Great for big batches of tea!I'm recently obsessed with Thai iced tea but I'm not a big fan of the price tag at restaurants. I started making it with boba at home and it tastes just like the restaurants. I started using cheesecloth to strain the cup of tea that needed to steep in the water but that has been messy. Thanks to this filter, I can easily fit over a cup of loose tea inside and let it steep in the water for as long as I want with out a messy clean up. This works great and I'm now making more tea since it is so easy. 5Sturdy Large-Capacity Thai Tea FilterThis is my first Thai Tea filter. I assume they come in different sizes since mine is advertised as a Large. I love the size, just didn't expect it! The opening (wrapped well around a sturdy wire ring with long handle) is the same size as the top of my 12 cup coffee carafe. Attached a pic showing. It is good quality at the seams, the metal frame/handle seems quite sturdy, the filter has really good capacity, and boy does it filter all but the VERY FINEST tea ground powder. 5I love it! I make loose leaf iced tea all ...I love it! I make loose leaf iced tea all the time and I was using a little plastic coffee filter until I saw this. Now I can steep my leaves in a big pitcher and then strain it all right in to the serving pitcher without having to stop and clean the leaves out of the filter 5I used to be able to find these for much ...I used to be able to find these for much cheaper at my local Asian store when I lived in a smaller city, but I can't find them anymore where I'm currently at. Makes making my thai tea much easier, and it comes out delicious every time. Nothing gets through except deliciousness! 5Good price, good quality.This strainer works well and catches all the tea leaves. It had a slight chemical smell upon arrival but disappeared after just rinsing it out with warm water, then I washed it with dish soap. I have used it about 5 times and the tea color rinses out for the most part and the metal has not rusted. It's huge and could accommodate enough tea to make a few gallons. I make about 4 cups at a time because that's how big my Pyrex glass measuring cup is. It arrived on time and in good condition. 5Worked like a charmI bought a 1.8L tea jug and used this to strain my Thai tea mixture. Worked like a charm. Was easy to clean afterward by running water over and inverting the filter over and over thereby removing the leaves. I bought the Number One Brand Thai tea leaves and there was no particulate matter in my glass of iced tea I just finished. Delicious. 5Works perfectlyWorked great to strain my Thai tea. Easy to clean. Constructed well. Could be used to strain many other things as well. Similar to a tee shirt type material. Large enough to strain a whole lot of tea and still have room. 5Large cloth tea strainerI did not read the size description closely enough. I thought this tea filter was for making 1-2 cups of tea. It is way to big for my use. It does appear to be very well made and has a sturdy construction. Because it was too big for my use, I gave it to some toddlers in my family to catch butterflies. 4Not worth $2The netting is impossible to clean. It s a cotton not a synthetic, not really suited for this purpose. Looks durable enough if you don t mind the stains and tea remnants. It took forever to arrive and cost little or I would try send it back. Ordered this because it was so well reviewed, but I recommend you look for another option.
