    Collapses under hot water due to design fault - my solution below. Design Fault: The bolts within the flexible joints will expand (lengthen) when hot water is run through this unit, and that will make it collapse under it's own weight.Solution: - stand away from the shower and run the hottest water you can through it. Turn off the water and then swiftly tighten the screws as hard as you can. Next hope that they do not break as it cools.In this way when you have your normal shower the joints should stay tight and the head remain in place. 3No complaints Read the reviews. Once installed, run your hot water for a few minutes to heat up the metal, then hand tighten the wing nuts. Afterwards, no leaking from the joints or collapsing arm. This works as well as "down under shower head" I installed for my parents. Wish I bought this sooner. 5I love the shower head I have the exact same one ... I love the shower head I have the exact same one from 20 years ago and it finally wore out so I ordered a new one what I found out though in the joints of the tube they don't use as good as washers as they did 20 years ago so it's hard for the head of the shower to stay up so you might want to be aware of that fact but other than that it's a great shower head especially when you take out the water restrictor 2Extension arm not 12", it's 9 inches max Not a bad faucet, considering the size I received is definitely not what the description says it is. The extension arm is not 12 inches - not by a long shot. It's 9 inches at the max. The package does not say 12 inches, either, it says 10 inches. Amazon send a replacement because they thought the wrong product had been picked at the warehouse. Nope - I got the exact same thing again in the 2nd shipment. Complaints made about the description being wrong and at best, misleading, fell on deaf ears and the description still hasn't been corrected months later. 3Get the 52685-PK Instead I had previously ordered and was very satisfied with the Delta 52685-PK but wanted to try the bigger shower can of the 52687-PK even though some other reviewers had given it thumbs down. To say that I was disappointed would be a gross understatement. Unless the pivot screw was tightened with a wrench the head would fall down as soon as the can filled with water. It could not be hand tightened enough to stay up. I noticed that the construction was not the same and it did not have the same adjustable arm design as the 52685-PK. As is generally the case with Amazon the return was quick and easy. I ordered a second 52685-PK to replace the returned 52687-PK and it is the installed and working completely satisfactorily. I always expect have a problem once in a while but this seems like a quality control issue at Delta since other folks are having the same problem. 1A+++ Excellent Extension Height, Powerful Stream, Great Quality I installed this new rainfall shower head last night, as my old rainfall one didn't extend high enough and had a weak stream even with the water flow restrictor removed. This one is high-quality metal (not cheap plastic) too. Hiiiighly recommend if you need an upgrade. I'm 6'4" and my arms and elbows never come close to hitting the head now and the water flow is suuuper strong with the water flow restrictor removed. Keeping the restrictor in delivers a gentler quieter stream, if that is your preference. I like a more powerful flow, which this delivers better than any other shower head I've tried. Also, some other reviews mention that this shower head collapses under its own weight. I'm not experiencing this, at least after two showers running full blast. The adjustment fasteners seem to hold the mechanics in place rock solid.(Delta Faucet 52687-PK) 5Good Short Term Buy Great if you can t raise your shower spout for a real rain head.After a while though, the joint gets a little loose and makes it easy to fall down even when you tighten the arm. 3Just as Described Great quality, love the soft waterfall! 5What a unit We have had one of these in our winter home for many years. It has served our needs very well, so I ordered another one for our summer home. It is such a fine unit I just ordered another one for our son and daughter-in-law. 5A whole new shower! i love this thing, best money I have spent in a long time. I removed the low flow plug and this thing can put out some water. As Some other reviewers stated the head falls down when on. However I tightened the screw as snug as I could and 20+ showers later no issues. I am 6'3" and for the first time in my life don't have to bend down to wash my hair. 5
