still in the shrink wrap. Contacted Max Warehouse, the seller, and they sent me a replacement. Installed that. Worked just fine until a week later when one of the plastic bumpers fell out because the idiots at the factory had only pressure fit them rather than use glue. I'm handy enough that I got my wood glue and glued that one in and then for good measure took all the others out and glued them in place too.I've kept the first broken seat for parts.That said, the wood on this second seat looks sound so I'll see how it goes. 2Poor packaging (product packagingPoor packaging (product packaging, not shipping packaging). You pretty much have to destroy the package in order to open it. So there is no test fitting, etc before you open it up. And the protruding pieces(that hold the roll in) is slighly too long. You have to squeeze your new roll of paper towel in order to push it in. You will leave indentation mark through the side of the entire roll, possibly crushing/mutilating the center tube in the process. Once it's on, it works fine though. There is enough clearance on all sides for the roll to rotate freely. 3Don't bother. Looks good but no quality control.No quality control here. The sides were not perpindicular to the base so a paper towel roll wouldn't fit. We took it apart to try and fix it and discovered that it was even worse when built but 'quality control' fudged it with some filler and glue to try and make it right. Unless you are handy and willing to rebuild, don't bother. 1This is not a toilet seat. Fishy.Because it is really elegant, easy to install, is not flimsy, and came at a good price. If I can install it, so can you. I am legally blind, yet I had no problems at all. Here's a hint: use a nail first. I used a nail to make a hole, to which I inserted the little plastic doo-hicky. Then screwing in the screw (with an electric screwdriver) was a breeze. I have a 6-year-old granddaughter who will use toilet paper to dry off her hands if a towel isn't readily available, so I put this at a level she can reach. It's perfect! Love itThe other reviews are for a toilet seat, or other bathroom fixings. I order and received a towel ring. I wonder why these are cross? I find it fishy and have re-evaluated my review because of it. It seems there are sellers on Amazon who try to boost their lousy reviews by crossing them with reviews of good product reviews. I'm not having it. 3Broke after only 2 1/2 months.I thought this was a wonderful product. We received it on Aug 24, 2017, and on Dec 5, 2017, it cracked right down the middle. A very uncomfortable and slightly painful experience. When we first rec'd this seat I could see that there had been a break & a good repair. I don't know why I didn't return it then. It broke again after only 2 1/2 months use of use here. We aren't large people. My husband repaired w/gorilla glue & it held until last week. It's now 8/4/18 so it lasted less than a year but with 2 repairs. 1Buyer beware.Ordered on 10-7-2016. Today, 11-12-2016, the seat cracked in HALF! I doubt that I can return a toilet seat that has been in use for a month, but I will not purchase this brand again. Additionally, since I'm writing this review, there were no instructions in the packaging. How difficult could it be to install a toilet seat? Not very, but there were plastic washers and it isn't explained whether they go on the top of the seat between the hinge and the toilet bowl, or underneath between the toilet bowl and the bolts. Two screws, two plastic washers, and two bolts comprise all the hardware. Regardless, I tried both "configurations" and neither kept the seat on any tighter than the other way. 1Toilet seat split after only 3 weeks of use.This toilet seat split down the right side after only 3 weeks of use. I got a second one for free from Amazon, and it cracked after only 3 days. These things are junk. I didn't bother to add photos because it looks about the same only on the other side~ 1It looks good but...The sides are not one piece. There are about three pieces of wood glued together for each side. One side was already coming apart when I received it. I don't like when manufacterers glue a bunch of pieces together when they could just use one piece of woodfor each side of this holder. The sides are only 3.5 inches wide. That would not require gluing three pieces together to make one narrow board. I could go to Menards and buy one solid oak board and remake the thing. It looks like eventually the glue will fail. 3Good quality for pricePretty nice quality. A couple of issues though. First, if you use the uncluded drywall anchors the brackets are not going to be flat against wall. This creates a little wobble. It would have been nice for the back to have recesses. You could substitute a flatter anchor instead. I d recommend a different anchor anyway, as the ones included are the cheapest variety. Second, two of the front screw hole recesses are too big for the included plugs. They will not stay in by friction. I suppose I ll glue them in. I m not too concerned with either, as this bar is at a utility sink. 4My new one is great and I've now had it several monthsThis toilet seat broke in half one month after I ordered it. I called Design House at Phone: 800-558-8700, and they sent me another one immediately free of charge. They verified that I bought it from Amazon and it was delivered within a week. My new one is great and I've now had it several months. If you get a bad one, just give them a call. The customer service rep was very nice. 4
